I'm going to do my best to be objective, here. I waited a couple weeks post-completion to leave this review to try to let my aggravation settle. Overall, the experience we had with our primary bathroom remodel was not good. The final product is OK for the price, but the process removed any reason for me to use this company in the future or recommend them to anyone. TL;DR: -was quoted 2 weeks. Job took 12. -2 shower leaks that required drywall work and ceiling work post completion. -entire house covered in construction dust due to not sealing off the work area. Worker cut tile and mixed mortar inside the house. -Foreman told us to submit cleaning bills, then left the company. Owner wouldn't pay. A neighbor used them months before us, with a great experience. That worker doesn't work for the company anymore. Maybe we just had a post-pandemic labor shortage issue.... but based on our experience I'd never recommend them. Looks like all the review from prior years were great. Now? Not great. Full story below: This company charges labor, and requires the homeowner to procure the materials. Great. We worked with their design guy, who was excellent, and picked out all of our materials and fixtures. That's about where the good times ended. They quoted us two weeks. They started ten days late. The demo wasn't taped off well and our house was covered in dust. We hired a steaming company to clean the rugs and we had to deep clean everything due to the (no joke) layer of dust in almost every room of the house. I really wish I'd have been pushy about their taping off everything better. After the demo, the worker was cutting the tile inside the bathroom, so the dust never really quit. They finally finished at the six week mark. We asked a couple times for them to send help for our worker along the way, which they didn't do. They were well aware that things were behind. The employee was very nice, but not ever on time and until the end, didn't often put in full days. We paid in full at job completion as per the contract, but then discovered a leak the next morning. They came to fix it (and the ceiling below the bathroom) in a reasonable timeframe, only to have another leak in a couple days time. Had I known what we were about to deal with, I would have never paid them in full, because the compensation at the end of the project that we recouped was not enough. During one of the fixes, the employee scratched up the new bathroom shower hardware, so we had to order new stuff, which was "paid for" by the company in their refund check to us - but as I mentioned above, it hardly covered the trouble/damages. Long story short, the project finally finished twelve weeks after it started - for a medium sized primary bath. Shower, tile, vanity, fixtures. No tub. Two leaks. Scratched up hardware. We chose this company because our neighbors used them and loved them. Great work, fast. The guy who did their work? Not with the company any more. The guy who did our work? Not there anymore either. Our foreman? You guessed it. At the end of the job, the owner told us that he wasn't responsible for anything that our foreman told us (which is crazy, in my mind) and wasn't apologetic for the length of the job. read more

I use reviews for big projects, I thought it was worth time to write a review for Euro Design Remodel to help others. Their business model is different. You buy whatever fixtures, tubs, tile, accessories and they charge labor to install. You also pay for any materials used to do the work, they provide receipts. We used them for a master bath remodel including new tub, increased shower size, (tub, sink, shower) fixtures, new tile floor, hang mirrors, medicine cabinets, and electrical heater. No new countertop or cabinets. We were told the job would take 2-3 weeks to complete. Job started on May 3 and completed on July 20. It was an adventure! They were a little cheaper, however, for the amount of correspondence required and project management required was not worth the the extra savings. There was a nice guy Dan who would come to help solve the problems. Always seemed like there was beef between him and the crews/foreman. Rafael was great in helping us pick out tiles and fixtures for things to match.. Took the time and met us at the store and spent 2 hours with us. If problems start to arise on the job, he says to contact him, but then he points you to the owner Tom which was disappointing. We had three different crews. There were several negligent, clumsy errors, things got installed that didn't work properly. Specific details below if you care. For an electrical change order I got billed via subcontractor, EDR tried to bill me for those materials as well. When final payment time came, I was billed for materials that they had to purchase due to their own repairs. In the end, I did not have to pay for the rework materials or the subcontracted electrical materials. I shouldn't have even had to argue that though with Tom. We have had one leak 6 months after under shower into kitchen ceiling, tape lines showing 7 months on newly painted walls and cracked caulk all around the tub. All have been fixed with the 1 year warranty we got. I would not recommend them for a remodeling job. Choose carefully. ---- Specific details of issues if interested: - Separated storm door from house, didn't tell me, found myself when trying to close the door after they left. - First crew stepped in between floor joists into our kitchen ceiling, took down almost full sheet of drywall into the kitchen. Piping chipped hardwood floor. Purple plumbing glue spilled on kitchen floor. - First crew built the tub decking the wrong size that had to be rebuilt with new materials. - Second crew worker fell down steps and broke arm - Third crew, after 10 mins conversation how to lay floor tile, floor tiles were laid in the wrong direction - Accent tile installed without grout spacing, had to be taken off and reinstalled - Inconsistent (charcoal) color grout on floor. In spots it was dark gray and other almost white. Was told sealing would make it better. It did improve, but still not correct to this day. - Crew couldn't find connector to install tub piping for 3 weeks. I ended up calling Kohler myself to ask what specific connectors were required. - Tub fixtures and sprayer did not work properly, both would be on the same time, diverter was not installed properly. - Sink drains were not attached to be able to open and close drain. - Shower drain was installed higher than the floor, so we had huge puddle in the middle. Shower floor had to be ripped up and redone. - Crew didn't know how to install the shower door. Threw away parts that were needed and had to contact company to send parts again. read more

