I have been a loyal and ongoing client of Cathey Break since 2012. Originally, I had her do my eyeliner and lips. I absolutely LOVE the results and I am hooked on permanent makeup because of her! When I first contacted her for a consultation she was very responsive. Her schedule was busy but she made efforts to get me in quickly on a day and time that worked best for me. She spent a lot of time with me to understand my needs and had great recommendations on what would look best with my face shape, skin color, etc. Her pain-free approach to these procedures is the only way to go. Her post care instructions were helpful and she checked back in with me to make sure I didn't have any problems (which I didn't) and if I was happy with the look (which I was). Since my first procedures with Cathey, I have been back several times over the years for touch-ups to brighten what was already there and this last time I picked a darker color for my lips. I have had a consistent experience with Cathey and have been extremely pleased each time. I have nothing but very good things to say about her and my experiences. I highly recommend her to friends and family who are interested in these procedures. She is an exceptional medical professional and a talented artist - a great combination for these types of procedures. I have seen Cathey at several different locations over the years. This is not that unusual. She has tried to balance her accessibility to the broader St. Louis market by changing locations. Her service and commitment to her clients doesn't change because of this. The service she sells is primarily her time that she allocates to each client. She has overhead costs of running her business. Over the years, she has had clients write her bad checks and experienced many "no-shows". These are lost opportunities for her and other clients wanting her services. As a result, she has moved to an all cash practice and requires an upfront non-refundable fee to hold your appointment. Again, this is not uncommon. All my doctors will charge me a late cancellation or "no-show" fee. For most people, it is not a problem to show up for a scheduled appointment or give adequate notice to change the appointment which is a reasonable request in Cathey's policy. read more

I checked all around the St. Louis area because I wanted someone local with a medical background for my safety, and an art background for doing the best job possible because - this is on my face!! I found just that in Cathey Break. She did my eyebrows and my eyeliner. I did not have her do my lips, only because I am prone to fever blisters. I can not express my sincere satisfaction with the way I look now. I should have done this years ago. My daughter is now going to Cathey for the same thing so she can save hours of time from putting makeup on everyday. I first heard about Cathey from my BFF when she saw Cathey on Today St. Louis. I had wanted to get my brows done for many years but I was too scared to do it. The best part is she does it with no virtually no pain! By using anesthesia there is no pain except for a tiny stick at the beginning of procedure. My friend and I went for a consult and then decided to go ahead with it. I got my brows done and my friend did eyeliner. Since that time in 2014 I have also had eyeliner done and my sister and another friend has also had procedures done. My only regret is that I should of done it 20 years ago! I am fair complected and have very little hair on my eyebrows. She did a wonderful job on me. My eyebrows look natural. The color & shape are perfect! I get complements all time on my PM by those people that know I've had it done. Those that don't know I've had it done don't really notice because it looks no natural! The other thing that I like about Cathey is that she is so conservative. PM is a process. You can go several times to get the achieve the look you want. Cathy Break is the most unprofessional person i have ever met as i think there're some mental issues . i will not bore you with details but she ruined my lips to a point that i had to have all the scarring surgically removed it was so deformed Please don't go to her as she is very greedy with money and doesn't care if you runs you face!
