We no longer recommend them. Very disappointed with the quality of their work. They broke things…read morethat weren't broken, they would show up late at night or not show up at all. They said work would take a week and it took over 7 weeks. We kept complaining and he made it seem like it was our fault. Worker installed the bathroom floor with the wrong glue and added a sub-floor when it wasn't needed. Then tried to tell us that there was nothing wrong with it. When he finally agreed to re-do the work, it was sloppy and he had to come back. They didn't put the toilet back correctly so now it's wobbles. That didn't happen before they came in. They broke the saddle and glued it back like we wouldn't notice. Our agreement was to spackle and paint the garage walls and ceiling . The ceiling wasn't painted. Apparently spakaling does not include all 4 walls, just the ones he wanted to include. Paul said he was getting s professional cleaning team, instead it was 1 lady who was an hour late, left for 2 hours and was supposed to come back the next day and never returned. The new toilet he installed in the half bath runs after every 10 flushes. $900 for a home depot door that was not finished, has cheap nobs that keep falling off and will continue to do so and is uneven and missing screws. Last year, when he did our patio, he promised no more weeds. Again that was a lie as the weeds continue to pop up. Half bath grout looks like it was not done properly. They didn't clean up. He would complain he needed money to pay his crew, even though we had paid him 90% and he wasn't finished. We shouldn't be penalized for him failing to hire professionals. Nor should we be continually harassed at work for more money because he wouldn't wait until we got home from work. His workers dropped things from the fridge and didn't clean it up.Paul became agited when we refused to leave the door unlocked when we were going away for the weekend. I feel like we were taken for a ride. We paid in full for a poor job that has yet to be completed.

Greenhouse Solar Review -- Delays, Poor Workmanship, and Broken Promises…read moreWe had our solar system installed by Greenhouse Solar in September 2024, and unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. Before installation, I asked whether the panels were actually in stock. I received no response. Then, on 8/26/2025, I was informed by Lee Oelkers that their regular panels were out of stock and would be replaced with a different brand. On 10/1/2025, after a night of high winds, we heard loud banging on the roof. Greenhouse Solar came out the next day and confirmed panels were loose, securing them at that time. On 12/2/2025, we were notified by NJ ADI that our paperwork for the state rebate was incomplete due to missing serial numbers on the power box. At the company's request, I opened the power box, photographed the serial numbers, and sent them in. Then, on 12/10/2025, the company admitted an error on the New Jersey state form and asked me to re-sign corrected documents. I did so, and shortly afterward we were told the state would now require a site inspection. On 12/18/2025, after a wind and rainstorm, 38% of our panels stopped functioning. When I called Greenhouse Solar on 12/19/2025, I was told the panels would "fix themselves." The following day I received another email insisting it was not an installation issue. On 12/21/2025, I emailed back disputing that microinverters "self-repair," requested service, and received no response. I then sent a corrective-action letter giving seven days to reply. On 12/24/2025, a salesperson told me they were busy with end-of-year installs, but still no official response from the company. On 12/26/2025, I finally received an email from Lauren stating a technician would be at my home on 12/31 between 8-9 a.m. No one showed up. My calls and emails went unanswered. Later that day I received a new email saying the visit was moved to January 6th, and that Lauren would be leaving the company on 1/2/26. Bottom line: Greenhouse Solar changed equipment after the sale, performed poor-quality installation, mishandled required New Jersey paperwork, and repeatedly provided inaccurate information -- including claims that failed panels would fix themselves and confirming an appointment that never occurred. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

I reached out to Green House for a quote on a repair to my Sunpower solar system. The woman I spoke…read moreto told me that, unfortunately they do not handle repairs but could recommend a couple firms who did. She then went further and inquired about the issue I was having and provided some helpful insights on my issue and what I might expect regarding repair. Based on the customer service provided for someone who is not a customer I would definitely consider Greenhouse if I was shopping for a new system.

Random door knocker was professional. Just giving out quotes: "we do not expect you to do any work…read more It's valid for a year." Started to get a bit cautious once I had to confirm the appointment I had just made in person over that guy's phone at the door with him. Then got another call the day after to confirm the visit again. Overkill to say the least and annoying. However, the worst was their onsite visit that never ended, was only meant to be an hour (but turned into 2.5 hrs) and was clearly meant to pressure homeowners to sign that day. I blame the corporate strategy, not the onsite messenger. "Huge" first time visit discount and the most unprofessional part of it all was the tactics: with every hesitation from our end, we got a discount. "Let me see if we can do better for you" and "we don't give out this discount anymore but I'm going to make an exception". They knocked off $16K in a few hours......RED FLAG to me. Lots of lines meant to trigger emotion of potential buyer: "may I speak candidly with you, you have an urgent need here" or "I want to say off the record that you cannot wait past July to fix this roof". I knew it was psychological games when, during the attic visit, I was told "sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you have some leaks", said to me as if my entire attic was moldy and destroyed. Lastly, the "this roof really needs to be fixed no later than this summer" turned into "ok, if you really want to wait until the fall, we can do that". To Power: if your strategy is obviously to go hard at potential clients to sign there and then, be upfront about it and take cues from the client when they are politely trying to tell you they are not ready. A $13K gap in pricing is too big: the goal is clearly to capture business fast through pressure tactics at the highest price. These tactics may work on an 82 year old lady but it was clear as day what the tactics were, and explaining your model of maximing time and materials doesn't make it any better. Come in, do a quick visit as promised, provide a quote and go. If your sign on the spot discount strategy works, great for you but maybe tell this to the person whose door you knocked on ahead of time so they know what they're in for.

Al went above and beyond and is the most experienced roofing contractor that I have crossed paths with. I unfortunately called many roofers for quotes, but my inner gut told me to keep going. Thankfully, I continued my pursuit and found Al. Al explained every phase of my full roof replacement. He clearly and personally guided me through the permitting steps, which saved me a ton of time and stress. The office staff was equally outstanding: organized, responsive, and genuinely pleasant to work with. Sophie was very responsive which I found refreshing after the lack of response from other companies. And Mike's crew? Exceptional. Their workmanship, efficiency, and attention to detail were truly top notch and second to none. Elite Roofing is exactly the kind of company you hope to hire. They were honest, transparent, dependable, and exceptionally skilled. If Yelp allowed more than five stars, they'd easily earn them. I recommend them wholeheartedly. You'll be in great hands from start to finish.
