All of the coaches and staff at Naydenov are amazing people. I've been bringing my daughter here since she was 3. She started with Coach Chris. He's the best. I've never seen a coach who is so great, funny and patient with the kids. Additionally, I've had the chance to observe other coaches teaching styles. Specifically, Coach Allie. She teaches some of the teams (older girls). I appreciate how stern she is while also being fair. I hope that when my daughter becomes older that she'll have the chance to be coached by her if she sticks with gymnastics. All in all, Naydenov has been a great experience. Our Granddaughter takes lessons here and the coaches are terrific, she has learned so much and has a terrific time! We have also done her last two birthday parties here and I cannot recommend them enough! You get a Large room with plenty of space for kiddo's and parents who want to stay. A coach is in the gym with the kids making sure everyone is safe and having a great time. There is something for every kiddo to do, this is the BEST venue. UPDATE last night my kiddo who has Coach Chris learned such a valuable life lesson in addition to gymnastics.! Chris challenged all the kids to achieve a goal, if they made it they got a cash reward. Well last night for the first time ever, a child made the goal! It's a great lesson for children to see why it's important to practice and achieve what you have been working toward. Preschool: My five year old attended the last two years of preschool here and we both loved it. The teachers are kind and really worked with our family that needed extra support. Even though we missed the last few months of preschool because of Covid the teachers stayed in contact and as we head into Kindergarten it is very evident that she is well prepared for a successful transition and the teachers provided her with a solid foundation of the skills required for learning. I'm not sure if Mrs. Heather and Mrs. Ruth are able to do preschool this year, it would be devastating to families to not have them as an option for preschool in the future. They made such an impact on our family we will remember them and visit them often. Birthdays: Hosted my five year olds party here right before covid hit. For $18 my friends and I got 3 hours on the gyms endless trampolines, uneven bars, dance mats, multiple foam pits, and more! This place is really fun and I definitely plan on coming again even if it is a drive from my house. You sign a waiver and put your stuff in a locker after paying, they do a quick tutorial/rule speech before letting everyone loose. Friday night was decently crowded, but the 3 of us still had plenty of room and were able to go on the equipment we wanted. The older teens and young adults watching everyone were friendly and professional (and were fun too) so it was great o go to a gym where they don't yell at you for every little thing...Naydenov is a great place whether you're a gymnast or just a first timer, recommend! read more

I have to say that taking gymnastics three times a week (each class is one hour) has been life changing for our 8 year old! She's developed a passion for physical fitness, and a desire to improve her skill level while understanding the ONLY way to do that is to PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!! I've attended every single class, and enjoy watching & supporting ALL the kids in the class, with applause and encouragement. BTW it is very disappointing to observe 99% of parents NOT watching their kids, because they'd rather be on their phone the entire class!! Don't they realize these are the moments that are SPECIAL, and they'll be GONE before you know it?? (Stepping down from soapbox now!) She's found some great coaches, like Mr. Richard, Lathan, and Miss Eliza (hope I've not butchered their names too badly!). Each of her Coaches has a different style, which has meant a comprehensive education. Coaches treat the kids like athletes, holding them accountable for proper technique, though never critical of HOW they actually perform, making it clear that listening, paying attention, and making an honest effort every time is whats valued in this setting. The skills WILL come with practice. The kids ALWAYS start with warm up exercises, and end with strength and conditioning, like sit-ups, push-ups,and pull-ups (on the parallel bars). I've watched her go from 5 to 10 to 15 or more of each!! ****Full disclosure:There was one female coach that we observed that was not a good teacher per se, so after 4 classes with her, we simply switched to another day of the week, so the problem was easily fixed!** I wasn't sure how Beginners/ Girls classes would work, given the wide range of ability levels within each class, and kids are constantly joining throughout the session, so sometimes classes include stopping to let the new kids "catch up" with some one-on-one time with the Coach. But I've decided this is an important lesson for the kids, too--showing them that "everybody counts/everybody matters"! It's great that all the kids get to work out alongside gymnasts that are MAJOR athletes, with incredible skills. It's a sight to behold, and so inspirational for the newbies. Our little girl is taking her classes very seriously, and practices at home and in a nearby gym in between her gymnastic classes. For $130 a month, we are beyond thrilled! AND the gym has set up an inflatable water slide that is available to the kids EVERYDAY after class, all summer long!! The 2 negatives, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5?1) Everyday when we walk into class, we are greeted by warm smiles AND the smell of dirty feet!!! The overall cleanliness of the place is a wee bit questionable, and the bathrooms are too small and too "open" for my comfort level. The kids are required to work out barefoot,which I'm fine with......but I carry a spray bottle of isopropyl alcohol and wipes with me, and after class I wipe her feet and hands down plus she showers as soon as we get home AND her clothes must be washed after every class!! 2) Sometimes there isn't enough space for the class to work out, and it's often because of the "mommy and me" type open-session classes that can run concurrently with structured classes. There can be 15 toddlers and their parents taking up more than 1/2 the space allotted for the kids in class, so the students end up "cartwheeling" into each other!! I like this place a lot but it does smell pretty bad I haven't been here in a bit but last time I went is was amazing the people there are super nice and they have a Selection of gymnastics clothing and dip and dots my child loves dip and dots and I signed her up and she loved it there it does smell pretty bad but what do you expect with children running around all the time with no socks or anything on their feet Nathan off is a really good place I do recommend it! This is a wonderful establishment. My family has rented out the building for numerous events and the staff has been so helpful. The building was very clean and sanitized. The staff and their so to call professional coaches are not what they say they are ;( they invite little girls and make it sound good until one day they destroy her dreams! I made mistake of keeping my child for so long until they destroyed her;( there are other gyms out there that care about ur child and not the coaches reputation if their team is good or not. These people r selfish and have no compassion for children. I am glad and blessed to have my child out of there and somewhere where she will persue her career In good hands. We came in for one of our kid's friend's birthday parties. It was really fun. We looked for some pricing and thought about getting our kids into lessons here, but we just never ended up doing it. So this review is based on the birthday party alone. The staff were attentive and very good with kids. They were very kind and helpful and just all around treated the kids very well and helped them figure out how different things worked. My younger daughter loved the trampoline where they are clipped in to some cords and can jump and do flips. She would have stayed on that trampoline the whole party time, had she been allowed! My oldest enjoyed swinging and landing in the foam pit... It was really fun for all the kids. read more

