Trevor needs to be fired. Waiting more than a year for a wheelchair? First he didn't put the order in when we first called in and every time we called it would be starting the process all over again. Months would go by and we would call and literally the *day* we called was the day they would *start* the process. We got fitted for a chair and everything by March of 2025 only to be told at the last minute that they ran the insurance incorrectly and showed us the incorrect model. We came back and looked at a different model and got fitted again and now it's JUNE 2025 and we're being told that *on that day* it was just sent to the doctor for authorization. Hahaha. This is a joke. Compete joke. The first slip up of taking months to initially put in the referral for occupational was already enough of a mistake. The accidental insurance mix up and getting us the wrong wheelchair so we'd have to go and start the process alllllll over again is enough of a mistake. BUT... now to just forget about us after 3 more months of waiting and getting a notice that the process has been restarted and the doctor needs a new signature. This is ridiculous. We've been forgotten about completely. This is horrific clinic and it's being poorly managed. How is the office going to voicemail at 2pm on a Wednesday? The corporate office connection number told me that they were unable to reach that branch. Do NOT go here if you want a wheelchair. I think they're possibly mismanaging money or committing medical fraud. No amount of niceties are worth the level of negligence with regard to care. They should be reported. read more

My insurance, Kaiser, uses NSM as a sole source provider. They know they that and they flaunt it. They know it's them or nothing. I ordered parts for wheelchair repair over the span of 3 months, they tried to give me something other than what I ordered. Today, I went to pick up the parts and sure enough, they were wrong (this is not the first time). When I mentioned that they could obtain the correct parts from another supplier, they said they wouldn't because they wouldn't make enough of a profit. I said you should be helping to get what the customer needs. He said he needs to make a bigger profit because "money makes the world go round ". In other words, they do not care about the customer, just how much money they can line their pockets with. Fact... I purchased the parts on line for just a few bucks more than my 20% copay read more

If I could give half of a star, then I would. My mom needs a powerchair for back support. It took a year and a half to get it once insurance approved it. Because it took so long, my mom's back changed, so it doesn't fit her. Now it's sitting in our house holding boxes for the last couple of months, and I can't get anyone to make it right. We needed new brake for a wheel chair we got from them. I tried calling them but the phone automation put me on hold indefinitely. I ended up going to the facility because I could not get through on the phone. They were nice enough to give me a temporary brake that I put on myself while they ordered the brake, however, this was 3/25/22. I had not heard from them for a few months so I called (got through this time) and the person I spoke to said the managers notes say they were waiting on a quote. The manager was not in that day. I asked for them to get back to me. I never heard back. It is now 11/26/22. Still waiting on the brake. read more

Pioneer Road, Huntington Valley facility This is the absolute worst place to go for wheelchair repairs. The facility I was given an appointment for wheelchair repair was not even accessible. You needed special instructions on how to enter (because there are stairs) AND even when confirming my appointment the day before, this information was not shared. After waiting almost 6 months for this appointment, they took my chair, and said they had to keep it to fix it. With no estimate of when it would be ready. They treated me in an horrible way. Tried to get parts ordered. I've been in a wheel chair for over 30 years. I have all the part #'s and items I need but cant get them to answer the phone. When I finally made contact with them and tried to place the order I was told they had to get back to me with a quote. Three more tries and they still haven't gotten back to me?..... Called DME hub today place the order with 1 phone call, should see my parts in 1 week!!! I will NEVER get stuck on NS&M merry go round again. Poor service, bad location and the office is always messy and dirty. They don't care about the end user at all. They just cozy up to the hospitals and doc's to get their gravy train contracts and don't bother at all with customer service or support. Very glad companies like DME hub exist. read more

We needed a lift for our daughter whose weigh now exceeds the limit that can be safely carried like before. Several weeks had passed before I called to inquire about the status of the order. Nothing! They never submitted to the insurance company. Unbelievable! BTW, the person that came to the house for the assesment happened to be the branch manager, Ryan, and he did not have a tape measurement with him. I guess he must be good at guessing the patients length, height etc. all of which are important in ordering the correct size equipment. NSM has been around for a long while. It's known for being slow base on our past experience getting a bath chair and from other parents who shared their experiences. I do not recommend this company. read more

