First time and we arrived by boat to boot. Nice little area down by the water to enjoy food and drink. The inside of the place isn't overly big, but they do have a larger attached area that's enclosed that can accommodate more people. The staff was friendly and the food came out quick enough. They will bring the food down to you if you're eating dockside. Pretzel appetizer was good and the pizza wasn't bad, could've used a tad more sauce. The menu, the prices, the ambiance is all what you would expect from a place such as this. Not sure how often I'll be back, but I enjoyed trying it out. read more

Have visited here multiple times over the years and the food has been so much better, this last visit we ordered veg. pizza and pickled cheese curds, pizza was very bland and maybe a bit over cooked and the curds were not any better, somewhat chewy, we have had other pizzas and apps before that were very good. Third time here , unfortunately I live to far away to get here often but it's a neat place to have a drink and set by the lake. They have a nice patio to relax on and watch the people and boats . The wine is good and they added another patio up on street level so you don't have to do the stairs but can still see the lake . There are tables inside too read more

First and last time at this winery. Reserved the wine bubble and there was a $25 fee to reserve and their website stated that $20 would be refunded and would go towards the bill. When the bill came I asked if the $20 was refunded and put towards the bill, the cashier said no, we stopped doing that last year. I let her know it was on the website and she asked me to pull it up. I go to the website to pull it up, guess what they removed it. How would I have known about the $20 refund towards the bill if it was not on their website when I reserved the wine bubble. I would not have paid $25 just to sit in a bubble outside when I could have sat in the inside for free. They advertise this "wine bubble experience", but It was an experience worth zero dollars and yet they charge $25 to sit in it. The only thing that made sitting in the cold fun was spending time with my friends. Stood around and waited for about 10 minutes before they took us to the wine bubble. We get in there and it's cold. They didn't even preheat the bubble knowing we had a reservation. There were 2 heaters in there, but only 1 worked so we had to keep our coats on the whole time because it wasn't warm enough to take it off. Although it probably would have been if the second heater in there worked. Now the food, ordered a meat and cheese appetizer and that was fine. Ordered tater tot appetizer and they were barely warm as if it sat waiting to be brought out to us. Also ordered 2 types of pizza and the pizza was also barely warm. Beautiful venue on the southern point of Portage Lakes. They have an extensive multi-level patio plus a nice covered area. Wines, beer and food available. We had beer from neighboring brewers Mucky Duck and a glass of cab to go along with fold overs. Very tasty. We'll try more wines the next time we visit. read more

Stopped here on a whim after going on a train ride in Akron. Cousin had recommended it. Simply a gorgeous day, perfect weather. Got the Caramel vodka hot cider, meat & cheese plate, and hot pretzels. Tastings: $1 each or do 3 for $5 and get a free wine glass. *they will also give you a free "splash" if you are just trying to decide which what you'd like for a glass or bottle. We tried: Cabernet, Merlot, Pinot Noir We ended up getting a bottle of the Pinot Noir and sat outside in the heated part of their patio. I wish it had been nicer out so we could have enjoyed their beautiful lake views! But I am so glad they had part of the patio enclosed with heaters so we could still sit outside. They have plenty of outdoor seating and even an area down the hill right by the water. I would love to spend an evening down there! The inside was nice too and had a fireplace. They also had games under some of the tables to play as well. We also ordered the Caprese pizza which was quite yummy. However, it is a thinner crust pizza so not the most filling. It came out very quick! We loved the big chunks of mozzarella and whatever was drizzled overtop (I forget what it was called now). This was defiantly one of my favorite wineries we visited. Love this winery! Love coming here to relax with a beverage and watch the sun set over Portage Lakes. It's definitely a low key place if you want to get away from places with more of a hustle and bustle. Besides the sunset other views are wildlife you don't normally see and boaters. My usual is the Nauti bucket because I am into sweeter wines (if you have a low tolerance you can definitely split this beverage). They also have a pretty good food menu. My favorites to get are their lobster pizza and soft pretzel sticks (the beer cheese is to die for!). Even if you come here in the evening they have a fire pit and heated lamps. Unfortunately, their seating is pretty limited due to COVID. They have a small parking lot so more often than not I have to park at the shopping plaza across the street (reason for my 4 stars). But the staff are so friendly and helpful. They even have a can of the good bug spray if you're getting bit by bugs at twilight. This is such a wonderful business and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing atmosphere. I recommend this place even more if you're an avid boater looking for a pit stop! read more

