Unfortunately the windshield of my new Volkswagen was hit by a rock and cracked…read more I called my Dealership Kuhn Volkswagen, Tampa and spoke to Earl, the gentleman who recently serviced my car. I asked if they do replacement windshields. Earl was extremely helpful and said they use Performance Glass and Tint. He said if I give him all my information he will set it up. He told me that Performance Glass and Tint will order the new windshield and come directly to my house to install it. My husband spoke to Andrea At Performance Glass and Tint and she explained that after my insurance approved the windshield she would order it. She also explained that after the window is installed another tech would come to recalibrate the safety features into the windshield. This morning at 8:15 AM Christopher arrived with the new windshield. He was fast and efficient. He explained everything to my husband and informed him that someone else would be by to do the recalibration of the safety features. Christopher explained to my husband that we shouldn't use the car for 1 hour. My husband explained to Christopher that on a previous car we had a cracked windshield and we called a competitor windshield company. They were going to replace it with a generic brand. Christopher informed my husband that this windshield was a "Volkswagen windshield" and not something generic!! At 10:20 am the tech arrived to reinstall the safety features. I highly recommend Performance Glass and Tint. They are professional and the entire process was efficient and easy!

We had to wait a few days for VW parts to arrive. Christopher showed up early. Got right to work. Shortly after, two helpers showed up. It took 45 minutes to replace the windshield. He explained everything he did. He said another tech will be here later today to re-calibrate the safety features that run off the rear view mirror. After the windshield set I have driven the car and windshield appears solid. So far i'm very happy with their service.

Until lo and behold he got it working again! I was so happy, because I carry the kids in this car and we need to be able to use the seat belts. Then I turned around and asked him how much do I owe you? He said nothing! Who gives a service nowadays and not charge you? Therefore, I would like to recommend their services to you. My experience with Douglas Collision Center was extremely disappointing and raised serious concerns…read moreabout workmanship, honesty, and customer treatment. I brought my daughter's vehicle in after a rear-end accident. When I returned for the first pickup on November 12th, I discovered new damage on the car that was not present at drop-off, which I documented with timestamped photos. When I pointed this out, the manager (Tim) initially denied it until the photos were shown. During that same first pickup, I identified multiple paint defects on the bumper. Instead of addressing them, Tim became combative and stated that I was the one who had damaged the bumper--something that was not true and did not match the condition of the car shown in my photos from drop-off. This was extremely concerning and added to the growing trust issues I was experiencing. I later withdrew repair authorization due to the new damage and the accusation, but the shop continued working on the vehicle anyway. During the second pickup attempt, the situation escalated. My daughter and wife were inspecting the car when additional issues were found, including paint defects, misalignment, and a missing underbody cover plate that had not been reinstalled. Despite these issues, we were told to take the car as-is. A staff member then made a false accusation that my minor daughter had chipped paint from the bumper--something disproven by timestamped photos and video taken before the vehicle was touched. The interaction also included hostile comments, which were captured on video. The next day, we took the vehicle to Maurice's Auto Body, who documented and confirmed every defect, including the missing underbody panel and the new damage created at Douglas. They completed the repairs properly, and Douglas ultimately paid them for part of the corrective work. My experience reflected: * new damage created during the repair process, * refusal to correct visible defects, * an accusation that I damaged the bumper during the first pickup, * unauthorized continuation of repairs after I withdrew approval, * false accusations toward both me and my daughter, * and unprofessional, hostile conduct. Based on what we documented and what an independent shop confirmed, I cannot recommend Douglas Collision Center.

Absolutely terrible experience with Mi Pana Window Tinting…read more These guys were referred to me by Top Dog Mobile Detailing South, so I expected professional work and good customer service. Unfortunately, the quality of the work was shockingly bad and completely amateur. Immediately after the windshield tint was installed, there were two large bubbles in the film. They returned the same day to fix those bubbles, but that was only the beginning of the problems. Afterward, I noticed severe visual distortions throughout the windshield tint, distortion on the front passenger window, and even a small scratch on the windshield itself. The windshield became distracting and uncomfortable to look through while driving. The overall tint job looked rushed and unprofessional. I have had multiple vehicles tinted and ceramic coated over the years, and this was by far the worst money I have ever spent on any tinting or ceramic coating service. The workmanship was nowhere near professional quality. The windshield tint especially looked like an amateur installation rather than work done by an experienced company. When I contacted them about the distortions, I was told they would "go away in about a week" and that I should not park the car in the sun for at least four hours after installation. Nearly a week later, the distortions were still there, so I reached out again. Instead of taking responsibility, I was brushed off and told they had other appointments and would "get to it when they can." The following day I asked for an actual timeframe so I could make myself available, and without any notice they suddenly texted saying they were already a few minutes away from my house. I was over two hours away at work because no appointment or time had ever been scheduled. At that point the owner completely changed his attitude and started blaming me for their defective work. He falsely claimed I caused the problem by moving the vehicle too early and not following instructions. That is completely false, and I have video footage proving the car was never moved during the required period. Instead of standing behind their work, they chose to lie, deflect blame, and argue with the customer. To make matters worse, they then told me to personally remove all of the windshield tint myself, record a video of it, and only then would they consider giving me a refund. That is one of the most unprofessional responses I have ever received from a business. Mistakes can happen with any tint job. What matters is how a company handles those mistakes. Mi Pana Window Tinting showed poor workmanship, amateur installation quality, zero accountability, dishonesty, and extremely unprofessional customer service. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company if you value your vehicle or expect professional-quality work.

When other mechanics said no to my 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner, Todd and his crew said no problem!…read moreSince he was busy, he told me to bring it in June and when the date came Todd said, "You're on time, bring it in." I knew the car had some issues but after it was gone through with a fine tooth comb, my ride felt better than a brand new car. The entire suspension and braking system was totally replaced along with the steering gear box, which was unbelievably repaired! Other mechanics wanted to install a new one, since it was easier than repairing the original. The nice thing about this shop is all of the technicians go above and beyond to help save the customer money and if it can be repaired they will go the extra mile and do it better than any replacement part out there. Aside from the suspension and brakes the carburetor was replaced along with the manifold. The last big ticket item to be replaced was the radiator. When I had my car towed to Auto Air & Audio it could not even start. After the engine revved a few times it would finally start but the entire car shook like a washing machine on overload! Once everything was set in place and the engine tuned, it now drives better than my Mercedes S-550. Thanks to Todd and his crew they were able to do what others could not! THANK YOU ONE AND ALL! You are truly outstanding automotive technicians! I highly recommend them to anyone with a classic car out there, your classic car and your wallet will both thank you!
