Seattle Express - Seattle Express Agent! Horribly rude, no accountability, and lacks a personalble demeanor to even represent the company.

As a professional travel advisor, my goal is to make traveling as stress-free as possible for my…read moreclients. I plan ahead, confirm details, and try to make sure every part of their trip is handled before they ever leave home. That is why I was extremely disappointed with my clients' experience with Seattle Express. I booked and paid for their cruise transportation 9 days in advance. Unfortunately, an error was made by Seattle Express when the reservation was scheduled, which resulted in my clients waiting for hours and ultimately having to find another way to get to the cruise port. Seattle Express did apologize and refund the transportation cost, and I appreciate that. However, a refund simply returned money for a service that was never properly provided. It did not address the inconvenience, stress, time lost, or the additional effort my clients and I spent trying to arrange last-minute transportation for something that had already been booked and paid for. As a business owner and travel professional, I understand that mistakes can happen. When I make a mistake, I believe an apology is only the beginning. I do everything possible to correct the situation, rebuild my client's trust, and reassure them that their business matters. Unfortunately, I did not feel that same level of accountability or concern from Seattle Express. The response felt more like, "You received your refund, so the matter is resolved." For travel professionals, our reputation depends heavily on the companies we trust with our clients. I expected better follow-through and customer service after an error that caused such a major disruption on cruise embarkation day. I hope Seattle Express reviews how situations like this are handled in the future. A refund may correct the financial portion of a mistake, but good customer service should also address the experience and inconvenience caused. Towana S Davis Travel Advisor

We were on our way to Point Robinson Park to see the Troll but didn't know we had to take a Ferry to get there, hehe. Even though it was later during the day, I told the other half lets do it, lets go on the Ferry!! hehe. I always wanted to see how the Ferry works with vehicle, last Ferry ride we parked our car and hopped on the Ferry this time we got to try it out, pretty cool. Made me wish Oahu had the ferry- to go to the other islands, so junk that they had to stopped the ferry! I didn't see any info. posted for the cost to bring your car on the Ferry, there wasn't any info. on Ferry schedule either. After asking attendant, we paid $24.95 per car which includes the fare for driver and $14.90 additional per adult. This is for round trip. Need to let the attendant know where you are going, for us its Vashon Island with a V!! Staff will assist you on where to go and when to go on the ferry, pretty cool experience, once the Fauntleroy Ferry runs, I loved the scenic views of Olympic mountain, just loved the experience! So cool, upon arriving we drove off to see and explore Vashon Island. The junk part is we arrived late so not much time, will start bright and early to have an entire day.

Overall, the terminal gets the job done, but there are definitely some areas that could be improved. One of the biggest issues is that the scheduled ferry times aren't always reliable. I would estimate that around 30% of the time, the ferry is running late, which can make planning around appointments, work, or other commitments difficult--especially when you rely on the ferry to get on and off the island regularly. That being said, I do appreciate that the staff generally do their best to prioritize people who need to board first and make accommodations for emergencies, particularly when someone needs to get off the island urgently. That can make a big difference for island residents. Another downside is the lack of shaded areas while waiting. During the warmer months, sitting in your car while waiting for the ferry can become incredibly hot, especially when there's no shade available. Overall, the terminal is an essential part of island life, and the staff do their best to keep things moving. However, more reliable scheduling and some sort of shaded waiting area would make the experience much better for the many people who use the ferry regularly.

Uber in Seattle is... well, it's what you use because there aren't really any other options. Taxis?…read morePractically extinct. Hailing one here feels like waiting for a unicorn to trot down Pike Street. So, Uber it is. The service itself is hit-or-miss. Sometimes you get a clean car, a driver who actually knows the city, and a smooth ride. Other times you're stuck on a scenic "Seattle detour" that's just code for "the GPS lost its mind in SoDo." Traffic is brutal no matter what, so don't expect miracles--whether you're in an Uber or your own car, you'll be staring at brake lights. Pricing swings with the mood of the city. Surge pricing during a Mariners game or when it rains (so, basically every other day)? Expect your wallet to feel lighter. But compared to the ghost town of taxis, Uber at least shows up when you need it, which is really the only reason it wins by default. Uber in Seattle isn't glamorous. It's not particularly cheap, and it's not always smooth. But it exists, it functions, and it gets you where you need to go--eventually. And in a city where taxis are a relic of the past, that's about as good as it gets.
