Nedra and Jenna at Posh were AMAZING. I came here for what was my second bridal try on appointment anywhere and had the best time. I ended up finding my dress and veil here and getting it preserved through them. Parking is through the other side of the street, away from where the entrance to Posh is. There was a decent variety of options here considering how small the store is. I noted some preferred designers that they happened to have and helped me focus on those areas when I was picking ones to try on. Jenna was the one who assisted for my actual try ons. I opted to go alone so it was nice that she was giving me good feedback without being pushy. She paid attention to what I liked about certain dresses and ultimately recommended a few other dresses that had them. My dress ended up being one Jenna added for me! It was perfect because I was debating between something super classic vs romantic and she knew immediately that she could find me something in the middle. I got alterations done here as well as my veil. Altogether I was able to stay within my budget, though alterations were definitely a bit pricier which I know is common. Monika their seamstress was also great at giving me recommendations on what would look good without me really overthinking it. After my wedding I came back to get my dress preserved. They have a beautiful selection of dresses! I honestly do believe there could be a dress for everyone here. This was the second bridal store I went to when looking for my wedding dress. The first dress I chose here, I immediately fell in love with when I tried it on. It truly was my perfect dream dress. It was extremely easy to order the dress from the designer with the help of the shop and to add in specifications. They notified me when my dress came in months later and I was able to do a final try on at the shop. They even recommended a fantastic tailor, Monika (@monika_alterations), who helped to make my dream dress come true. We were able to book with the tailor, pay for the alterations, and get measured all on the same day as the final try-on. It made everything much easier. My number one recommendation is to always make an appointment as they are busy! The three fitting rooms they have are almost always full and they only have enough staff to really service those in the fitting room. Where to start. Posh was not the first place I tried on wedding dresses, but luckily they became where I found my dream dress!! I unfortunately didn't have a great experience at another place and was a little nervous to try a different dress boutique but my hesitations were quickly dismissed once I got to chat with the owner Nedra, and the other amazing girls Jenna & Jillian! I went into Posh a few times to try on dresses and each time I went in, I was treated like a princess!! This was the first place I tried dresses for my wedding. I was on a tight budget and timeline (I had exactly 2 months to get a dress). The fitter, Jesse, was very helpful and friendly and she fit me in a dress I really liked. I asked how urgently I would need to order this dress in my size if I decided to buy it, and was misled when I was told the retailer Jenny Yoo usually ships within 2 weeks of purchase. After shopping around a bit more, I went back to Posh to purchase that first dress and was notified that my size was not in stock. In fact, only sizes 18+ were. I'm not sure if this happened in the short time that I was away or if it was always out of stock but no one bothered to check... Now, my only option was pay more to custom order the dress in my size and get it shipped in time. I was very clear with the lady who took my measurements that I won't have anymore time or money to alter it so I didn't want to size up. I'd rather it was too tight. I was told I would get a confirmation once the order was approved by the retailer. I never got any real confirmation, even when I messaged and called multiple times to check on my order. The response was always just "it should be here in time." I had no idea if the dress was actually even being made or not. Finally, after unfortunately having to harass the workers for answers, it arrives 5 days late after its estimated delivery and it was TOO BIG. Their in house seamstress was away until two days before I left for my wedding, so they pointed me to a lady who overcharged the crap out of me (literally charged me almost more than the dress itself just to take the bust in an inch). Instead, I went to my girl Kim (HUGE shout out to Kim's Alterations in Encinitas, she's the Queen of alterations for extremely reasonable prices!!). At that point I was a week and a half away from my wedding, dressless (alterations won't be ready until the night before I leave), and way over my budget. I called and expressed my frustrations and asked what the possibilities of reimbursement are for the alterations. They did not offer me any compensation. Now after wearing the dress, I see very clearly that I should've been ordered a size smaller, and should not have trusted their judgment on what size to get. All in all, this was an incredibly stressful process due to poor communication and professionalism from the staff. read more