I started the process for a new power wheelchair for my son one year ago in 2021. We provided all of the information that was requested. After about 7 months without hearing from anyone, I called. Some guy said he did not have everything that he needed to complete the order. Instead of calling or emailing me with his requests, he just sat on it. I went up the chain of command and was told the issue will be resolved. Well, here we are one year later and I still have not heard back from anyone. I sent an email today and requested the contact information for the CEO. I received an email from a V.P. stating he thinks he can make everything okay. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! Do NOT use this company! A custom wheelchair was ordered in July 2021 and paid for. It could have been delivered many times before the end of the year but due to no response from the operations team in Orlando, it wasn't delivered. There was no explanation for lack of communication. Insurance had to be reverified after the 1st of the year, which was another delay. Delivery was scheduled finally. 2 hours before the delivery was to be made, I received a call saying we owe $5500. Was the delivery delayed to get another $5500? Possibly. Whatever the reason they delayed the deliver, I hope for each member of the operations management that caused this delay better healthcare providers than they have been to our family should they find themselves in a similar situation. read more

Update after emailing their corporate offices and my bad reviews they have now called to say the wheelchair is miraculously fixed! We paid 60k for a power wheelchair it's less than a year old and now broken. We called 6 weeks ago they told us to call an online service. The online service has no clue; I gave them the error code and I had to google it for them. The module that is not working they said they would send someone out to fix it. Three weeks later a technician comes out has no clue and says maybe it needs new batteries. I ask didn't anyone leave notes about the error code and the module? He said no. He calls NSM they said they don't have notes but someone will call back. We keep calling and no answers. Then finally they ask us to bring the power chair to them. That they will fix it. We bring it in to our appointment a week later. They again have no clue, no notes. Now they need to keep it and "try" figure out the code and call the manufacturer. And at any rate it will take four to eight weeks to get it fixed. They are stalling and try to blow smoke. They chair costs as much as a Tesla and they sell it but can't fix it. The client "patient " has little recourse. Also the other clients waiting said they had multiple problems and sometimes waited up to six months to get there wheelchair fixed. No matter the state of their health or how much they complain. The company is only concerned about sales. read more

Back on February 14, 2023 I got hurt at a work accident and ended up in ICU not knowing if I was going to live. Workers Comp got in touched with my family to discuss house modifications to meet ADA compliance. Workers Comp got in touch with National Seating & Mobility in Florida to discuss what was needed so that I could come home after going to Shepard Center for rehab. NSM reached out to my wife in March 2023 about the modifications to our house. What was originally planned; install a ramp off the front of house, add 2 concrete pads, make our one bathroom in to a wet bathroom. NSM contracted to Delightfulservices LLC Owned by Juan Lopez out of Cartersville, Ga which contracted to DT Construction Owned by Juan Lopez out of Cartersville Ga. They applied for a building permit on August 18, 2023 (I returned home from rehab on May 2023). During the construction of the ramp, they would need a foundation inspection for all the posts to support the ramp. The Rowan County North Carolina building inspector came out and did his inspection as required by building code. They failed foundation inspection 3 times and on the fourth inspection they finally passed the inspection and got the OK to start building the ramp and a 20'x20'x4" concrete parking pad for wheelchair accessibility. When they started the parking pad we got a delivery of 5 pallets of concrete bags. They mixed all the concrete by hand which took them from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM to mix and pour the concrete pad. Then they went back to building the ramp and had a final inspection. The Inspector found that the railings where not mounted correctly, 2"x10" joists was tapered from 10" to 4" to contour grade, joist were screwed together with decking screws and a couple joist hangers. All this work took a little over 3 weeks for them to do. Since it failed inspection I was told that a crew would come out and make it correct (that was the end of August), but to date no one has shown up or returned calls. I still need doors widened to fit a wheelchair as the only way to use the front door is go out the back door, down the gravel driveway, up the ramp and into the front door as all the doors going from the back of the house to the new ramp are too small for a wheelchair to fit through. National Seating & Mobility subcontracted to 2 companies; DT construction insurance was canceled in May of 2023 and Delightfulservices LLC was listed as established and insured as of May 2023. I also checked with BBB (Better Business Bureau) and found out that they have a ton of complaints and investigation on not completing jobs after they have gotten the money or substandard workmanship to the point that people cannot sell their houses until things are fixed or take a big loss on the sale of the houses. I would recommend that everyone stay away from all these companies. read more

