Horrible experience. I have a beautiful and expensive all white Bernedoodle. Took him in for his appointment only to learn his groomer had quit but I hadn't notified. Decided to give new guy (James) a chance. BIG MISTAKE as he nearly shaved my dog and even did that poorly, very uneven. He didn't clean his ears or teeth as I paid him to and nails are smooth or even. My dog has irritation around his eye and anus from the terrible trim or rather shave job. Mgr, Melissa stated that James didn't know how to look up my pet's previous grooming history with all the notes that clearly state my preferences and what cutting guides to use. So James decided to wing it and do that fastest easiest cut there is, cut them close! However he left his belly hair much longer, didnt attempt to blend his cuts, there are literal cut lines clearly visible, didn't clean or pluck his ears, his face hair and whiskers are randomly cut and he didn't even blow dry him which I specifically stated and requir (FYI, my dog loves being blow dried when done correctly and with heat turned off. We have a pro pet dryer at home) I spoke with mgr and was refused a refund but she offered to try and fix his poor haircut. She admitted to seeing it prior to me picking him up but didn't fix the problem then. She did apologize but told me the owner (Alexis) doesn't allow refunds. This place has experienced a mass exodus of their best and most experienced groomers in recent weeks which suggests there are some serious mgt issues. We've taken our dogs here to see Melissa several times and have no complaints. She was patient and kind with our dog. The front staff also seemed very pleasant. However, the last few times Melissa was unavailable and our dog had to see another groomer. The last two times our groomer was visibly annoyed with us being scheduled and was very short when we dropped off and picked up our dog. This time, I asked the groomer if our dog was bad/ hyper or if they were short staffed and she told me she was overbooked. Ok, I can see that being frustrating. However, when we got home, my dog had a cut on the inside of his leg that we were never notified about. At the very least, that should have been mentioned upon picking up my dog. He won't leave it alone, so I know it's bothering him. I'm very displeased with our last interaction with that groomer and will not be taking our pup back to see her. read more

WARNING...They cut my dog, never informed me, when I called Lisa (the owner), she assured me the groomer said she was perfectly still. However when I picked her up, I was told she needed many puppy breaks. Took her to the vet, and she needed 5 stitches. Lisa said she would cover the vet bill. Then when I reached back out, she sends a sob story about how she is making her employee cover it, and shares personal details about the employees life to guilt me into not pressing the issue further. Months go by of back and forth and she keeps claiming the 'timing' is hard, but assured me I would be reimbursed for the vet bill. One day she claims to call the vet and they told her "it is not a grooming related incident". I call the vet, she never called. The medical notes specifically say it's a grooming cut. My dog wears a wearable health monitor which is what alerted me to the injury, it was in the Green Day's leading up to the incident and skyrockets to a red zone the day after the groom. Lisa lied to me many times, I was never informed of the injury, my loving and trusting puppy couldn't have bolted out of there fast enough, and I have been ghosted by the owner. I do not recommend this grooming business, as the shady practice of the owner does not seem like a safe and loving space for my fur baby. So disappointed, and feel guilty for ever trusting this place with my innocent puppy. read more

Let me explain my dog is old and is a Tibetan terrier, his hair gets tangly and matted which is why I choose to bring him to professionals who should be able to handle grooming dog hair of all kinds. If I could manage on my own then I wouldn't even give you business in the first place. Next topic is spot shaving, usually this does not equate to shaving an entire half of the neck. I gave the ok to the belly, but was never consulted on any other part of his body. If I give ok to this option it does not give the groomer carte Blanche to shave any part they deem "too much work" then claim its impossible matting to your face. Overall grooming, the dog should smell and his hair should look well, not dry and stringy that it looks like all the oils and moisture were taken out of his hair. And there should not remain eye boogers stains. Customer Service: clients should not be reprimanded because they cannot handle long haired dog hair difficulties similar to a humans curly hair difficulties. So many excuses for a hack job. Again, If I could manage on my own then I wouldn't even give you business in the first place. Net net: Owner came out offering free services for later. I got refund for the tip. Should have refunded me entire $65 instead of offering me free services later as I no longer am confident in my dog at Natures Pet. I gave 1 star because I can't give zero read more

