Not only was the room the cutest, it was also CLEAN!! There were snacks, water, tea, and brochures for local sights along with coupons. woohoo! Check in and out was super simple. I received an email a few days later from management asking if I left a TN waterfall book. Yep, it was me. They mailed it to me free of charge!! I highly recommend and will be staying again myself.

I was there over the Fourth of July weekend and out of 10 rooms, there were only 2 others that had occupants for one night each. So if you see it says "this is the last queen room!" That is probably not true. The old check in building has been turned into a community space with a small area to pay for snacks and souvenirs. It is not walkable (not great sidewalks) but easy to drive to places that are. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable and the AC worked well. We appreciated having spectrum television as an option. Also pet friendly for a fee, however there isn't great grass or walking areas around the motel for a pet. Finally I would recommend they add an ice machine or ice cube trays to the rooms. It's in a great location, each to get around and plenty of parking. For a few days, it's perfect!

This is a very new addition to Blowing Rock, built in 2024. And it shows, the place is spotless, modern and bright. The lobby has an amazing lounge and bar area with a full service fine dining style restaurant. Everything about is sleek and modern. We enjoyed an amazing evening at the bar and restaurant (separate review). Our room was immaculate, and again a very modern and sleek style. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, not a single complaint about the room or the cleanliness. And the views facing downtown Blowing Rock from the patio with the mountains in the background was superb. We enjoyed morning coffees and afternoon happy hours on this comfy patio overlooking the heart of Main St in downtown Blowing Rock. A pleasant surprise was the continental style breakfast which is included with the stay. A kicked up version with better food from what you'd expect at a Hampton Inn or comparable hotel. Highly recommend for a great stay in the heart of Blowing Rock!

Room rates clearly reflect the premium location, but are not as bad as you might expect. But there is also the less good news: the rooms (judging by our "standard king") are smallish (not European hotel small, but getting close...), and a bit inconvenient (our closet was awkward to get into). Ice can only be sourced from the front desk and the bar/dining area can be noisy. And as for noise, there were hotel mechanicals (we were told it was an exhaust fan from the kitchen 3 stories below) clearly and somewhat unpleasantly audible in our room. We were told that this was being worked on, but it seems to me that The Embers has been open long enough to have had this resolved by now. So net...a very good and convenient place stay, but don't expect it to be without some minor annoyances.

I would define it as "Sophisticated Simplicity". I was staying here for a personal getaway and was assigned to a beautiful room with a separate sitting room, a gorgeous bathroom, and a zen bedroom. The decor was lovely, stylish and tasteful. The staff was professional and helpful. It was quiet and relaxing and only a short walk away from the town center, perfect location! There is a pretty little creek that winds along the back garden area, I really enjoyed sitting out and watching the ducks. I am torn between keeping this little gem all to myself, and sharing its amazingness with the world! I can't wait to come back.

The rooms are generally comfortable, though might be missing an amenity or two. Rooms have Keurigs, for example, but don't include microwaves. The pillows aren't great either. That said, any issues are very minimal. The Azalea Garden Inn is a truly lovely place to stay - so if you're looking for something comforting and rustic? Don't miss out on this gem.

Literally parked the car and walked everywhere we went in Blowing Rock for meals and shopping. With parking spaces at a premium in this small popular mountain town the location is a huge selling point. As for the motel itself, as mentioned it is retro with a rustic roadside 1960s feel. That doesn't bother me and in fact I rather like it for mountain destinations. The furnishing and bedding is fine: the carpet however is worn out and stained and probably has a lot to do with the unpleasant dank smell of the room. There is a Keurig and small fridge but no microwave. TV service is only the 3 basic national channels and maybe 4 other lesser stations. WiFi signal was fine. Walls are thin. The hot water shows up but only after a long time of waiting for it. The bathroom itself is more updated with newer tile and fixtures.

No room left at the Inn and no power, but pops was so kind to let us use the facilities and share pillows and blankets and feel safe sleeping in the truck in the parking lot overnight. Not much has changed in 40 years - the Blowing Rock Inn's rooms are very clean, simply appointed, and at a great price. Internet is included and worked well. Staff changed the towels each day without having to be asked - a service I miss since Covid. Comfy bed. Keurig works fine. Friendly staff. Love the screen doors on the rooms - nice to see outside. We will come back again for sure!!

This house was so beautiful and short distance to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk. We both loved the atmosphere of this inn. It was very clean with very nice décor. We purchased the breakfast part and we had delicious breakfast multiple days. I had shirred eggs for the first time and it was probably one of my favorite breakfast I have ever had. The parfaits were also top notch and I been making them at home since! We also purchased the sauna session which was a nice to have after our days of walking and hiking. Recommend for anyone who is wanting to get away and enjoy a great relaxing vacation. I feel the inn would be perfect for a family reunion, bachelorette weekend, or group retreat since there are multiple rooms with really nice common areas.