It takes forever to get a hold of someone when you call them. When you call, you are put on hold listening to a forever repetitive recording for more than 30-45 minutes and you end up giving up. If you leave a message, no one will return your call. read more

If I could give this company no stars, I would. I ordered two batteries for my son's wheelchair. I was told that they wouldn't be able to install them until April 29th. I ordered the batteries at the end of February. I cancelled the appointment. Someone from the company called me and said will you accept an appointment for April 12th. I said I would. Then they still don't show up. This has happened before....same company....same circumstance. I've been bringing my power chair here for years now. I continue to get the best service, so professional every time !! Lena is always extremely helpful and the rare times that I have to leave a message ... I always get a return call within hours! Last time I dropped off my chair to add some ankle straps, I was extremely pleased and so thankful that they helped with attaching my rubber joystick permanently ( it kept coming off ). If I could have given a negative star rating, I would have. My doctor's office sent my info to this company twice. Twice I called to check on the status of a wheelchair request, yet I was told they didn't have any info on me. I gave them my contact info. It's been 5 months & I've heard NOTHING from this place. I will never deal with this company ever again or recommend them to anybody. I was measured for a new wheelchair in early April 2022. As of October 2022 the order had not even been placed. The technician has been wonderful but I cannot say the same for the office staff. My complaints are almost exactly like most of the reviews I have read. Unreturned phone calls even after numerous messages have been left for them, dropped calls, etc. They (the office staff) do not care whether we have working or social lives or not. It's all about making a profit. I do not care how far I have to travel for a reliable company but i would not wheel across the street to do business with this company. I have several friends who are currently in the same situation with NSM as well. When I last was able to connect with the office I was told the GM would be contacted and get back to me. SURE! It was thrown back to the technician to call and say that the foul up was because he did not do some evaluation (which was not true) rather than they admit that they screwed up. I was also told that my doctor had not responded to 3 requests for additional information (which was not true). She showed me that she had received 1 request on August 18, 2022. She also showed me her response that she faxed back to them personally on August 21, 2022 and has never received any additional requests. How can this company still be in business? read more

FIND ANOTHER COMPANY! Ive waited for almost 3 WEEKS for an email from them regarding my BROKEN wheelchair. Ive called either 4 or 5 times and have yet to receive a lousey 1 minute phone conversation to tell me whats going on, or why. I met one of their service techs once, he was absolutely AWESOME, however, THAT took about 3 mos to happen too! My research has found they bought out HOME CARE MEDICAL out of Milwaukee, which abandoned me when my power wheelchair developed a mind of its own and took off INTO TRAFFIC!! I was nearly run over by a vehicle! Its been almost a yr and a half now, ... I STILL have the same chair, and STILL CANT GET A RETURN CALL FROM NATL SEATING & MOBILITY! Just a lousey phone call to convey whats going on! There is ZERO EXCUSE for that! Z E R O !!! Also, I used to install phone systems; a tactic to WEAR DOWN THE CALLER is to REPEAT a message with a 1 or 2 second pause, then REPEAT... driving the customer NUTS after having to listen to the same message 3x a minute, for 20 minutes.... or till the system FORCES you into leaving a message THATS NEVER RETURNED! We have delt with this company many times. They come in do an evaluation on patients for new custom wheelchairs talk it up on how great it will be and what they can do to help these patients. Therapy spends a lot of time on paper work and working with the patients then never hear back. It has happened many many times. Some people need repairs they come out and then it takes months and months to get the new replacement. I feel like they are so unprofessional. I don't know what kind of service this company actually performs because when I called them for service they put me off for three weeks. Then when the time for the appointment finally arrived, they never called to confirm a time. When I called they put me on hold and then hung up on me for almost 2 hours. After waiting for three weeks, you'd think they could have gotten here, but NOOOOOOO. This is really bad business practice. HORRIBLE COMPANY! Preys on those who need assistance with the cheapest, thrown together junk. I would give them a -10 if I could. They delivered a pieced together motorized wheelchair to my best friend. The joystick was attached to a rod that was held onto the arm of the chair by a clamp. The battery was just attached to the underside frame with a Velcro strap. The wheels were so out of balance and did not fit the frame that they rubbed the frame of the chair down to bare metal. You would have to fight with the foot rests to even get them to go down flat as they hit each other. When my friend tried to contact them on this issues, mainly the wheels rubbing the frame, they would not return calls and basically ghosted her. After months and months of going around and around on this chair, NSM basically insinuated that she sabotaged the chair. They will not stand behind their product. No customer service. Ask lots of questions and get everything in writing! Buyer beware! read more

