This place isn't far from the house and has been on the brewery list for awhile; so when we drove by on a lazy Sunday, it was an easy decision to make a stop. Bartender was very friendly. Atmosphere was fun and relaxed with a few TVs and arcade games, various types of seating and plenty of windows to watch the world go by. Sampled a few before deciding on the 25,000 Lights Christmas beer. It has a smooth subtle spiced flavor, much less obnoxious than many other Christmas ales. Served at the perfect temp and the sugared rim is a must -do. They have a menu that looks pretty interesting. Next time I'll order some food and the berry sour. read more

We've been wanting to pop in here for quite a while now, so when we were passing by after a day of shopping, we made a sharp u-turn and parked the car. The bartender was super friendly as we decided which beer to have. I went with the berried sour and it was fantastic!!! I also tried the 23,000 twinkle lights. I'm not a huge Christmas ale fan but this one was tasty. The space was very big and I liked that they had both arcade games and board games to add to our experience. Good selection of micro brewed beers. I like the mosaic IPA, 7 % ABV. The mushroom Swiss flatbread was good with a lot of mushrooms and cheese. It is self service where you order at the bar. Ambiance is fair and it can get loud. read more

Nice micro brewery in downtown Akron. They have a small but eclectic number of tap handles featuring their beer. We sampled a few beers and enjoyed them all. The beer seems well crafted and many styles are covered. Hold Mudic Limbo was my favorite: a hazy New England style IPA that was juicy and with low bitterness. Although they have only a few items food-wise, they have partnered with the neighbor restaurant next to them and ordering from there is encouraged. We, of course, cozied up the bar, which is the BEST! We found Eighty-Three Brewery by its already amazing reviews, and the idea that it was in the old Goodyear factory. Eighty-three Brewing does not need me! They hold their own! Matt, the absolute love behind the counter, allowed samples " before we committed". Being IPA kids, we were smitten with the star hitters on the board - "Who are The Beer Police" both made me laugh AND filled my pint glass! My Ran enjoyed the Octoberfest on tap, as well as an American IPA, the Anniversary Special (Hurry! When it is out, it is out!). It, too, was really special. Brewed with a variety of hops, your mouth had a whole party of flavors that were "hoppin'"! Of course, that pun was intended! With all that beer, we thought a delicious sandwich was in order. Great brewery! Stopped in as part of the summit brew path 2021 and enjoyed my time here very much. I decided on a flight and enjoyed each one of the brews..my favorite was "Better than Gold" (non-cask version). A little tip as the GPS sometimes redirects you to the wrong location and they are a little hard to find. Nice and relaxed brewery with great food options. Got a burger and really enjoyed it. My husband got a Reuben and it was fantastic. He also got loaded tots and they were to die for. Hit up 83 for the Summit Brew Path. Decor reminds me of that Solo Jazz design on disposable cups back in the 90s, but with a fresh modern twist to it, if that makes sense? Large open space so you can spread out (no Covid fears). Staff is friendly and helpful. I tried the Cucumber in Paradise $3, the Quixotic $3.50, and the Beach Ball Pool Party $2.50. While I was not much of a fan of the beers I sampled, I did like that they had distinct flavors to them. No Natty Light up in here, instead you've obviously got some creative brewers. I will say that the cucumber gose did make me pucker at first, but it grew on me, and I was won over at the end. read more

New brewery that just opened up in the area. I came with a friend on a Friday afternoon to check out the place. There's a ton of seating available. Parking seems to only be the street, which isn't super crowded. But I can only wonder what happens when there's more people and that one block around Goodyear is full...? But that's not an issue yet I guess. The place is set inside the old goodyear building, cool space in an old building. There's an area for board games and old arcade games. My friend and I shared a flight of beers. We tried the pumpkin stout, american amber, champagne ale, and a porter. We also ordered a pretzel to share. Just a heads up, there's basically no food here. They only have microwavable food, which is stated on the menu. They have a selection of microwaveable pizzas, pretzel, and pigs in a blanket. So we definitely knew the food was microwaved, but our pretzel tasted half microwaved...it came out a little slimey and half frozen... Hopefully this place gets some real food soon, that would be a nice addition so you can actually hang out and grab food after work. read more

Tucked away in the renovated and re-purposed Goodyear headquarters building, this microbrewery pours about 10 drafts, flights $10-$12, definitely worth a stop. Guest tap for cider from Madmoon too. Restaurant opening next door early 2020 so soon there will be food with your beer. I was a big fan of the dark lager and the Jamaica stout, both yummy. Makes a Pilsner to but it wasn't on tap that day argh. There is a private lot next to the building where you can park, not just the street. Bring food! read more

I've been here a few times. I'm a local Akronite. Stopped by today with 2 young adults(daughter and her BF)1st post Covid visit. I want to say the beer was bad because of the service but ALL the beer was really good. And we got twice the beer we wanted cuz of the online ordering QR code thingy....we complied with the implied way of ordering, through the QR code online thing.. there was 1 guy at the bar and the 3 of us sat literally 10 feet away from the bar and were the only other people on there. Ordered 2 flights and one beer/got 1 beer and 3 flights(1 duplicate flight). Server was like "Well Ha-Ha you already paid for it!" How hard would have it been to ask the ONLY table in there 10 feet away from you if you meant to order 2 duplicate flights. So then I bought some bagged nuts for $2.50. They were 1/2 the size bag of the one that's displayed on the wall!! I wanted the bigger one. Didn't even ask! I support and tip well at ALL my fave AK places. I have been coming to this brewery regularly since they opened a year ago and it is fantastic. I can't speak to all of the beers, but their IPAs and stouts are some of the best I've ever had. The space is beautiful and there is always free parking available. If you haven't tried the night waves stout, you should. It's spectacular. read more