He has anxiety and I pre called ahead and informed them of that, when I made the appointment. So naturally my husky saw me walking out the door and tried to follow, you know because he's a husky! I Was told he was unmanageable and I was refused service. Took our standard poodle Daisy here several times. Her first and second groom with Candace seemed great. Candace did a great job (especially w/ a new puppy) and Daisy seemed calm and happy. Then we adopted her brother Teddy and started bringing them both here together. That's when things went down hill. Teddys first groom, he had a bad gash on his neck that I was never addressed at all. We treated it at home for a week. Their next visit, Candace flew out from the back, grabbed their leashes and trotted them both off to the back. When I came to pick them up, Daisy was a different dog. She could not stop panting or calm down and literally collapsed in the car on the way home. She was emotional and clingy for a couple weeks after that. Teddy has another oozing gash on his neck that again, was never addressed. I saw someone else say they found a shock collar on their dog, so I can only imagine this is what happened, I don't know. What I do know is I attempted to call Candace to address this w/ her and was told she was too busy to come to the phone. She texted me later and said she was to busy to talk but what was wrong? I explained the scenario to her and never got a single response. I don't understand how things started off so well and just took a bad turn. Obviously I won't come back here but if you are coming here I would pay close attention to your dogs behavior afterward. We are going somewhere else now and Daisy seems happy and adjusted again. Teddy's neck isn't getting slashed open. I'm sorry to leave this review but they are either greedy and overbooking the groomers or just don't care, I don't know. Lisa, thank you for your reply. I really liked Candace a lot and like I said, Daisy's first grooms were great. It was when Daisy & Teddy started coming together. The second time Teddy's neck was split, it was bad enough I had the vet take a look at it because it was having trouble healing. I wanted to reach out when the incident first happened but my main concern was the dogs and then when Candace never replied to my text I figured what's the point. Please don't take take your dogs here if you actually care about them !!! I would give this zero stars if that was an option. I have had nothing but problems from this place. My dog is very friendly and LOVES people. So when she's backing away from people and trying her best to get out of a place, I know somethings up. I took my dog here 3 times. The first time was great but also wasn't horrible. I figured it was just due to being in a new location/with people she didn't know. The second time, they called me as they were closing up and asked me if I was coming to pick her up... apparently she had been done for a while and nobody called me to let me know she was done. THEN when I finally got there, she was a completely different dog. She was very skiddish, came home panting and wouldn't calm down and shook all night. I called the next day asking if something had happened and was assured that everything went fine during her visit and that there was nothing to worry about. We took a very long break from going to the groomers and did at home trims to keep up with her fur. We brought her in one last time just for a bath to see if she would act the same when we brought her her home. She couldn't get out the door faster, was trembling, and it was very obvious that something was not okay. The second we got home she squatted in the middle of the sidewalk which is extremely unlike her. I called the vet and they told me things to look out for and to monitor her. While I was cooling her down and removing the bandana they put on her I found a shock behavior correcting collar, still powered on, and on the highest setting. To this day I have no clue why they put that collar on her and if they wouldn't notified me that they were going to put a collar on her I would have removed her from their facility instantly. My dog has not been the same from taking her there and the vet thinks it has to do with her grooming visit. Now that she's at a different grooming facility that actually cares for the animals they service, she has gotten a lot better but it's still a challenge to get her to go anywhere that I have to drop her off. read more

