Even though I ended up finding The Dress at another shop, my amazing experience at Natty Bella brought me back to do my alterations with them. Not only did she not bat an eye at my wild alteration ideas, she made wonderful suggestions and took her time to pin everything to allow me to get a better idea of how it would look. Working with Tina from Natty Bella was one of the best experiences I had while wedding planning! I came to her with a dress from another shop and needed a detailed modesty piece. She listened to my concerns so patiently and made me feel seen and important. From my previous experience with another alterations team, I felt that there was no good solution to my problem. I worried that I would end up being disappointed with the neckline. Tina astonished me. She resurrected my hopes and was a joy to work with. Each time I went in for an appointment she made me feel like a princess. She let me be particular about the *exact* placement and shape of my modesty piece. What was so refreshing is how creative and experienced she was with building a dress's shape. I did not have to do the work of finding out what I wanted -- she showed me what could be done and gave me more several options. So what did she do? She took a plunging V neck and transformed it into a sweetheart neckline. She used the fabric from my hem to make it match and added matching lace and beadings. Now that it's done you cannot even tell that it has been added. The shape is so much sweeter than the original design. Never -- while researching modesty pieces -- did I see an example that looked as seamless as what she did. On top of that, she did some quick fixes where the the dress had been snagged. She helped me brainstorm how to keep my long train off the ground and gave me finger loops for dancing. What really struck me about Tina was her professionalism. She never once put down the other alteration team, even though I was disappointed with their options. She has trained seamstresses in the past and knows the industry well. The boutique was beautiful and well organized. Mariel was a wonderful consultant who immediately understood what I was looking for when I showed her some inspo photos. I could not have even DREAMED of a better dress shopping experience than I had with Natty Bella Bridal. I had my first ever bridal consultation with Evelyn and she made me feel so safe, comfortable, and cared for each step of the way as I was unsure of styles I wanted to try. Skip the big pricey dress stores and David's bridal!! this place is a one stop shop!!!! First of all, I wanted to start by saying out of all the dress stores I tried on wedding dresses at...this little shop had by far the most VIP treatment!! They had the full circle of mirrors, a private lounge area, totally low key and tons of dresses to choose from in all different sizes! The whole time I was there we had the whole shop to ourselves- and we were there on a weekend!! The little "I said yes to the dress" sign was so adorable and they even had a tiny bouquet. Tina, who does all the alterations, is always there in the shop and she can give you quotes and answer any questions right away! They are very flexible and want to make any dress look exactly the way you want it! Yessmin was an amazing help! She is so knowledgeable in wedding design, styles, accessories and really knows how to make you feel confident in whatever dress your putting on. I recommend checking it out with your bridesmaids, they have tons of dresses for them to try on as well! I'm writing this review as my alterations continue to progress. I can't wait to share my experience with Natty Bella. Back during Covid, I drove from Long Beach to Oceanside to seek out a Randy Fanoli dress. I had some major dress confusion, which is typical for us brides. As I went out shopping to see other dresses I was pressured into buying dress from another bridal salon. My dress regret is REAL YALL!!!! With my dress regret I called Tina to see if she could alter this dress. With the delight in her voice she welcomed me back for alterations. I'm a curvy girl, alterations can be difficult for me. I've been back 3 times for measurements since I've been doing body conturing, and adding more of a challenge for Tina! Next Monday I will return to pick up my dress that I finally love! If I could give more than 5 stars for Natty Bella, I would! We had a wonderful experience here with Tina and Jasmine! My daughter found HER dress with their marvelous assistance. Don't be fooled by the location or the first impression of the storefront. The inside was lovely! They know what they are doing here! Tina has spent over 35 years altering and custom-designing wedding gowns. At the urging of clients, she opened her own store. One of the many wonderful things about our experience was the way they helped you see how you would truly look in the right size and the right color. It can be very difficult to picture yourself in a gown which is covered in big clips or hangs or gapes in places. At other shops, you get a vague idea what the back of too-big dress looks like, but here, after pinning the back so you could see the front just right, they then pinned the front so you could see the actual back just right too. Tina mostly used pins, not clips, to adjust the size and had inserts for changing the color to your preferred one. My daughter can see herself at her wedding because of the way they worked the details. Because she does alterations, Tina can do anything to make the dress more suitable for your style. She was super accommodating to our schedule and there was no pressure to buy immediately which was wonderful since my daughter wanted her Matron of Honor to also come and confirm what I already knew (she had found HER dress). Because the wedding is 4 months away, Tina worked between our visits to make sure that the designer would have the dress in plenty of time. She even helped to get the price closer to my daughter's budget, which was such a blessing. Once you commit to a dress, they even have an added drawing for an extra discount! After we were all done, they opened a bottle of champagne so we could toast our success; and, since my daughter doesn't drink, they even had an apple juice for her champagne glass! Jasmine is so sweet and encouraging and really knows what she is doing and Tina is very talented and nurturing in a way that will assure you that your dress will be everything you dreamed of!! Out of all the bridal shops I went to, Natty Bella had absolutely the best service, and that actually swayed my opinion to want to purchase my dress from them. Every other boutique I went to, I felt like I was being rushed, or they didn't know much about the dresses, while Jasmine at Natty Bella had so much helpful advice, knew so much about the dresses and the proper fit, helped pair head pieces and jewelry, and gave her honest professional opinion while also respecting my opinion and those of my guests. You can tell both Tina, who does the alterations, and Jasmine love their jobs and their work. They don't treat you like a business deal; they honestly want you to be happy and feel 100% sure you love the dress you choose. I never felt pressured to pick a dress or pressured to buy one from them. I felt like they really cared about what I wanted and that my happiness was their priority. They also never rush you- they set their appointments for 2 hours (versus the 1 hour at all the other places), and are so patient when you want to retry on multiple dresses to get another look. They are also super accommodating. They are only open by appointment, but when I called in the morning to ask if I could come in to try on the dresses one more time to make a decision, Jasmine offered to drive all the way from San Diego to come open the store for me. They book private appointments so you are the only one in the studio and you have their full attention. The studio and store is also the most well set up. We had a whole private viewing/trying on area with glamorous mirrors and seating areas for my guests. There are so many dresses in many different styles to choose from!