As first-time homeowners, we were really careful in choosing a contractor for our kitchen remodel. We did our research and decided to go with Euro Design Remodel and let me tell you, it was a great decision. The salesperson working with us, Rafael, was our main person of contact. He was very approachable and every time we had a question or concern, he was always available to address it. (Absolutely appreciated that). Euro Design remodel has done work for our practice at several locations. All were extensive in their scope. One office was a complete renovation with taking the space down to just external walls and a new buildout. They handled every aspect of the construction with efficiency and professionalism. All work at that site and others were delivered on budget and on time. They coordinated the work with various sub contractors and keep you in the loop to ensure the finished product is as you intended. They were able to value engineer design elements to save costs and time. This company is not just for domestic remodels, they can handle that all the way up to a complete medical office buildout. We will be using them for future projects as well and I would not hesitate to recommend them. read more

Had a horrible experience with this company. The job was to completely remodel a 5x7 bathroom. After 6+ months, getting a lawyer involved and many return visits, our bathroom is now complete. The GC's they hired are most likely from a Home Depot parking lot. The first GC texted me saying the company "EuroDesignRemodel" only cares about money. Another GC told me that if I wanted anything else completed, I should call them directly and they would help me. I highly advise you to stay away from this company. My windows started to show signs of wear, showing cracks in the sealant and fogging, letting in the cold air. With the help of Euro Design Remodel my windows are brand new, again. The owner met us on time, was polite, courteous and knowledgeable about the work and products. He made recommendations to improve window installment for better efficiency. His company not only delivered a great product, but worked in a timely manner, and delivered ahead of schedule. Great Contractor, Great Price! Euro Design Remodel recently finished remodeling a guest bathroom and our master bathroom shower from start to finish. They were flexible about items I chose to purchase on my own and made recommendations and sourced additional items when appropriate. Spoke with several other contractors for estimates and their price was fair and reasonable for the project, they always arrived/emailed/called/followed up when they said they would. I hired this company to redo my bathroom. The first person that came to do the demo throw out many things that was told by the designer not to do. I was extremely upset about that and the designer( Rafael) and the PM ( Dan) had told me they will fix it and it must have been a miscommunication. It came to get the supplies and I left work early so I can go to Homedepot with the worker to pay since I receive military discounts. I waited about 5 plus hrs. and no call. They called me at about 7:30 pm to meet them there. I have a toddler in my home and being a single parent can not just leave etc. I told them no why didn't they communicate with me the whole that there was an issue about the vehicle. The owner Thomas got involved and said he will make it up sending the best crew he has. I agreed since the demo was done. The new crew came on Monday and once again took off from work to meet the designer, PM and the workers to make sure everyone was on the same page. I am still waiting for a layout which was never given. The workers didn't cover walls as the contract says. They didn't clean up everyday. Dust was all over my for weeks of them working in there. There has been trash from the work outside my house for the last 3+ weeks waiting for them to take it. They took the left over supplies "I" purchased for them selves or another job, they didn't install some new water lines they used the old one. I bought new ones, they choose to take them. They initially install pipes where it wasn't to be. I called the designer and he told me "don't micromanage the workers let them work". I ended letting the PM know before they put the tiles up so they don't have to demo the tiles after. The PM was happy and glad I pointed it out to him. As the tiles were complete there are several that are not straight, flushed etc. The craftsmanship is extremely sloppy. "Furthermore, the bath tub faucet which is for my toddler that they installed was switched. The cold is the hot and Visa Versa. If it is not for me watching my child and setting the water he could have burnt himself thinking that he is turning the cold water on. Anyone that is professional will check the water to make sure its correct". The manager came when I pointed all this out and said the boss will have to come. This was the third strike that occurred in my bathroom that wasn't to be so difficult. I am choosing not to go with them to fix it since they are not trustworthy as you can read the issues that they continue to say we will fix. When the boss came he told me that the tile are never flushed and are manufactured wobbly. This is false. I had extra tiles and showed him that they are flushed and not wobbly, there maybe one or two that come that way, hence you don't use those. Since, the job is not complete and will not use them to try to fix the issues for the Third time. He says he will take legal actions. According to the boss and his attitude is everything can be fixed and their expense but my time is to bad. I would never suggest anyone to use this company ever!! the attitude , and workmanship is terrible. read more