Layla took care of my Chuie and did such a great job! My Chuie is a squirmy one during grooming time, but she was able to get his nails down so short! I have to say this time I was quite disappointed. We waited two weeks for Lisa to come back from vacation. I definitely did not mind this as my pup had such a great experience the first time with her. When we got there, instead of trying to work with my pup, the front desk clerk just pulled him back away from us. I could tell he became panicked when this happened. His hair cut quality was not as great this time with uneven sides on his ears. On top of that, when we went to pay, the price was $15 more than the last time we went. Idk if Lisa groomed by pup or not this time as I did not see her but the quality that was there before was not there this time. I came specifically to them because of her experience and the positive reviews for their attention to easily stressed dogs. If I had experienced this instance the first time, I would have never come back. We have taking our Hero to Nature's Pet several times and have always been please with their services. Our groomer has always been Hailey and she dose such amazing job with our baby. The last two time I have asked for a special cut and boy did she nailed it! Not only did he look good but he smelled amazing and the scent that she use last for days (Mind Blown). We have been in searched for a fragrance that goes with our dog and this has been the best scent for him by far and it lasts for days. I went to Ashley, and she is just the sweetest person. She LOVES what she does, and she loves animals. I believe she is also a pet photographer. I took my 17-year-old dog there, who has her old-dog problems, and she knew all my concerns about leaving her alone at a groomer before I even said anything, and she accommodated me accordingly. Bengi (my dog) came out adorable, and extremely happy, so I know she handled her with the utmost care. I've seen other dogs come out of there, and she does a wonderful job. As far as price, I paid $45 for Bengi to be washed, shaved/cut, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, and soaked in a special wash for her dry skin. I think petsmart would have charged me $35. Wonderful! I watched their yellowpages you tube advertisement and saw how beautiful the shih tzus were ... so I booked an appointment! I can't believe that I was able to get in on a Saturday when I called the Friday before! My baby was greeted by the friendly staff, and she particularly loved Heather immediately! I dropped her off at 10am and picked up by 3:15pm...which was nice because I could run errands. My baby was nice and fresh and soooo cute! The attention to detail is amazing! I have been getting her groomed since she was 4 months old and honestly this is the best groom she has every received in the past 3 years! I paid $60 to get the works done for her, even if she is not a show dog. I only get her fully groomed every 4-6 weeks, so it is not bad...it is better than going to petsmart or petco, for sure. I took my 5 yo toy poodle, Ruthie here for the first time after not being able to get an appointment at Petsmart. I am very particular about who cuts her because she is so small so it is easy for her to get nicked. Our first experience here was fantastic and her coat looked great, I would even say the best cut she's had. I was so happy to have found a good groomer since Petsmart was not exactly living up to my expectations. I took her back again and I made sure to ask for the same person as last time although I could not remember her name but the receptionist was able to look up the records and assured me she would be seeing the same person. I went to pick her up and I could immediately tell the cut was different, very uneven with long spots they had missed. Although I was not pleased with the cut I went ahead and paid and drove home. When I got home I noticed there was blood on my shirt and I was freaked out because I had no idea where it was coming from. When I looked over my pup I saw she had a cut on her paw. Of course I understand that this happens and she has been nicked before (usually around her ears since she's a little jumpy around that area) but never bleeding cuts like this and I've always been informed. I drove back and when the groomer came out she made excuses saying she wanted to come out and tell me before and she thought it had stopped bleeding. I asked about a refund since I was also unhappy with the haircut but was told there was nobody there who was able to give me my money back and I would have to call the next day to speak to a manager. Overall it felt as though they were disorganized and nobody had the authority to take care of the situation. I don't feel I'm unreasonable as it would have been okay if they had told me when I picked her up instead of me scrambling to find out where my dog was bleeding from! If I go back, which I'm sad to say is unlikely, I will have to be positive that it is the same person who groomed her the first time. As I'm sure like most of you, my fur-baby's safety and comfort is top priority even if I have to settle for a less attractive haircut. read more

I've been here before and today's visit was NOT good. My little puppy was quickly whisked away without meeting the groomer. This is a drastic change from the last time we came and were able to meet with the groomer and talk about what we want to be trimmed. When we were called to pick him up, we still did not get any warmth from the desk person. Upon arrival at home, we found out he had a cut on his scrotum from the trim they gave him. You can see where the tines tore into his skin, poor baby. I do not think I would be so mad if the desk person or the groomer had told me he was hurt. I understand that accidents happen. It's infuriating that they did not mention anything. I definitely have a picture of the injury and I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was going to this place monthly for a year. They changed the price every time I went in even though it was the same groomer. One time my baby had gotten very matted and desperately had to be shaved, but they returned him to me saying they would only take him on a sedative which they preferred a specific brand which the vets did not feel comfortable giving to my dog. After this fiasco and catering to the spas needs they took my dog, and shaved him to his skin, even cut a chunk of his ear off (weird since he was unconscious) which they didn't even have the decency to tell me about. Reluctant I had contacted again about scheduling a bath a month later to find that the groomer blocked my cell number. Not sure what business model changes their prices to take advantage of local students nor informs owners of harm caused. I would not recommend this pet spa even though it came highly recommended to me. They don't care about the dogs just the $$$ read more
