Three years ago we bought pavers. Current day, we were in a pinch to find materials for our fireplace. The selection is huge. After walking the store and feeling overwhelmed, Rick helped by educating us on the various options we were interested in. I appreciate his patience, knowledge, and suggestions. I finally completed my backyard project, which was a 5 stage, 1 1/2 year project that started in August 2021. You can see my previous review for just the zen garden portion. Three stages of the five were done with Sepulveda Building Materials. All of which Erica assisted and helped me with the stone selection. Just look at the photos of the completed project to see yourself. This was literally a 14 ton stone, brick, and rock project. It came out beautiful! As with the first time, I shared what vision I had in mind with Erica, and she gave me her honest feedback. In every case, where Erica had different ideas for stone selection, I went with her suggestions, and I am very glad I did. I am getting a lot of praise on how beautiful the project came out. Over the last 15 years I have shopped at Sepulveda several times and never made a purchase. The customer service reps. are rude and impatient. They clearly do not like dealing with homeowners. And there prices are not close to competitive with The Home Depot. They would only be a last resort, otherwise don't bother. read more

We purchased Saltillo Lincoln pavers from Sepulveda. We ordered the tile to be delivered for a job we were doing on the weekend. When the order arrived there were two different kinds of tiles and many of the tiles were broken, which meant the people we hired could not complete the job. Fast forward a couple months and the tile has been installed and sealed. With the rain, the tile has turned into a putty and many are cracked. We were sold a defective product and are out thousands for the patio we just completed. read more

From the moment I called to inquire about decorative rock and received the red-carpet treatment with Jason-- I knew I had the right company to handle my makeover. Then I arrived at Sepulveda and went out to the yard, not having been there before had the absolute pleasure of Jessee walking me directly to the pea gravel arena. WOW!! I said to myself.. I haven't been treated so wonderfully by a big company in a loooong while -- How Wonderful, I thought. Then inside Jason reappeared and introduced himself after requested the manager to share my happy experience.. So I ordered and Jason held my hand completely throughout by first figuring out the cubic yards I needed with my measurements. Jason called to confirm delivery and I was just a small order and yet he treated me like I was ordering enough material for the Angel Stadium---How could this company get any better? BUT WAIT-- Then my several pallets of beautiful Apache Pea Gravel arrives with the kindest, most sincere, professional 18-wheeler truck driver you ever met. I shared my concern about the tight area and with his authentic reassuring smile-- He promised me I would be happy after he unloaded the pallets with the forklift.. BOY WAS I EVER HAPPY -- and very pleased to meet JP who has happily worked for Sepulveda for over 38 Years-- YES THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS! I have used Sepulveda building materials for the last 22 years their continued professionalism and professional staff makes every purchase worthwhile and they follow through on everything that they promised to do!! Yesterday I took a picture of some rock samples and some people had put the wrong size rocks in the basket I was looking at outside of their building when the delivery came and they were the wrong size rocks I went back to Sepulveda and George helped me get the correct stones because of the error on both myself and Sepulveda they were very fair and exchanging my load of smaller rocks for the bigger ones with only charge me 1/2 delivery charge because of the error both on me and the erroneous display of rocks which somebody had moved into the wrong display basket !! The bottom line is they are a very professional organization very helpful always courteous and I will do business with them in the future whenever I need landscaping materials!! Asked for help several times and was told I had to wait my turn. Ok seems like reasonable response. So I wait and finally the gentleman walks up to me in the aisle and begins talking to the man behind me! Wait what?!?! I was here before him and was told to wait my turn, so how is it appropriate to help him first? The gentleman did not respond and told me I had to go stand in line over at the counter. So I go to stand in line. After a 20min wait in line I end up back with this gentleman that refused to help me previously. I put the bs behind me and began asking my questions about the products. I only could get 1to 2 word answers from him. Then when I asked the price he told me $400 he believed it was. I said great could you please verify the price for me. Upon his return with printed price the product was $327. I do not understand how in 2023 a male employee can be allowed to treat a female customer like this????? This store should have a manager that could step in and approximately handled the situation. Rude to any customer should not be allowed but guess this place runs differently. Could I give them a zero? They do have a good selection of stone. That's it. The customer service is awful. The employees have such a bad attitude, not at all helpful, really lacking even the most basic knowledge of not only their own company process but of the materials they sell. I wouldn't ever come here again but they are the only game in town. I would rather bring my customers to LA or the I.E. than come here and wait for hours to have someone help me. This place has literally hit rock bottom. I mean I'm not one that likes to put up a bad review for another business unless it is absolutely necessary but believe me when I say that things are bad at this place. Customer service has gone bye bye, there inventory might as well be called the circus and I don't think anyone there knows the difference between right and left. I just don't even know where to begin........ I have had several of my orders be incorrect amounts or incorrect types of material. I have had so many delays with jobs and projects because of they're constant screw ups and I mean once or twice is not a big deal, but we are talking almost on a daily basis the orders are incorrect or they charge my card for a material that ends up not being seen anywhere in the yard and then I have to beg them to refund the money back, etc. etc. PLEASE!! PLEASE!!! make sure you are ready to be disappointed when you go there. read more

I have never had a bad experience with Sepulveda, they are usually busy as with most building supply companies, but I always get what I need in a timely manner. They do have a nice variety of supplies and George saw my wife and I out front looking at pavers one time and brought to our attention the huge difference between Porcelain and regular pavers in regards to how much cooler on your feet the Porcelain ones are.