Delicious pizzas that are the perfect thin, crispy crust. Amazing toppings on all of them. Last I went we got the buffalo chicken, bbq brisket, and caprese. All of them tasted amazing, the only issue was the caprese, cheese wasn't melted quite enough, but it tasted so good it was hard to complain. Plenty of wines to choose from that are all delicious, maybe a little sweet for some, but very good. Also plenty of beer to choose from a local brewery called the Mucky Duck. All very delicious. The WINE definitely did not meet my expectations. First off, they don't even grow their grapes here. This place actually buys their grapes from different states around the country and then makes their wine locally. That's the only local part. This was super disappointing to hear. Additionally, most of their wines were mixed or infused with some fruit juice like blackberry or apple, etc. I came here looking to try new wines, not fruit juices. But I guess if you like super sweet fruit juice wine... Anyways, since it was my first time here, I ordered two flights of wine. Each flight gave you 3 samples for $5. I did a flight of reds, which included pinot noir and cab sauv and I did a flight of whites, which included chardonnay, riesling, and moscato. None of these were particularly noteworthy. And several of them tasted like sugary water. I even ordered the dry wines that were noted on their menu. The FOOD took an hour. We ordered a pizza right when we got in. This pizza was underwhelming and took an hour and wasn't even hot when we got it. Not sure what went wrong in this process. The pizza was super thin crust (great if you like crunchy and super low carb), but it was just disappointing when we received it and it was cold/seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. Others seemed to be waiting a while for their pizzas as well. Honestly, for $12 I would have rather made it myself. I could have run home to make it myself and then come back... The SERVICE was unimpressive. I just wanted to note that it's basically self serve. After ordering my flight of 6 wines, I carried them out individually by myself. No tray available, and no one helped. No one even helped open the door, even though it was clear that the door was heavy and I was struggling. I came to this winery excited to learn more about the local wines, asking questions about their wines, and the server gave me their menu. When I asked questions about the wine list, I was given short answers, so I stopped trying to engage. The LOCATION is by portage lakes and offers a nice view. There is a good amount of outside seating and if you keep walking out, there's a patio and a downstairs area right by the lake. Also, beware of mosquitos! The VIEW of sunset over the lake was super pretty and a nice way to enjoy the summer weather! read more

This is probably going to end up my new favorite winery. It's centrally located in portage lakes which is close to Akron, green, north canton, canal fulton etc. and right on the lakes! For $5 you get a wine tasting glass and 3 samples, if you like white wine the skinny mermaid is by far my favorite! They also do wine slushees, and if you aren't a fan of wine or have someone in your group who isn't they do slushees with rum as well. We went to Nauti Vine Winery on a Saturday afternoon in May, 2018 to buy a gift card for our real estate agent (and enjoy the wine and the view of Portage Lakes.) My husband and I both love wine and beer so we were excited to taste the offerings as well as make our purchase. There was a line for tasting service the entire 2 hours we were there. We were lucky to nab a high-top table near the 2-story stone fireplace. I'm a sucker for decor so the bar-stools we were perched on didn't escape my notice. They were made of wine barrel slats and metal straps. There was a selection of board games stashed under the table (which we didn't play, but plenty of other patrons did!) The pristine vaulted ceilings and paintings reminded me of an art museum. Who doesn't want to taste wine in an art museum? The grounds surrounding the terraced property are gorgeous! We also noticed an arbored area along the lake that can be reserved for a wedding or reception. It's beautiful here! The winery offers the requisite Ohio sweet wines, however Nauti Vine has utilized juices from out-of-state which afford them the ability to offer patrons dry wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot! Their wines appeal to seasoned wine drinkers as well as newbies. Furthermore, they have a generous selection of micro-brews from the Mucky Duck Brewery - which is located in the basement of the winery. I LOVED the dry merlot which had heavy oak notes and smokiness. We didn't order food so I cannot attest to the taste, but the plates we saw that were served to fellow patrons looked amazing! Everyone around us raved about the food. The staff was attentive and friendly. The staff also suggested nearby stores that offered beers that they were out of that particular day. We will DEFINITELY return to Nauti Vine to have a romantic date night or to take in a sunset on the dock or to spend time with friends and family! read more

I have to tell you this winery is wonderful! The views are over one of Portage Lakes with the boats and the winery is on top of the bluff looking over the lake. There is seating inside and out on the deck and also down below on the lake. Tonight they have a live guitar player inside and he's playing a nice selection of easy listening of the 70's, 80's and 90's. The prices are reasonable for both the wine and the beer. Nice selection and microbrew beer as well. They have snacks and a few different pizza dishes. We had the cheese and pepperoni dish. It hit the spot. Dusk was settling and they started the open pit fire and it was awesome. My wife loved it. The service was good. So it has been a great evening here and we would definitely come back again! read more