This Company should not be in business. They never respond to calls, do not call back when we leave a message, impossible to get a hold of. When we did get a chance to talk to the owner, because we decided to stop by his shop and ran into him, he promised to get an item needed for the wheel chair and said he would call us when the item arrived. 3 months have passed nothing from them, we have left several messages and still nothing. What kind of business does this, especially when dealing with the disabled? It's just not right!! This is the first review I've ever wrote. at 42 years old that's impressive. five months ago my 13 year old son was paralyzed. living in Boston was hard for a few months and was difficult for everyone. when he was finally released from rehab there was a lot to do. I contacted national seating and mobility and are first they were great. came right out and measured and within a week the stair lift was installed. during installation there was some clearance issues that were overlooked and had to remove a small wall in order to install. 500 to rebuild wall and get a new door, oh well. within a week it died. came out a few days later and replaced battery. about a week later it not only wasn't working, but horrible smell coming from unit. unplugged it, they came out and noticed the circuit board had melted. a week later they replaced board. two days later, smell coming from unit. I unplugged it due to the fact it was heating up again and called to let them know I'm not comfortable with their top of the line stannah chair lift. I reminded them that the battery was completely charged and said they would send someone out to disconnect so board wouldn't continue to melt. No technician showed up. No phone call which was promised. been days since I've heard from company. can't be reached at concord, nh office despite voicemails and numerous calls. do not use this company. ha, a 42 year old combat veteran with back issues carrying his recently paralyzed 13 year old son up and down a flight of stairs. as if the physical and emotional stress of everyone involved wasn't enough, here's where I'm at. read more

Maybe it depends on the location, but I'm surprised this company is in business. Read ALL of the reviews before you use them, no matter what Kaiser tells you. Like another reviewer, I believe Kaiser gets a kickback to recommend them and both of them should be taken out back and beat til the white meat shows (thank you Bernie Mac). I don't think I would be as outraged if it were a different type of product, but this is for MOBILITY as in the name and they play games with people who rely on chairs in order to get around! NSM has had my daughters Permobil chair for 6 days now. It was supposed to be a simple fix. The tech thought the problem was either the charger or batteries. We have left messages and yet to have a response. This is not our first experience dealing with NSM. They have all been bad and it just keeps getting worse. It doesn't make sense. How is it I can take my truck in for a major service and get it back in a day or 2. when I call the dealer I get a immediate response. I was on hold for 35 minutes just today and got disconnected. NSM is in the type of business that supposed to be helping and assisting people in the disabled community No business should be run like they do let along one like NSM. I got my chair from NSM two years ago, and I've good experiences with them so far. They are very responsible, thoughtful, and careful. When I take my chair in for a fixup they sometimes find other issues and help me get all of them fixed. I've mainly been helped out by Jeff, friendly guy who is very knowledgeable about wheelchairs, but I've also been helped by other technicians once in a while when Jeff wasn't available and they all seem pretty competent. I also had to get an emergency repair down at another nsm down in San Diego and they were able to schedule me in for the first thing in the morning. Exceptionally harsh customer service. Mike is quite kind, but the business is incredibly money-hungry. I requested repairs but never received any. They won't assist me in repairing my bed and wheelchair that are broken. Since the first months that I've had them, two years ago, they've been faulty. They will not fix the dislocated valve on my air loss mattress, which is fully deflated in some of the air pockets. Once my new wheelchair order has been completed, I'm done with this business. This was a fantastic business when they genuinely cared about the patients' health. However, the past two years have been a complete failure. I do not at anyway suggest visiting this location. I w ill discuss with my doctor and medical board the idea of not recommending any other patients to this practice. My concerns will be acknowledged because not only do I work for the hospital but also a disabled employee. read more