Erika was amazing!! Although I didn't end up picking my dress from here, the experience was lovely. Parking is pretty easy, we got a spot on the street a few steps away. We had a 1 hour appointment and I was able to try on maybe 10 dresses total! Posh had a huge selection of dresses in all sorts of styles. It was refreshing to try on such a wide array of different looks (and sizes)! A few dresses were actually my size, which was nice to not have to be clipped up! Erika was amazing! This was my daughter's second bridal shop experience and we were all in awe with the warm, attentive and relaxed service. Erika listened to my daughter's ideas, viewed photos of gowns that she had saved and then expertly picked out very similar gowns. She also asked if it was ok to throw in a "wild card", which was awesome and ended up being one of the top contenders!. Erika was respectful of space/privacy, while also being there to help with gown adjustments and then opening the curtains of the dressing room to present the bride to be in each gown. It was truly a special time and we did not feel at all rushed or pressured. There are a couple of dressing rooms that are separated from each other, giving privacy from other groups. The dressing room has ample space with a large mirror and lovely lighting, separated by hanging curtains that Erika opened once the bride to be was dressed. The guest waiting/viewing area had a cute loveseat for 2 and 2 small benches (so room for 4 guests to sit comfortably). I highly recommend putting Posh on your list when shopping for gowns. After some last-minute alterations, my wedding dress desperately needed a good steaming, and I was way too nervous to do it myself! I searched all over San Diego County, but everywhere I called quoted me between $200-$300 just to steam it. Then I found McKayla at Posh Brides and Grooms, and I'm so glad I did! She was incredibly responsive, quoted me $100, and gave me a clear timeline for when to bring the dress in. When I arrived at the shop, she was so kind and reassuring, promising to make my dress look perfect, and she absolutely delivered. When I picked it up the next day, it looked flawless! McKayla explained that my dress fabric was prone to wrinkling and that I'd likely need a quick touch-up before wearing it. She walked me through exactly how to do it safely, reassured me I wouldn't damage it, and even showed me how to carry the dress properly. She went above and beyond by stuffing the dress with tissue paper to help it hold its shape. Her attention to detail and care blew me away, I truly wish I had found her shop sooner! First off let me say the owner is very professional and provided an amazing experience for me when I found my dress. My initial appointment was amazing and I LOVED the dress she found for me. She found THE dress on the second one she had me try on which was wild. She is great. There is a younger girl that works there, she is not professional and does not represent the owner well at all. Dealing with her was so frustrating and honestly made me regret buying my dress from this place. This was my first time getting a wedding dress, and we were confused about the alterations process as there was a misunderstanding. The owner was able to resolve the issue quickly and we came to an agreement that worked for us. While we were trying to get this figured out the girl working at the shop made passive aggressive comments like "well if you're not happy you could just go somewhere else but good luck getting it done on time". She also made statements like "that never would have happened" when we explained our understanding of the communication. Overall she was rude condescending and if I had known I would be dealing with her in the forseeable future I wouldn't have purchased my dress here. When I did my first fitting she also said "omg thats one of my favorite dresses in the shop. I would NEVER personally wear it but omg its so pretty". I am sorry but why in the f do you need to make comments like that? I don't care if you would "NEVER personally wear it". I would rather she just shut her mouth and left us alone rather than making comments that made me and my mom super uncomfortable. We were both elated when we tried on my dress and she ruined the vibe and the mood with her weird unrequited comments. Then there was the fiasco with my alterations date. My mom and I both separately put the same date in our calendar for the pickup of my dress. I wanted to do it even sooner because I was nervous about anything going wrong or the dress not being ready on time but they assured me it would be. The week of my appointment comes, I took time off work, my mom and I are getting ready to drive to carlsbad and I realized I hadn't gotten any sort of confirmation from them. My mom reaches out because at this point if I have to talk to that girl again and she makes another weird comment, I didn't have the patience to be kind. The girl tells my mom that we have the wrong date. My mom assures her we confirmed this date back when we tried on the dress because they wanted to book a date even closer to the wedding and we said absolutely not. So the girl gives some BS about how its our fault that we got the dates wrong. Let me be clear when I tell you I did not get a single vendor meeting/call wrong for my entire wedding and every single one of my vendors can attest to how organized I was. But again this girl loves to blame the customers rather than try to solve a problem. We find out my dress isn't there and then she says "well why can't she just come on another day and pick it up"? Girl what?! Let me show you my calendar the 3 weeks leading up to my wedding and then you can explain to me why I have to rearrange my schedule for your mistake? Clearly this girl is incredibly entitled and so far disconnected from reality. My mom was very kind and ended up speaking to the owner, the only competent person working at the shop, and she came up with a solution where we got my dress the next day. My dress was perfect and amazing and we ended up picking it up directly from the seamstress who was super kind. If I NEVER had to interact with the other girl working at the shop, I would've probably given them a 4 or 5 star review. But holy moly she was so rude and had absolutely no sense of customer service. When you are spending thousands of dollars for a dress you would think the people working would have the sense to help people not be a jerk to them. The stark difference from the experience you get with the owner and the other person working there could not be more apparent. read more
