This place is the best for Indian food. Food was delicious. I had tandoori chicken, seasoned and Dal Tadka was served with warming tray to keep it hot. I also ordered Roti, garlic nan and mango lassi which tasted just right. My husband asked them to make the food light on salt and oil on the Dal and it was perfect. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to try Indian food. Staff was pleasant, attentive and they provided excellent service. Very impressed with the large portions of food and colorful. Some of the best Indian food we have had in our travels. And if you are smart(we were not) you will split something. Plenty of food for 2 on almost all the dishes. We wasted a lot of food since we were leaving the next day. The butter chicken was delightful. What magnificent flavor. It was not yellow like I expected. Red with a yellowish streak through it. But did not matter. So tasty and really a great value. This is my daughter's favorite restaurant in Lisbon and for good reason. We will stop by when we go back to this country. read more

Came here for my sisters birthday dinner. Extremely impressed with the speed of service, and flavors of the food. We ordered 2 orders of the garlic naan, 2 portions of rice, butter chicken, and chicken tikka masala. Server was attentive but gave us our space. The garlic naan was flavorful and fluffy. When the chicken was served, it was served with a heater underneath and this kept our food warm the entire time we ate our meal! Very impressed by this and the portions. Went for New Year's eve dinner. Although space was a little cramped, the service was friendly and accommodating to all requests. The chili chicken, aloo gobi, and karahi paneer were very good. We are in Lisbon for 5 days. We were recommended this spot by our hotel. Wow! This place is amazing! The staff/service is efficient and amazing. The food was probably one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to. We came with our 1 1/2 year old son and they were extremely accommodating. We came here to eat dinner TWICE! Some of the best Indian food we've come across in our travels. Authentic Punjabi taste, friendly service. We loved the Garlic Prawns, Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer. Garlic Naan was yummy! Close to my hotel where I arrived at 20:00hrs, this cute little Indian tandoori restaurant is opened on Sunday night. Run by an even cute couple of little hipster Portuguese guys. I mean they are short! The ceiling is painted sky blue and the walls kind of orange. Indian style pictures and reliefs and multi colored lamps make you feel all Bollywood. I love it. The waiter typed in the password with like 20 characters for the wifi in my phone. So sweet! I'm a sucker for Indian curry's so I took a traditional goa fish curry with cumin peas rice. For drinks I got the traditional mango yoghurt drink. And a simple cucumber salad. Loved all of it! I have one week in Lisbon but this is a great place to eat while heading back for my hotel. In an old part of Lisbon, quiet tables are nestled between pre-earthquake remanents (archways inside) an unassuming ambiance comes to life through the flavors of the food. Good food garbage service. The servers were not attentive to us and did not check up on our table, but did visit other tables. It was a stark contrast in how they were serving locals versus a customer of Indian decent. For example, we didn't receive any complimentary snacks (papadam) that was given to other customers. This is a standard for most Indian restaurants and we were ignored. I've never felt so uncomfortable being of Indian heritage in an "Indian restaurant." Please do better and respect all of your customers. Food wise - the curries were flavorful. The chai was okay, I've had better "cha" in Lisbon cafes. Appetizers are a good portion. read more

Being vegetarian, we are always glad to find indian restaurants when we travel. This restaurant did not disappoint us at all. We started with vegetable pakora, then had Tarka dal and paneer jalfrezi for main entrees. In breads we ordered parantha and garlic naan. We ended with gulab jamun for dessert and the dishwasher didn't have to do much by the time we were done. read more

We sensed Indian food would be good here because our airport transfer driver said there was a large Indian population, and this place was outstanding, some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Better than anything back home in the States for sure. I started with a perfectly crisp samosa with tamarind sauce. The potato and pea mixture with spiced just right, and surprise, there was corn in it as well! The main course was even better. The chicken tikka masala was PERFECT. Yes, I mean perfect. It was a delightful balance of spicy, sweet, and creamy. It was so good I used my garlic naan to sop it up (i usually love to eat my naan plain). By the way, the garlic naan was a perfect blend of crisp, soft, and garlic. And as if this all was not enough, the guys who waited on us were extremely kind and attentive, and the atmosphere is very inviting (see previous review from another Yelper about its Bollywood feel). Long story short, if you aren't feeling Portuguese food one night, highly reccomend this place, only a few blocks from Rossio or Comercio. read more

Food was good the rating is for service. I came here thinking i can speak Hindi to the waiter because i don't speak Portuguese. Happy that the waiter understood Hindi but i think he didn't like that i did because i had to keep getting his attention when i needed something. He treated people that spoke Portuguese much better. It was good. Service was attentive. We were tiring of Portugese food, so to "the beat Indian food in the world" as per the flyer being handed outside of the restaurant. My wife and son had chicken (korma & curry, respectively) I had vegetable paneer. All were very good. In fact, I think this has been the best meal we have had in Portugal so far. As a vegetarian family, it was hard to find food near our hotel when visiting Lisbon. When we came across Natraj Tandoori, we had to give it a try because we were missing home cooked Indian meals. This place went above and beyond our expectations! We walked in, starving, and ordered within five minutes. Of course, we ordered way too much food, but as the steaming hot plates came out of the kitchen, we dug right in. We must have ordered every vegetarian item on the menu, and it really hit the spot. Our waiter was kind and helpful, and brought our food and drinks extremely fast. The best part of the entire experience was the garlic naan, which was the most delicious thing we ordered! Because we ordered so much, we expected to have tons of leftovers. But, by the end we had finished and cleaned off every plate. I highly recommend this place, and I wish we learned about it before the end of our trip!! read more