Growing up with a general contractor in my family, working in construction for several years and being in the Real Estate industry now, I know what it takes to be a top notch contractor. Euro Design is nothing short of awesome. They are responsive, show up on the day and time you agreed to, they provide itemized receipts, do the work for a fair price and the work they do is amazing. I went through 7 contractors before picking Euro Design and for good reason. If you are anywhere between DC and Baltimore there is no other company worth considering. I had them install a wet bar, do some electrical work, install flooring and a few doors in my house. Everything looks like it was designed to be there from the time the house was originally built! Even the doors that I wanted in some tight spots came out looking as if they were there from the original house design. These guys have impressed me in every way and I wouldn't consider doing business with any other contractor in the national capital region. read more

Poor Customer Care/Service. Euro Design Remodel has done two complete bathroom renovations for me, the last was in August 2016. Both were done to my satisfactory. Two weeks ago I noticed a small water stain at the corner of family room ceiling, it appears to be a slow water leak from master bath shower stall above, not knowing whether cause by leaking faucets seals, pipe joints dripping from the time of installation or something, so I called and spoke to Tomas (owner) to schedule appointment for an inspection and repair cost estimate, got NO REPLY from anyone that was two weeks ago, It seems Tomas company only pay attentions to money making projects not after sales small repair. read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. Our initial contact / estimate was performed professionally by Baha, and the work was performed on time in a clean and extremely professional manner. On each job day, the crew arrived exactly on time and worked in an extremely efficient, clean and professional manner. William, the job forman, was always polite and took the extra steps to keep us informed, and always took the extra time to clean up everything at the end of each day. We were less than satisfied with previous contractors, but both William and Baha deserve special recognition for a job EXTREMELY well done. I was particularly impressed that the workers were laughing and singing while working. Happy employees tend to produce a higher quality of work! Prior contractors obviously did not enjoy their job, and that was also evident in their mediocre finished product. Baha also went out of his way to locate a tile match for us (no simple task) and extended his discount to us when we wanted to upgrade some fixtures. Our large project took several weeks to complete, and I wouldn't hesitate to do business with this company again. Quality work, professional staff, I can't say enough good things here. We recently remodeled our upstairs bathroom with Euro Design Remodel, adding a shower and vanity, and retiling the floor and walls. Our experience can be split in two: 5 stars: The workmanship was great - we are very happy with the quality of the work and finished product. The project manager (Baha) and workers (Eric and William) were very friendly and approachable. Baha put in a lot of time looking for a vanity that fit our space. 2 stars: Miscommunications about scope, cost, and timing added a few weeks and a few thousand dollars to our project. We felt that the company dropped their responsibilities as the professionals to explain some options/outcomes adequately until after we were in the middle of the project and could no longer undo what had been done. At the end, Tomas offered some discounts and help with financing, which was appreciated, but it did not change the fact that we would have made different decisions if we had been fully advised about them in time. read more

I am delighted with how my master bathroom remodel turned out. I worked with Rafael, who was very attentive to my wishes and did exactly what I requested. The crew who performed the work were careful, considerate, and all along the way made sure that they knew what I wanted. The man who did the tile work was an artist, clearly taking great pride in his work. The remodel involved removing a jetted tub and shower stall, moving a door, and basically taking the whole room down to the studs. There was also a lot of electrical work and reconfiguring plumbing. The result far surpassed my expectations, and the project cost less than half of what a firm in Bethesda had quoted. Couldn't possibly be more pleased. read more

He called me the next day . He waited 4 months to commented . This is why is hard to share review as a paying consumer . There are so many good contractors out there . We had Euro Design install a bathroom in the basement of our rowhome last summer. The experience during the project was okay. They definitely didn't "design" anything, but they were pretty efficient and professional. We were responsible for ordering and picking up all of our own hardware, paint, tile, lights, vanity, EVERYTHING, which seemed really odd and inconvenient to me, but each contractor does this differently. Our general contractor was okay. Not very personable, and wrote up our quote incorrectly multiple times, although Tomas did seem to get on him about correcting it and making it right. Our main issue is the work that was actually done. Most of it was good, but if I'm paying +20,000$ I expect my door to be painted with more than one coat of paint so it looks decent, and I don't expect all my tile grout to be completely cracked and crumbing in my floor-to-ceiling shower after a year of use. We have reached out to them to see if they are willing to remedy the situation, so I'll edit this as necessary. Update: Upgraded my review from 2 to 4 stars. After posting here Tomas (owner) reached out to me. Apparently our contractor, who we had been trying to reach out to about the issues, is no longer working there and they were unaware of the problems. Tomas sent our sub out to fix the grout and cracked tiles in the shower and so far it looks great. read more