I would give this place no stars if I could. We were here for my daughter's first gymnastics class (not only here, but ever). She was super excited. Here's what happened. 1. This place smells and is dirty. I didn't even feel comfortable with my daughter walking around barefoot. I didn't want to touch anything in the bathroom. The smell is unreal. 2. The girl at the front-desk was so rude to us I was actually a little shocked. We had never been there before and she was the opposite of helpful and acted like we were bothering her by needing help and asking questions. She sighed and rolled her eyes when she realized she would need to get off her phone to help get us registered and didn't even explain where we needed to be for the class beyond just gesturing towards the gym. 3. I could deal with the first two if the class itself had been good. This was a beginner class. The teacher (Irina) was awful. Her tone with the kids just made me sad. She seemed bored and didn't give much 1-on-1 help, even though there were only like five girls in the class and they had an entire hour. I reached the end of my rope with this place when she yelled at my daughter (my tiny 6-year-old who had never been to a gymnastics class before) for not understanding the poorly-given directions on the beam. We couldn't get out of that stinky place fast enough. I asked my daughter after class if she wanted to go back and she said no. I'll be spending my money on another gymnastics program. read more

My 8-year old daughter who is quite shy attended her first gymnastics class here tonight and it could not have gone better. Everyone we interacted with there was warm, friendly and helpful. They did a great job with my wallflower child who has been singing and smiling since the moment we got home. She even earned a ribbon which made her feel really good about herself. Wow. Reading some of these negative reviews is baffling! This place is filled with so many happy ppl. I kinda wish ppl knew to leave more positive reviews! Usually when ppl are happy it doesn't cross their minds to leave reviews. Ppl only ever think to leave a review to a place when there was a bad experience. Me included. However; I've recently started changing that. I've started now writing more of he positive experiences I'm having so people are aware. I cannot say enough awesome things about this place. Being in the military, and being to many different parts of the world, along with going to many different kinds of gyms, and all sorts of places for kids. This is honestly one of the best places I've been. I'm so happy to be apart of such an amazing gym. Not only for my kids, but for myself as well. Seeing my kids succeeding and seeing them as happy as they are...makes it all that much better!! When I first walked into naydenov...I was almost taken aback because everyone training there is just SO good! I almost felt not good enough for this gym. But quickly I felt right at home. And my kids....wow! What they are learning there is beyond excellence. The instructors, and the workers are all professional, and so friendly. What my kids have learned in these last couple months, make me so excited for what's to come in their futures! -I am currently still a customer here. I came here from kids club, Had a very bad experience there. I'm still newish here; and myself and my kids have been welcomed with amazing attitudes! I'm so happy I found somewhere my kids and I love! My daughter tested onto the preteam here; and she absolutely LOVES it! She could go here everyday; if we could afford it ;) so far, I've seen nothing but kind and welcoming staff...and my daughter loves her coaches. She's got quite a few classes, and (again,) would take more if she could. She's been taught her back and front hand springs in the 2 months we've been here! Does a perfect back walk over; the list goes on! Also I'd like to add; these 2 months we've been here, I've switched and moved class times a few times, and I'm sure I was being "annoying," but not once was I treated badly, or have had a negative experience. Been trying to find right times that work with our family and schedule. (Military family!) We truly are so happy here! Can't wait to see what this next year brings!! I am really thinking of going to the school in Camas. The instructors change without notice. When I am a paying customer and my child's instructor changes I think I deserve to know. Some of the instructors are good moat are just okay and I do not want to pay for an okay instructor. I have still have not seen any improvement with the front desk staff, they are absolutely the rudest customer service I have seen on a long time. When the gentleman is around whom I think is the owner or manager they are nice but when he is not around they are very rude and act as if I am a burden, The reviews are correct it does smell but i would think that's normal there's an ton of kids on mats jumping around, it's not going to smell great. Most the teacher are just okay you just have to move around till you find the one you like. I have been somewhat satisfied till today. Whom ever was answering the phone on June 30th, 2016 in the morning was down right rude and has no customer service Etiquette. The front desk service is not getting any better. I had my older son in Naydenov preschool for two years and I cannot express how happy I was with their curriculum, friendly staff and professionalism. My kid did not speak any English because we spoke another language at home. In this school he learned to speak and read. At the end of the second year he read fluently and I cannot express my gratitude Ms. Heather and Ms. Ruth for working with him and being patient. They prepared my son for kindergarten and he was one of the fastest readers in class. Even today, he loves to read and is above average in his classroom. Recently had my stepdaughter's birthday in the dance room Staff was INCREDIBLY HELPFUL!! Had help with everything from setting up, watching the kiddos, and even serving pizza and cake! My only issue was not having the ability to set up before the party, rent times are basically back to back. My suggestion would be to have your kids play first, and eat/do party last so that you have plenty of time to set up before hand. I knew I'd only have a few minutes to set up when I booked, so I planned around decorations I could set up quickly. And with all the help I received from the staff it was no sweat! All the kids had a blast, and there is a huge variety of equipment, friendly for kids of all ages. read more

