But to make matters worse, I was cooking breakfast for my family out on the grill and rather than coming back to mow the area later (clearly seeing I was cooking) they mowed right through our campsite splattering grass all over our food cooking on the open grill and then all over our picnic table and supplies I was using to cook with. This was just downright disrespectful and inconsiderate!!!! We spent $600 to stay here for 2 nights just to have a little family time and this was the result of our first morning. Food gone to waste and family left hungry. We found alternative food in the fridge and sat down to eat it at the only other table at our cabin which was inside the screened in deck, then some one came with a weed wacker right up against the side of the porch so we couldn't even enjoy a quiet relaxing meal. I understand you guys have a job to do but come on a little respect and common sense goes a long way. When i call to talk to the company no one answers, i left a message and no one calls back. Merle and Angel did a fantastic job clearing out the stumps, weeds and old dirt, replacing with new topsoil and mulch, and then power washing the algae from the brick, front porch and pavers all around the house. They made sure I was completely satisfied with their work before they left and I am thrilled with the results! This has been one of the most unpleasant experiences in lawn care that I have come across in my 53years. Not only did they clip one of our trees with there equipment but they left our lawn torn up and the left over gravel piled under the soil in the beds they were to widen. The resetting of the patio pavers seemed to go well and looked really good. However after one winter and not even close to a year later, the grout compound is not holding and a sealant that used at our hurricane doors is ready to peel off. That being said I have spent several days, so far this year, pulling the weeds that must have come with the soil they delivered. I keep my beds extremely clean and weed free and have been very upset to see the never ending sprout of beds of weeds. My husband and I could have handled that we had to reseed 1/2 the yard, pull a tremendous amounts of weeds and now have to address the paver issue, if the owner would have agreed to come out and see the shape in which the yard was left. Unfortunately, he refused to extend that courtesy. Next time the contractor won't get the balance of his payment until he shows up to pick it up (and then we will have his undivided attention. Unfortunately, I have pulled most of the weeds and we reseeded last year so no good pics to show there. However, I have attached pics of the paver work. Poor grout line, grout fell out already, large gaps between pavers on stairs (I question how long it will be before they are unstable for walking) and sealant raised like bubbles and peeling from outside that stairs to our hurricane doors(will we end up with water in the basement).
