Not a bad…read moreidea because it makes things convenient but this particular counter is located right behind the registers where people are trying to get out. It gets extremely crowded at times and with the people trying to get out of the store and others trying to get to the bank tellers it can get totally chaotic. This is probably the worse place in the whole store to put the bank. Part of the problem is that people finish their shopping and try to negotiate a heavy carriage of groceries into the bank lines. Not a good idea. I don't know how many times I have had a foot run over by some idiot trying to push a carriage into a small roped off line. Plus the courtesy is right next to the bank and again behind the registers, so you literally have to fight you way through little kids running around and old ladies just standing in the way with blank looks on their faces to get into a bank line. The actually bank tellers have always been polite and quick if not particular friendly. How could they be with all this chaos going on around them. Even though at quiet times this bank location can be convenient I usually prefer to go to one of the other branches. The screaming kids and vacuous old ladies are just too much for me.

As a member…read moreof the RI Credit Union Connection, I am able to utilize this location fee-free with my ATM card from an alternate RI-based credit union. Great deal! The drive-up banking and ATM is up the hill a bit from the actual Ocean State Credit Union office; this makes driving in the entrance and exit to this area a breeze! Perhaps avoid a visit on icy days as there is a decent degree of incline to access everything. Within the last year or so the, drive-up ATM here was upgraded to a newer model. Screen is easy to read and I can easily pull up and reach all the buttons in my lower-to-the-ground vehicle. The machine is under cover so you can remain relatively dry on rainy days. Seemingly popular location depending on the time of day but the line usually progresses quickly. I recommend this ATM location if you are in need!

Unfortunately, I was in a hurry. . . took my cash and rushed out. It was only until later I realized they shorted me $50. I called the bank immediately (5 minutes before they were set to close) and explained the situation. The teller was helpful in saying he'd check with the other employee's drawers at close to see if anyone was over. To my dismay, the following day I received a call explaining that all the drawers came out even and that there was nothing else they could do. I was furious!!! I was absolutely positive, without a doubt that I had been shorted. I simmered in anger for a few days. That was, until I received a letter in the mail saying my account had been credited $50 for a mistake made on their part. Amazing!!! Yaaaay! Glad things were fixed without my even having to push the higher ups to correct their mistake. The bank redeemed themselves in my eyes because I was on the verge of transferring my funds to another bank (not just due to this situation but from service rendered overtime through many different branches). At least I can be assured this bank is trustworthy in a sense.

Yes, they do offer mobile banking and bill pay but it's a lot slower and not user friendly. With today's world, everything revolves around debit purchases and is fast paced. It took them two weeks to get our debit cards to us and two weeks to get bill pay working correctly. I will be looking to switch again very soon.

Thankfully, Adam is always there and I didn't need to make an appointment. I went to Chase later on the same day and got my document notarized. Unless she's on the phone, expect a warm greeting. She always has something for the kids, sticker, lollipops, and last time we were in, silly bands. No matter how long the line is, the wait is never bad. There are always plenty of tellers working. They offer truly free banking and I love them for it. I will continue to do my banking here and be treated like a king.