There are both pros and cons to coming to the Nauti Vine. The location and decor make you feel comfortable and relaxed, whoever decorated this place gets kudos from me. My party and I ordered a flat bread pizza to share, which was really tasty but definitely could be devoured by one person alone (especially after a couple glasses of wine...) The wine was mediocre, especially compared to other wineries in the area. You could probably get the same quality from a cheap grocery store bottle, for about the same price as one of their single glasses, but then again you're also paying for the ambiance of the place, which is quite lovely. I came in during the day on Sunday, and let me say my biggest disappointment was the staff there. The two women behind the counter seemed to not have much of an idea of what was going on. They weren't rude, but definitely not diligent in their service which was funny to me since their were only two parties of four there, and just weren't the level of friendly that I think should be expected when you're paying 6 dollars for glorified juice and ten dollars for a plate of basic cheese cubed up with some broken crackers from a tupperware container. All in all I would say there are some serious kinks to be worked out, but I think in a couple months when it starts running as a more cohesive business it would be well worth the trip, especially because of the breathtaking view. read more

The scenery and ambiance get 5 stars, but the wine is TERRIBLE. If your going to be a wine bar/winery, you might want to make sure that the thing your specializing in is top notch. It's the ONE thing that should be stellar. Unfortunately, I feel like the decor and scenery is trying to distract you from how bad what your drinking really is. I was here with a party of about 14 people and we ordered about 6 varieties (bottles) for everyone to sample. I sampled a total of 3 wines, only drank about a total of 3 ounces of wine, and couldn't even attempt to try the other three they were all so bad. The pizza looked really good and everyone said it was delicious, but I already ate dinner and didn't try any. It took an unusually long time for it to come out, though. The wine made me terribly sick, I started to get a terrible headache while we were still there and got physically ill once I got home before I even made it in the door. I wonder if you can bring your own wine, pay a corking fee, and enjoy the scenery? That's the only way I'd stop back. Such a shame, I was really excited for this addition tho the lakes. read more

This was my first visit to the Nauti Vine and it was ok...We had a hard time finding parking on a Sunday afternoon and wine was good but it took over 1.5hours and 2 bottles of wine to get our pizza and bread sticks when my husband asked the bar maid about how much longer our order would be they told us they lost the order.. They did apologize and bought my husband a beer which was nice... Once we received our order it was very good but was disappointed with being so disorganized for a place that pretty busy all the time... We will maybe come back but there are alot of nice wineries close to us so I probally would go to one of them before trying here again... read more

My wife and I went there a few weeks ago and were surprised to see how busy the place was! We had to park at the shopping center across the street; pretty crazy considering they just opened. We went in and got a bottle of sweet red wine, which was exceptionally good. The atmosphere there is really nice; everything is well designed and looks brand new. They also have a few outdoor areas where it looks like you can bring in your own food (although the bar does serve some meat and cheese trays). We also got a bottle of white wine to go, which was good as well. We're already planning on bringing some friends back here - GREAT hangout spot. The wine was pretty inexpensive compared to what most places charge. Beware that they are open only a limited amount of days during the week. read more

We arrived around 6:30. We ordered two food dishes and drinks. We waited an HOUR for one of food items to come out. After an hour and 20min we asked the bartender about the second item. She said she would replace the order for the second item and it was on its way. Another 25 minutes goes by and still no food... we go back up to ask the bar tender about the second food item and she said the kitchen was down and it's not possible to make it. We waited 2 hours for one food item!!! That is OUTRAGEOUS! After explaining the situation to them several times, they only offered a refund on the second food item... we stayed a whole extra hour waiting for the second food item that never came.. more should've been done. Went there last night for the 1st time and I won't return. The staff were rude upon arrival. Sat on the upper deck because I am unable to go down the many many steps to the lower deck,Tiki Bar. Basically self-service, except they do deliver your food minus utensils, unless you ask for them. Tastings were not available, told my daughter due to Covid-19 (?). The Caprese pizza was so overwhelmed with mozzarella that that's pretty much all it was. The meat & cheese platter had plastic wrap over it with a date written on of 5 days before and all the cheese had a layer of white on it, which means that it is OLD. great local winery. now although they are not able to grow their own grapes. they bring in grapes from California and Washington state and all over and make their own wines. over the last few years they have really made great improvements offering dry wines. their stone pizzas are fabulous and change. They have the best deck and lovely view of the lake and you can sit out and enjoy a bottle of wine and take in the view. loved visiting in October and being able to sit outside and watch the sun set. enjoy a wonderful Pizza and bottle of wine. the staff are knowledgeable and love their wines. don't forget to try a homemade cookie or two. read more