If I could give a rating of less than zero, I would. My brother is in a wheelchair. It is a wheelchair that doesn't fold flat. If I could review the chair, I would give the same rating. However, since the chair was sold and serviced by NSM, I am rating their terrible service. He has one footrest that is attached. He has to put both feet on one footrest. The backrest won't stay on. He has to lean forward, even more forward than he does already. I called for service, weeks ago for the footrest. I had an appointment scheduled for Monday, the 14th. I called just now to add the repair for the now broken backrest. I was told, "Oh, by the way, the appointment you had for Monday is now cancelled..." Apparently their tech is out indefinitely . I asked what my brother was supposed to do. She said, bring it to their warehouse. The chair doesn't fold flat. I can't fit it in my small car. I'm at a loss as to how to help my brother. This place is a disgrace! I work for a senior day center and lots of my clients have equipment from them. First of all, to get a new prescription filled is impossible, and different representatives will tell you different lies about where you are in the process. One of my clients has been waiting for 6 months for a wheelchair and not another 9 months for a half-lap tray! Furthermore, we scheduled a tech to come out to fix her her wheelchair and he did not fix it, just wasted time. Please if you read this, do not go through them! You will be locked in to years of poor customer service from a company that doesn't give a damn about the vulnerable population they are supposed to be helping. read more

Our experience there so far has been completely amazing. We saw Keith who was a tremendous help on Wednesday, he helped us choose the most perfect wheelchair for my daughter's needs. A Tilite Aero Z! It has already been approved by insurance only two days later (we use Kaiser) and will be in production on Monday. I cried happy tears during our appointment. If you are a parent to a child who has a disability you know there are many hurdles in your life. He made the process enjoyable, stress free, and was just so knowledgeable about everything. He asked the right questions and answered all of mine with ease. This chair will grant my daughter the independence she needs. He has also kept us apprised to the entire process. I called to let them know that my husband was accidentally paralyzed by a hospital, on hospice, and that we bought a used Ki Catalyst wheechair. I asked if there was someone there who could help with the set up and look over the chair (I would pay) and the women rep that I talked with gave an excuse of "we only set up chairs we sell". I was bringing it in to see if it is safe, set up, and if the wheelchair is SAFE. I thought people in this industry strive to help others, and are not JUST money motivated, but want to help others under these dire circumstances. This is obviously not the case of AccessNSM! Valley Medical Center must get a kick back since I am guessing thats where most of their business comes from and despite many many complaints from patients about this company, Valley Medical continues to lead people to use them. Families in this situation don't know any better. They don't know what they are getting themselves into. Shame on both of them. As they are in the business of supplying medical needs to families that are going through enough as it is. I waited for months on some necessary medical items for my child only to be told they were waiting for authorization from a doctor I had never heard of. (They had wrong information) I had to call them 5 times to find out they had gotten no where with my order. In addition my child's wheel chair was never fixed properly after mulitiple attempts and 6 months of waiting..... until I learned I could go elsewhere. I believe they take advantage of the disadvantaged. They not only don't follow through with ANYTHING they don't stand by their work, they don't return calls and due to lack of organization they delay families getting the items they need by procrastinating and/or just losing information altogether. I am not the only person I know that has had these nightmares. Literally their loved one who was a very high level patient was forced to go home from Valley Med only to go home to no equipment to function with. I have never felt so strong about two organizations than I do about these two. I pray that people check out National Seating and Mobility before they get stuck with them. Go TO ATG!!! They have had to come out THREE times in TWO years and it always takes them WEEKS to order parts or get a tech out to our site access the problem. The chair is so badly made that we're not even able to use it while we wait and wait for them to come.
