Braiders have gotten so lazy. I just went to Natou's shop to get my hair done in Pixie braids. The first words the lady said when I showed her the pic was "Oh to small". Without even touching my hair, she said your hair too short. She didn't offer me any alternatives or anything, just no. If you are not getting box braids or cornrows, something that can be done fast, this shop will not want to do your hair. I went straight to Rally's and asked if my hair to short for pixie's. She said no, it's really good but bomb braids would be better for your hair. After I looked at the pics of bomb braids, I went with her recommendation. That's how you run a business. read more

Okay so I went back and forth on whether I should give this place 3 or 4 stars. So Ill give you the details and let you decide. Pros: -Very clean shop -Their speak good English, so communicating with them is easy -They are professional -They are precise, they make sure that you like your hair! Cons: I went on a Saturday morning 8:00 I had an appointment. They had 4 scheduled appointments that morning and there are four stylists. But here is the problem, 3 of them showed up late!!! My stylist was 30 mins late and the other 2 were an hour late! So this is the reason I'm back and forth on my decision. I'm not a fan of lateness!!!! especially when it comes to $200 and my hair!! Now that's a serious subject lol!!! So... Why I chose 4 stars instead of 3???? BECAUSE I LOVE MY HAIR!!!!!! Amazing job, sure it took a while, but quality takes time and patience, and it was well worth it!!! read more

I cut my hair and hated that decision. I started getting my hair braided in 2010 and I still go there to get my hair braided in 2017. I only let the owner, Natou, do my hair because her skills are the best. Every other brwider in the shop is good, but Natou has my heart. She is so sweet and makes sure everything is ok while braiding. read more

Just got the Alicia Keys inspired braids. The parts are SUPER clean & the braids are tight & neat. At first I wasn't sure if anyone was going to be able to give m the look I was going for but the young lady who braided my hair NAILED IT. This hairstyle took about 3.3hrs to do but it was worth it . I been going here for Five YEARS and this one time I needed something done to my hair nobody knew how to do anything or at least do it right I spent 5 hours in there for a 3 hour hair style ... I'm giving them 1 star mainly because I do like how my hair turned out. However, I did pay $210 for my braids so it better look nice for that kind of money. I was there on 02/27 at 8 am. Natou is the one that braided my hair. We started off pretty good, but as the day went on she became more agitated as the hours rolled by. First of all she was late and she came rolling up in there all red eyed because it was her birthday weekend. I guess she didn't much sleep because she was being super petty and super rude. She asked me did I just perm my hair, I'm like no. She insisted that I must have because my hair is "too silky"! What??!! I've seen some silky hair, and my hair ain't silky. Smh! Then she kept getting on my case for crossing my legs! Anybody that has gotten braids know that sitting for that amount of time is very uncomfortable. But I know it's much worse for the stylist. So I'm trying to do what they lady says, even if I'm uncomfortable. So the whole time she is doing my hair she is complaining like she is doing it for free. She's getting a bunch of calls on her cellphone and grabbing my head any kind of way so she can be comfortable while she's chatting on the phone. It was just a mess. I've been to this shop before and the service was never this bad. I really don't expect much from these braiding salons. You pay $100 plus and get mediocre service at best. It's a shame, but that's how it is in most of these braiding salons. But what really got me Hot was this business owner acting like I was inconveniencing her! Natou will never get another dime of my money. And because she acted such an ugly hot mess, no one else in that shop will get my money. I know she won't miss or need my money and that's fine with me. I'm sick of parting with my money to get crappy service. It's plenty braiding salons in this area....I know there are some where the people (especially the owner) is at least decent. Getting your hair braided is not cheap, but the service that I got in this salon is. read more
