Both have been supportive, knowledgeable, and clearly care about student growth. I truly appreciate the instruction and guidance I received from them throughout the program. They have both helped me in furthering my education and focusing on my career. With that being said, I did experience some challenges with communication along the way with the overall school itself. There were times when I reached out with issue or concern and it would either take weeks or I didn't receive a response at all, when certain things were discussed or promised and I felt they weren't fully followed through. This made parts of the process more stressful than they needed to be, especially in a program that already requires a lot of dedication and effort. This is not an easy program, and it's important to understand that you have to be determined and willing to put in the work. This is not something that's handed to you--you truly have to earn it. However, I will say that if you remain persistent and advocate for yourself, the school does make efforts to support you and follow through. Overall, while there is room for improvement in communication, the quality of education and the commitment of key staff members made the experience worthwhile for me and I know this schooling experience will stay with me the rest of my life

They also question why I'm in the office like I'm some vagrant and really I'm just scanning brochures for courses they offer plus what days or months classes will start. The office workers and even few teachers feel like they are exasperated by my questions and not able to catch onto things quickly to the point it really disheartens me to even start school again.

She spent a lot of time at both our appointments. It's so nice to have a Cerro Coso campus in Tehachapi. Before they came here I think the nearest one was Ridgecrest. It is located where Monroe used to be. I can't really say much about the campus, both my husband and daughter are doing online classes. My husband is taking a math class and he had to take his test at the campus for the first time this week. Seems like everything went well with that. So far it's been a good experience.

For a year, their teachers highly recommended Door of Hope, but I was skeptical and I really didn't want to adjust my schedule. As time went on, they were failing. I thought I could do my own research and teach them myself, but that never happened. At the beginning of this year, I decided that I had no choice. In order for my sons to succeed and improve their self confidence, I had to give Door of Hope a try. Thank God we did. Within a few months, their reading level increased by grade levels. It was a bit ridiculous, otherwise the only complaints are scheduling and professionalism. When I attended schedules weren't set until a week before hand and it always felt like the school was scrambling for somewhere to put us. Professionalism wasn't so much the school's fault as it was other students, it felt like high school all over again except these kids were half a decade my senior and allowed sharp objects on school grounds. It's not a very difficult program which was a bit disappointing, some teachers just didn't care if you put effort into clinicals or not and the ones who did were often bad mouthed by a few of my peers who didn't want to make the effort. All in all, 7/10. Maybe don't go into a nursing program if you don't care about the wellbeing of others or the quality of your work.
