This was my 3rd child and yet the stress and anxiety that comes over and impending labor and delivery was still there but she helped me talk through the process and talk through what I liked and disliked about my previous births and what I wanted most for this upcoming birth. She had really good questions to help me think and she really helped me go through all of the details of what I hoped for with my birth plan and so she helped me feel more calm than I would have been and it was so so incredibly helpful. When the day of the actual labor came she came in and her presence was so calm and uplifting and excited that I couldn't help but feel more excited and calm myself. As the labor progressed she had really good tips on helping me work through the pain to try to achieve the type of birth that I wanted and she was able to I direct my husband as well to be able to help. I would definitely go with Katrina again because she was just so helpful and kind and happy about everything that I was going through. She had good advice for recovery as well, and was prompt in delivering the encapsulated placenta pills, which she did a great job with! Anyways, I love Katrina! We felt well-prepared going into the birth thanks to the time she spent with us beforehand, answering every question and walking us through what to expect. When labor began, we felt ready--and during the birth, her support and knowledge were invaluable. What we really appreciated was the ability to reach out with questions both before and after the birth too. I could have gotten the exact same information from simply doing a Google search, and they gave the audacity to charge $700 for a Telehealth visit. I understand my insurance doesn't cover this, but $700 for a 30 minutes chat on basic information is absurd. Don't make the same mistake I did. Do your own research and decide if you want to freeze your eggs before ever going near a clinic. They aren't there to help you make an informed decision, they are there to make sure they get your money regardless of if they get your business or not. It is just a business profiting on peace of mind and hopes and dreams, after all.

I was out of town and called the Friday prior to my appointment asking if I can do a virtual visit. It was for a preconception consultation. I was informed that the practice never does virtual and that wouldn't be possible. I was bummed because this appt. was very much needed. I decided to make the drive in town from vacation. When I arrived at the appointment and received a text message from one of the staff members letting me know that my virtual appointment was beginning. Let me also add that I had requested to email my medical records ahead of my appt. and I was told this was not possible. I had my medical records in hand and I was eager to give it to Dr. Humphrey for our in person appointment. I explained the misinformation and that I brought my records. The staff member texted me back saying that the doctor's schedule was full and she would get back to me but couldn't see me today. I walked into waiting area and asked if the doctor was there today. I was informed that she was present and the office was vacant. For about an hour it was just me and very few clients walked in and out towards the later half of the hour. The manager greeted me one hour later! I could have been seen by then. The manager shared how busy she was and there was a stranger in the room. I asked her who she was and I was informed she was there for the meeting. Long story short... the manager told me the intern may have not known the office policies and misinformed me and that doctors never see first time patients for pre-conception appointments. WHAT!? She said that the nurse was not available to meet with me that morning. I don't understand how this can happen and they can't rectify a better solution. Also they were sending conflicting messages. The doctor was going to see me and then suddenly only the nurse sees clients for these visits. The lobby was practically empty for a majority of my time there yet they were slammed and too busy for me. I am just SO thankful for this experience as it solidified my plan with Orlando Health. I want to be with a practice that truly care about getting it right and is compassionate. Sadly, I had read many other bad reviews about visits to see Dr. Humphrey mostly about admin. I didn't want to believe them and decided to try anyways. Now I know. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
