However from the items I ordered, 2 have been refunded, another item has been replaced by a completely different product. But I really needed that item! Their website isn't updated as some of the products can be added to the shopping cart even though they are not available. I ordered 9 yogurt and vegan cheese products from this company and paid the expensive shipping to get them to me fast. They decide for all these products to put two small tiny cooling packs and send me 3 products that are near expiry. They put in a cooling wrapping which is utterly useless because there's nothing covering the products with these two tiny packs at the bottom to keep it cooled! I know vegansupply will actually TELL you it's going to expire and discount the item so maybe I'll start shopping there. Even worse at first I thought only 3 of my 9 items had gone bad when I asked for a refund but it was all the cheese, 7 of 9 because they didn't bother to properly ship it too me. Even my yogurt tastes weird. No consideration made at all. My order total for these was almost 140 dollars and the shipping is 23. I made an order before with no issue with putting enough cooling packs, a smaller order that had much more cooling. Nor did I get food two days from expiry with no cooling protection. How wasteful. So the rest of my order is a waste and lost money. Beware shopping from here. I know other people have had bad experiences with being sent products gone bad or too close to expiry to be sold and shipped. It's not difficult to properly package your products consistently and be transparent about expiry dates. At least other companies discount them or tell you beforehand. read more

I've been a customer of Nature Santé in Montreal and have spent quite a bit here over time -- but after my recent experience, I won't be returning. One of the items in my order, a bag of protein powder, arrived cut open and spilling inside the box. I immediately emailed the store with photos. Instead of handling the situation professionally, I was told the slit was "a clean cut" and must have happened after I opened the box myself -- even though the damaged bag was at the bottom under other items, making that explanation impossible. When I called to discuss it, I was met with rudeness and defensiveness. The owner, Francisco, repeatedly interrupted me, refused to consider any possibility that the damage occurred before shipping, and made it clear he wasn't interested in customer satisfaction. My husband joined the call and pointed out that any good business would simply replace the product or write off the loss -- Francisco's response was to argue, say he "didn't care if we ordered again," and only begrudgingly agree to refund the item once we sent it back. It's obvious from several other Yelp reviews that this isn't an isolated incident -- many customers have had the same type of experience with Francisco's attitude and lack of accountability. Nature Santé might have a good selection of products, but good businesses are defined by how they treat their customers when something goes wrong. In that regard, this store fails completely. Francisco doesn't deserve the one star rating, should be a zero but I'm forced too give it to him as the minimum is a one. read more

Stay away from this store! I ordered a few packages of their corn semolina online. First they refunded one without any explanation. After a while as I didn't receive the product I emailed them for status they told me to contact carrier. No tracking number was provided. Eventually when the box arrived half of the packages had the front seal ripped and scotch taped poorly so that semolina spilled all over the box. When I emailed asking for refund on the two defective packages and sent them the photos they replied they would refund it if I sent the product back. I'm in Toronto. They are in Montreal. Unfortunately some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I ordered a bag of 80g of lemon balm and received 35g. When I inquired about it, Julieth (the only member of the "customer service team") seemed unable to understand the issue. In three separate e-mails, they assured me it was the same product. Then they stopped replying. When I took it up again the following week, suggesting a partial refund or store credit, they told me they didn't accept exchanges for opened products. Absolutely terrible customer service. I wanted to return a defective item that I had opened. I discovered its issue within normal usage (silk dental floss). There are some stores that do accept returns on such items so I checked the receipt and store site for their return policy. There wasn't one laid out for in-store purchases. I then spoke with an employee. They admitted that it wasn't clear and suggested I talk to the manager since it's his call. Fair. This manager was completely disrespectful and rude. He would consistently cut me off when I spoke, was blatantly flippant, combative, and tried to blame me for the defectiveness of the product to avoid any responsibility as the manager and self-proclaimed owner of the store. When I called him out on his treatment towards me he denied it and said that I'm the argumentative one. if you want to stick to your store's policy ( that you created!) that's one thing but in no way does anyone deserve to be spoken to like that. Do not recommend at all. It's unfortunate because the rest of the staff is cordial but I cannot in good faith recommend this store to anyone because of the owner's behavior. I frequent these types of places for a couple reasons: 1. My wife has celiacs and requires a gluten free diet 2. The natural and organic food selection is intriguing In Montreal, I particularly prefer Nature Sante. Nature Sante is conveniently located on Queen Mary, directly across from the Snowdon Metro stop. Specifically for gluten free items, they have probably the largest selection around...GF alternative flours for your own bread making, bread crumbs, cereal, bread, pasta, pizza crust, crackers, cookies, etc. Additionally, they have a large bulk food section for rice, quinoa and oatmeal among many others, as well as a wide variety of natural cooking oils like sesame or grape seed that are difficult to find in the common Montreal grocery store. They even have a large display of vitamins, which includes my personal favorite brand, Solgar. The staff is always willing to help and ready to answer any question you may have, and even their prices aren't bad. I personally would much rather support this local business by paying the same price for GF bread as I would across the street at the Metro grocery store. read more

