Interior ambience was cheerful and welcoming, and service was great. I was so happy with my purchases---great finds, excellent value. Highly recommended, and I am looking forward to going back again. The shop provides a community space where local artist can showcase their work, so you'll also find handmade candles, soaps, essential oils, creams, and even little plants from local independent crafters. I stop in occasionally to see what is new or pick up unique gifts for friends. A while back, I purchased a photo of taken by Danell of the Highland Park Theatre snapped from the alley across the street that is now the patio for HomeState. My brother and I used to go to that theatre when we were kids. I recently came here for the Toast of the Souls event in honor of Dia de Los Muertos. Noelle designed a beautiful alter to honor loved ones. There was a DJ and reps from Hornitos Tequila serving up complimentary cocktails for patrons to enjoy while they shopped. I enjoyed conversing with Noelle & Danell and the locals who lived nearby. I also purchased some holiday gifts.

In over 20 years of living in LA, CLOVER is of on only a handful of local stores I shop at. EVERY single time I need anything, I know I can go to Nicole, and she will supply. Her eye understands what everyone wants. I have a hard time trusting, Nicole has never not neglected me or my difficult beloved's. I got them in the mail, along with a free tube of lipstick with--complete genius--a built-in mirror (how does every lipstick not have this)! Then I tried to get the pants on and found I couldn't get them past the top of my thighs. I was a bit devastated as I have been pretty frugal lately and was looking forward to buying my first piece of clothing in quite a while. The pants had been marked final sale on Garmentory, but in total desperation I phoned the store. Andie answered and instead of the let-down I was expecting, she patiently explained that the style is pretty tight at the top and I should try to work with them, but that in the mean time she would ship another pair of pants in the next size up and I could keep whichever fit better! I was so relieved and so grateful! While waiting for the other pair, I tried to get into the first pair I had ordered again, and with some help from some tights, I got them on. I realized she was totally right, and that they would probably keep getting a little easier to put on after that and that I did indeed have the correct size as the top fit perfectly once they were on. Overall, Andie just went above and beyond making sure that I was happy with the pants, and was so patient and kind, even when the first replacement pair got lost in the mail. She seems like a truly sweet person and I hope I can support her store more in the future.
