I've walked by this pharmacy countless times on my way back from the 7 train and yet never stopped in. Today not only did i stop in for a prescription, but i was SENT there by CVS down the street and so glad they introduced me to this place, because it.is.a.gem. Fun fact: CVS has some sort of partnership with this local (read: not a big chain) pharmacy - so not only were they able to fill my Rx but they did it at the similar rates as down the street. The pharmacists were busy but the female pharmacist was super helpful, took the time to explain the drug and which generics could be easier on the wallet next time and even offered to call my doc to get that in instead. While i waited, i realized this place has evuh-ry-thing. From Legos and toys for the kids, from bodega-y to organic foods, to hard-to-find natural and organic brands, this place is magical. I saw some skincare brands that i can usually only find online because the CVS's of the world don't carry them. It's a pharmacy, prices are reasonable and also, you're supporting a small business so really, win-win here. Definitely recommend it as your local spot. read more

I've been shopping here for about 5 years. I spend hundreds of dollars a month on supplements and other items so the cashier that's usually in the front knows me and he is always very professional and nice. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), I haven't had much experience with the pharmacists so they don't know who I am. But as of late the cashiers have been busy, so I've been placing specialty orders with the pharmacists. Each time I have to place an order or ask the pharmacist questions, I am greeted with a dismissive attitude or straight up ignored. They only seem to perk up when they realize how much money I'm spending. Today, the woman pharmacist was clearly on a personal phone call and blatantly ignored me for 10 minutes. And when the cashier finally caught her attention, she acted like I was bothering her with my inquiry. All I wanted to know was whether or not my order had arrived. But because she didn't recognize me, I was a nuisance and I wasn't worth her time. It seems like if the pharmacists are unsure whether or not you're going to spend money, then you're not important to them. I also can't help but think it's racial profiling because I've never seen any white customers have to deal with terrible service like this. If this is how they treat long term customers/people of color, I cannot continue giving them my business nor will I be able to recommend them. Although it is cheaper to order supplements online, I enjoy supporting local/small businesses. But if it's less aggravation to shop elsewhere, I guess that's what it's come to. read more

They went above and beyond for me. I had a special request and they helped. I got my medications transferred with no issue. Everyone who works here is nice. They follow the HIPPA laws which makes me happy. Some places don't and scream out your medications. They have a great selection of vitamins and natural products. They remind me of mom and pop stores. Very family oriented vibe in this location. They answered all the questions that I had. They aren't open on Saturdays. Did you know they deliver? Yes, they do. They also let you know that you have medications ready by calling you up. A lot of pharmacies do not go the extra mile that they do. I hope to be doing business with them for years to come. For an independent pharmacy they have a lot of cosmetics. I especially love the sale table that's a great table if you love a sale. The sales have random items on them but its nice how organized they are. The have other selections in the store like creams, shampoo, cards, medical supplies and much more. They do have a notary which is cool and you can also make copies here. If you have children they will be happy to know they sell these cool activity books. This place really caters to the locals. They are literally up the block from the Vernon 7 train station.The upkeep to the store is very clean and everything is in order. I prefer them over Duane Reade because if they don't have something they order it for you. They also carries a broad range of herbs, holistic and homeopathic remedies, as well as organic and gluten free products, as well as surgical supplies. What pharmacy do you know caters to you this way? I do not know of a pharmacy like it especially an independent one. They always remember my first name whenever I come in. I just appreciate their level of care that they provide. And the store is very long with some natural products I haven't heard of. I came in this morning as the store opened for a PCR test. There were several customers at once, but the person working was incredibly patient and tried to answer everyone's questions while also fielding incoming phone calls. I was able to get my test after a very brief wait at a time when most places are at capacity. Very smooth experience. read more

I usually don't go in for homeopathy, so I entered Nature's Prescriptions as a skeptic, not sure what I would find. They won me over immediately with the large selection of high-quality toys and baby products. The store has children's books, toys, diapers, baby ointments, and gift-wrapping supplies -- all products that are **desperately** needed here in the cradle of Queens. They even carry Haba toys!! Haba is my favorite toy brand, with beautiful high-quality wooden toys for babies on up. Check out the amazing "First Orchard" game for ages 2+ that this store carries - best game for teaching young kids about games, ever. My husband and I had been wanting to find a local alternative to Duane Reade because they still sell cigarettes. I stopped by this new store (Nature's Prescriptions) in LIC today and met Jonathan and the pharmacist Maya. I was so impressed!! They were super helpful, and quite neighborly to boot. The location is kinda great for stopping by on your way home from the 7 Train/Vernon Jackson stop if you live anywhere near Center Blvd. When I asked about a holistic treatment for my nagging post-cold cough, they declared: "you've come to the right place!" The pharmacist turned me onto Chestal made by Boiron, a producer of great homeopathic products. (I already love oscillococcinum). And she even recommended taking a tsp of good olive oil, which I understand is a common treatment in Spain. They have a very nice selection of naturopathic products and some foods as well, and if needed, the pharmacy delivers. (I'm sure there's more but I didn't stay to browse.) Went to the urgent care 2 doors down and was sent here to pick up my prescriptions. Very nice staff. Very informative and didn't mind being asked a question or 2. Very quick in and out situation. Only weird part was that a gentleman behind the pharmacy counter kept staring at me, and watched my every move. Made me a little uncomfortable to say the least. read more

What a find! We were visiting NYC from LA. First day here and my daughter gets a full-on fever, flu. Searched Yelp for "holistic pharmacies" and many popped up but when I started calling them I quickly found out that many were using the "holistic" word but carried a very very small variety of holistic meds. Thank goodness I found Nature's Prescriptions ! They are just one stop on the 7 from Grand Central Station and the store is FILLED with a huge variety of holistic meds for children and adults. Once I exited off Vernon they were literally a half block away. Very organized and clean store. The pharmacist also gave me a handful of samples. We love everything about the place except the name. To my opinion it has been poorly chosen, it does not reflect at all the diversity and the quality of this new addition to the community. They have roughly all we have been missing in LIC for the past years and I always enjoy going there with my wife or Maxime because 90% of the time I will find what we were looking for. The selection is wide, that could be an inconvenience, but I must say whatever they have, has been carefully and perfectly selected to fit all our needs. The toy section is not only Maxime's favorite, it has definitely solved all my previous troubles for finding the right gifts for him or his friends for all occasions. Pricing is good and you will find everything from plastic to wood so something for everyone. The balloons selection saved already many times my life for the last second gift. My wife loves the beauty products and the great selection of cosmetics they offer. I love the food section that gives me the chance to find things I had to go to Grand Central before. This pharmacy is the go to pharmacy in the neighborhood. I always come here to pick up my medications and even little things for my family or dog. They have a small section for pets like toys and things like that. This is a good mom and pop store that carries almost anything and everything. I love how they have holisitc medications that are all natural and organic. I am not a huge fan when it comes to taking cough medications or antibiotics so I always try taking natural things first. Maya and Arthur are the best. I came in for a cough and asked for their advice about what I should do and Maya recommended elderberry tea to try to soothe my bronchioles. I did the trick. My cough was gone in 2 days without having to take an antibiotic. They are very helpful and knows what they are doing and what they recommend. Everyone in this store is very helpful.