CRIMINAL Customer service. I ordered from them, waiting a WEEK when they said it would be delivered the next day then i get a $20 overweight invoice. After calling and emailing to NO REPLY i finally get them to remove two of my items so it is not overweight and i don't have to pay the fee. Then they say they cannot ship it because it is a thursday but i request them to ship it anywyas and I say I will liable for the damage. THEN they call me and say i must pay the overweight shipping fee even so because now my order is 70$ and i have to pay for shipping (even though I already paid $5 shipping) and they REFUSE to ship it today (it's been two weeks since i ordered it). Then they randomly cancel my order even though i say i will cave and pay the shipping fee and they can ship it on monday. Everyone was SUPER hostile and horrible. NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN! ORDER FROM NATURA MARKET INSTEAD! This was my first time ordering from this place and I had a terrible experience. First my order was supposed to come Friday, doesn't arrive till Saturday (and when it does come on Saturday of course it's later then when they said). But honestly if that was it i wouldn't care at all and even when I dealt with customer service I told them all good it's fine. My order comes and I open the yogurt and am surprised with mold. Then I go to open my case of Olipop, I noticed the box was very dirty and soggy. When I opened it the cans are all dented and sticky and then the 3 in the back are very much covered in Soda. I realized the one in the back cracked from the dents. I threw out the ultra nasty ones and cleaned out the one with the hole so I could take a picture. Anyways super frustrating to finally get my order and half of the items aren't edible. I politely email the customer service letting them know what happened and asking them what they can do for me. They reimbursed the yogurt which is nice and then for the cans they're saying they'll reimburse the broken one. Personally after paying 50$ for a case of fancy Soda pop I'd like non damaged cans, I really don't think that's too much to ask. Anyways I decide to call the store and this is what pushed me over the edge. When I get a hold of Francisco the customer service rep, I tell him hi I'm just calling you back concerning an email. He interrupts me on the defensive and says you have to give 24-48 hours for us to respond. In my head I'm like whoa and I explain to him Im actually just calling because I'm our last email you told me to call the store to speak to you.... He's like oh ok what's your order number so I tell him and then he says yes we'll reimburse the can. I explain to him I actually had to throw out three of them because the ones closest to the ruptured one were covered in sticky Soda and dirt it was gross. He tells me I shouldn't have done that and that I should have kept it all and waited for them to tell me what to do. I say well it was really gross, like I didn't keep the yogurt because it was gross, same with those other nasty cans, like you see the picture imagine Soda spilling everywhere in a closed box. He actually gives me a hard time telling me I shouldn't have done that and says we'll make an exception for you but next time wait for me to tell you what to do with them. After how patient I was with everything, after how many things went wrong, I get told I MESSED UP?! For not keeping the cans? Like WTF, no I'm so sorry for your terrible first experience, no here let's replace the entire case just send back the ones you do have all good, no hey here's 20% off your next order we hope you have a better experience next time. I literally get told I shouldn't have thrown them out, they would have drank a them in store (ew man did you not hear me when I said they were covered in stickiness and dirt) and that ok we'll make an exception and don't do it next time. Francisco there won't be a next time. It takes a lot to get me mad but they definitely pushed me over the edge with this terrible customer service. I understand shit happens with drivers, I understand defective products are sometimes outside of your control but I don't understand crappy customer service. They love to disrespect their customers, it's a very strange business model to see in action. Make sure to check your deliveries to ensure what you receive is actually what you ordered, and not whatever approximations they feel like putting in there instead. I was a loyal customer for several years and had to deal with constant errors in my orders, as well as constant instances of disrespect. Somehow their mistakes are your responsibility to fix. I tried to support this business as they are family-owned and by people of colour (POC) (Peruvian I think). But honestly all of their employees outside of the family members that work there are not POCs. They only hire Caucasian Quebecers which is fine, but that is clearly their preference for their business' ethnic representation. Which means that if you are looking to support local businesses run by POCs, this one should be skipped, as they do not support other POCs. Which is reflected by the lack of diversity in their non-familial employee pool. Rachelle-Bery is a much better choice, they are a Quebec-wide naturopathic chain, their customer service is always on point, and your orders are always accurate there. I do not work for that company, but as a chronic disease sufferer, I am a lifelong naturopathic customer and find that there are never the weird issues at this business, that always seem to occur at Nature Santé. If you wish to find a non-chain naturopathic local businesses, there are also plenty of options available in Montreal, in every neighbourhood which honestly deserve your patronage much more than this one does. read more

I ordered groceries never receiving a confirmation due to a mistake in email address, with a correct phone number and address. Naturally they saw the mistake, didn't acknowledge it or get in touch, charged me for the entire purchase and "delivered it" to my building. I called several days in advance to ask if I needed to advance purchase, I was coming into Montreal for a few days-- they said no it is there. Saturday, product not there. On one of my visits I grabbed a bottle of concentrated peroxide. I didn't notice it was leaking and it stained my hands. It really stung, also the fact that I have eczema on my hands didn't help at all. I immediate notified an employee so no one would get hurt by grabbing that defective bottle. When I told the person in charge he never apologized, just told me it has happened to him. When I asked if I could have a bit of rubbing alcohol to clean my hands, he told me to go to a pharmacy. I had an excellent experience shopping at Nature Sante's online store. I'm a nutritionist from Toronto and was really excited to find a Canadian retailer of products that are not always easy to find. I try to use local/Canadian brands when I can (and Nature Sante carries many of these as well), but I am a huge fan of Vital Proteins collagen and haven't found a comparable Canadian brand. The prices for VP were on par or better than I've seen at other stores. They happened to have a special promotion going on so I took advantage of it, and was really pleased with the customer service. They were really fast to respond to my questions, very friendly and helpful, and they shipped my order almost immediately after I placed it. They included free samples and a personalized note. I also love that they reuse/recycle all their old boxes and papers- a truly environmentally friendly company. read more

By far my favorite health store in Montreal. I moved from Vancouver in 2007 and I was desperately looking to find a store like this. They always have what I'm looking for and even if they don't have it they are always willing to order it for me in reasonable amount of time. If we compare to any other big store in Montreal, their prices are quite decent. I could say they have the best deal in town. On top of that, their staff are most of the time helpful and they always smile to you!!!!... Big plus. I would definitively recommend this store if what you are looking for is best quality, best prices, and friendly staff.