I don't know how these guys have so many good reviews. They were extremely sloppy and unprofessional with our bathroom remodels last year. Two of the three sinks they replaced are now leaking. The shower started leaking shortly after install, so they needed to remove the ceiling from our kitchen (below the leaking shower) to fix. We had another professional check the install of the second shower they replaced due to leaks. They cut out a hole in the wall for the medicine cabinet before measuring, which they had to re-cut since it did not fit with the bathroom cabinet and lighting. They dropped the bathroom tile down the stairs, breaking multiple tiles and then proceeded to tell us that we did not have enough tiles. They called out more Mondays than they worked and were weeks behind scheduled. They got paint all over the brand new bathroom sinks and fixtures and were just sloppy in general. Definitely do not recommend. read more

We have used services from Euro Design Remodeling Company a few times now and find they do excellent work. This year we had them remodel one of the master bathrooms in our house. We really enjoyed working with the project manager, the workers have always been on time, and very flexible when it came to making changes after the work had started. I needed some walls and plumbing changed to achieve what I wanted and the highly skilled crew did it all - electrical, plumbing, lighting, tile work, beautiful glass shower doors, a natural stone shower floor and a new entrance to my Master Bedroom. I have to downgrade my previous review because we have had terrible problems with the floors installed by this company. Some planks are popping up and my research indicates the wood was not allowed to properly air before installing it. Now, I may have to redo the entire kitchen floors because the store recommended by the company no longer carries the wood floors we purchased. So, resolving this problem will turn out to be very costly. read more

Euro Design Remodel redid my 3 bathrooms from start to finish. They were wonderful and easy to work with. They are very trustworthy - we felt comfortable with them. Very responsive - answered all my many questions. Our bathrooms had to be redone from drywall and flooring out and they did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. They were reliable, they showed up every day at 8:00 a.m. and worked till 6:00, even worked weekends when our schedule allowed. The tiling (floor, walls, shower) is exceptional - they are definitely tile experts. They were helpful when we were picking out tiles and fixtures, assuring that everything would fit and look good. As a designer myself, I was a little bit hesitant to work with this team, but followed my friend's (who's an architect) recommendations and recently have contracted them for a small residential project in Bethesda, MD (a renovation of sun room using energy efficient window/door system). I was pleasantly impressed by the professional quality, skill sets and efficiency that this team brought to the table. They have topped my local contractor list not only for their great expertise in construction field, sufficient and precise lead time, but as well as a broad knowledge in sustainability (my favorite!). Once you call them, ask for Rimas. He seems to know more than your average customer service person and will easily guide you to choose the most efficient and best suiting solution for your project. Euro Design Remodel performed a major renovation of our new house in Hyattsville: first, our 1960s kitchen needed a gut renovation; second, a full bathroom that was off the kitchen needed to be downgraded to a half bath, its door needed to be moved into the hallway (from the kitchen--??), and all fixtures had to be roughed-in for a future date when my wife and I feel handy enough to learn to finish a bathroom. All in all, they provided an accurate estimate, completed the work on time and on budget, and work quality was pretty professional. Echoing what Hannah P. said earlier, EDR didn't "design" anything - my wife and I chose everything, from the floors to the cabinets to the light fixtures to the paint colors - but install was pretty smooth. The only issue was some major communication issues with laborers - mostly the fault of Google's failed ability to support text-to-speech translation in Georgian. But those issues were largely worked out with Vytis, the project manager, who was available by phone and who we saw every few days at the house. read more

Just remodeled our master bath (removed tub, toilet, vanity, fixtures, lighting) and replaced with a tiled shower customized to our design, new toilet and vanity, new fixtures, etc. Designer Rafael has a great sense of aesthetics and patiently guided us to good solutions. The approach entailed a lot of legwork on our part (visiting cabinet, granite, and tile vendors, choosing fixtures), but I was up for that. The benefits to this approach were an overall cost that was very reasonable for the work done, and flexibility to choose exactly what we wanted. Eric, Willy, and Chris did excellent construction work and kept our home remarkably clean. The project ran a bit longer than estimated, but that was largely due to schedule coordination with the granite supplier and a mirror that arrived with damage, needing last-minute replacement. We're absolutely delighted with the results. We would recommend Euro to friends. In fact, we did! read more
