Hi! my name is ES and I'm a Native-aholic. Proud Native lover here! I've been a devotee of this adorable shop (and its second location on Franklin Village) for 17 years! Michelle, the keener, is an absolute delight AND an expert merchandiser & accessorizer. Whether I need a date night outfit, full new wardrobe, or even the BEST gifts for hard to buy friends, Michelle has something for everyone! There have even been times when I go in feeling frumpy and she'll start to wave her magic wand and suddenly I look and FEEL cute! and OOPS I charged it all on my visa. My latest splurge is was when she had her jewelry sale with the designer in the store. The designer custom fit my necklace and now it's my favorite piece and I wear it 24/4. And the best part is that it's all really affordable fashion but NOT fast & cheap fashion! There IS a distinction! I can't sing Michelle or this shops praises any better, you'll just have to pop in and tell her ES sent ya!

I am a thrift store secondhand shopper with one exception: Native Boutique! Ever since the shop moved into the neighborhood I have been a fan. Their clothing is always beautiful, artful and unique. Their jewelry and various accessories support independent artists and vendors. A favorite item for me is a line of specialty journals. I've gotten to know the owner, Michelle, from being a return costumer, and she's always friendly and helpful. Finally, their sales are great, always the discount rack outside!

I love this place! Not only do they always have some clothes on sale (hello ever present 20$ rack on the sidewalk), they have a great selection of adorable clothes. I love every thing I've gotten from here and I can't stay away for more than a couple weeks just to see what's come in (or what's gone on sale). The sales people are always helpful and friendly, and they even offer water, wine, or tea while you shop! It's my new favorite boutique and the prices are great. I love finding funky things that not everyone else has. I've also gotten a couple pieces of unique jewelry that I love from here. Can't say enough good things about this place! read more

I work in the neighborhood and had the good fortune of stumbling across this shop. They have really unique garments at reasonable prices. They also have frequent sales. Judi works there and is an amazing sales person! She remembers what I bought and is able to suggest different ways to wear the styles. She has a good eye for pairing items together too. Native Boutique is my go-to shop in Eagle Rock! Whenever I need a dress for a fancy occasion or a cute top and skirt combo for the day-to-day life, I am always count on Native Boutique to have the cutest, comfiest, and most stylish pieces. The entire staff is friendly and willing to help mix and match pieces until you find the perfect outfit. Today, Judy, helped me step out of my comfort zone and picked out the best pieces (a stylish maxi, an off-the shoulder polka dot top, and a pretty kimono) to add to my summer wardrobe! My favorite boutique in Eagle Rock. I can't begin to describe how much I love this store. The first time I visited Native was during winter 2015. Recently moving from Austin, I was craving a boutique to call my own. I was immediately greeted by Hannah (which by the way is amazing) and asked if there was any special occasion that brought me into the store. At the time I was looking for a dress to wear to a Christmas party and she spent no time pulling out outfits that she felt fit the occasion. The service that Hannah gave me was top notch. She gave an honest opinion on each outfit and even showed me how to accessorize the dresses. We pretty much became best friends. I spent nearly an hour in the store and walked away with two dresses. Now whenever I need a new outfit Native is my go-to spot. read more

I popped into this lovely boutique today and was pleasantly surprised. It was full of high end unique pieces and very friendly staff. I was unsure about whether or not to buy anything, but was shown options for how to wear some of the pieces. I ended up with a beautiful dress and matching belt. Very pretty clothing at good prices. They have a fantastic sales rack and promotions to save you even more money. After stopping in on a lark after passing their curbside sales rack, I walked out with two lovely dresses for an upcoming wedding weekend for under $60. The clothes are all really cute and well priced, and anything I have ever gotten there gets me loads of compliments. But what really sets this place apart is the staff. In a city full of eye-rolling, disinterested or snobby sales stuff, this place shines for making you feel really at home and making shopping actually fun. Judith and Hannah were so genuinely enthusiastic about the clothes... and about giving me inspiration for complete outfits. As someone who finds accessorizing a little baffling, it was very helpful to get inspiration from these ladies on belts, jackets and jewelry, and I got a couple such things that will go with almost all the looks I purchased today-- which has tremendous value. Judith pulled items I might not have noticed on my own, but I ended up loving them, opening my eyes to what could look good on me. There were a number of true kindnesses shown me today through excellent customer service and genuine friendliness, and I really appreciate that. There are fewer and fewer stores like this left... It's seems like all boring, impersonal chains or mega-expensive 3rd St boutiques and not much in between. I hope all you Yelpers support Native! It's the shopping sweet spot. read more

We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that.When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.

This store is a place I keep coming back to. The owner and her employees are super sweet and friendly and know when to let you browse. The pieces are very affordable and still are good quality. I've been going since they opened and the clothes I purchased a few years ago still hold up and are still fashionable! A funny story: I was recently at a posh Hollywood shin dig complete with paparazzi--I was just an onlooker on the side line of all the glitz and glam but wearing one of my Native favorites when one of the young starlets being photographed kindly walked up to me in her very upscale designer dress and remarked that she dug my outfit and wanted to know who the designer was!!! We visited Native Boutique as part of a Dream Factory trip for our daughter and what a thrill! They have such a variety that ranges from casual to dressy! Michelle, the owner of the shop, allowed our daughter to shop freely and paid for her entire outfit including all accessories, as well as a necklace for our other daughter! Judy greeted us and welcomed us in! She was fantastic! She was very patient and helped our daughter pick a super cute dress, as well as a belt and jewelry to wear! She showed her all the different ways she could wear each piece. When our daughter's face lit up, it was priceless! Treehaus, on the other hand, had a ton of pieces that I've never seen before, either in Los Angeles or elsewhere. This shop carries a couple lines of interesting jewelry collections (I particularly liked the more industrial/brutalist of them), a range of adult and baby clothes and an interesting and eclectic line of eye wear. While the adult clothing skews toward femme, I would describe many of them as unisex, which fits the cool queer/feminist vibe of the shop. There were a lot of cool housewares that, again, I've never seen before. These range from the practical (metal soap dishes) to the purely aesthetic (fun art prints of famous spots in LA.) Lots of retro designs can be found to decorate your living space. Other things I really enjoyed: a human bone and organ ink stamp collection, fun notebooks and adorable stuffed animals. And of course, they had a great collection of books and cards. Prices were on par for quality. It's very middle of the road for a gift shop or boutique. The clerks on duty were friendly and personable. I would definitely have felt comfortable going to them with questions. I will definitely return the next time I'm shopping for a friend.