We went here for a birthday party and it was so much fun! The three person swing was my daughters' favorite! Now, we haven't taken any classes there (too far away), but we did have a blast at the birthday party! We had two instructors dedicated to our group of a little over ten kids and parents were welcome to help their children as well. Kids could play on anything - including getting a turn on the bungee trampoline (like they have at the Vancouver Mall). There were lots of things for the kids to try and they got out a lot of energy. My grandson's 7th birthday party was held here and boy! did the kids have fun. They have those bungee cord jumpers that let kids fly up higher than a trampoline, a zip line, block pits and other stuff plus a party room with table and chairs for cake and ice cream or lunch. read more

We have rented the gym for my kid's birthday parties a few times and every time there has been a problem with the waivers and the staff being disrespectful. In the past the employees have screamed at kids, made threats to kick them out if they do anything wrong, and have been managed with total disrespect, along with stopping the party half way through when they realized they didn't have waivers. We rented the gym again last night and I told the lady when I booked it that this was the case in the past and that if I need to be in charge of the waivers I will, but they should not stop our party because of their lack of preparedness and yell at us as though it is our fault. We checked in and she made sure everyone had a waiver with an unfriendly attitude, accompanied by a few eye rolls, but the coaches were unexpectedly friendly and really kind so I ignored the unprofessionalism that was the face of Naydenov. After about an hour and a half of being in the gym an extremely unfriendly man approached me as I jumped on a trampoline, yelling at the staff asking if I had a waiver. I stopped jumping and told the man I signed the waiver for the kids so I did. He unexpectedly became extremely aggressive yelling at me "Was I talking to you!? Stop arguing with me or I'll shut this party down right now! Where is the parent of this party!" As I was trying to explain to him that I was the parent of the party he continued to yell in my face to shut my mouth and stop talking to him because he was the owner and he can do what he wants! My husband approached him after seeing this interaction and he immediately acted as though he was not verbally assualting me and said, "Oh here is the parent of the party! Hi sir, I'm the owner how are you? I just need to make sure everyone has waivers signed so it will just take a few minutes." He then had all the kids in our party sit down while he tried to figure out where the waivers were, yelling at his staff in front of everyone and continued to be disrespectful and trying to intimidate everyone. I interrupted him to let him know these staff were not the ones who checked us in, so it was not their fault someone else had waivers signed in a way that he didn't appreciate and he should stop trying to intimidate them and threaten them; but he was not willing to listen until my husband spoke again. It was a horrible display of leadership and problem solving. I understand people have gotten injured in the past, so the reason for checking the waivers was valid, but the approach was not. We have had parties at Naydenov over the past 3 years and the waivers have been a problem every time, so it is very unfortunate that injures have occurred but this is not a new problem. Instead of interrupting a party and acting irritated that your customers who are paying you $400 ($500 because they recharged us the deposit and I haven't called to get it fixed because I'm not ready to talk to this man at this time) are inconveniencing you, maybe you should re-evaluate your waiver system and take responsibility as "THE OWNER" for your lack of finding a successful system. Your staff are not the problem of the failure, your system is. It's been occurring for the last 3 years that I know of, which tells me that maybe you should update your system to possibly match the times and have a computer system that would make it more convenient, easier to track, and more efficient. Just a piece of advice to "THE OWNER" if a problem continues to occur, you can blame everyone else or you can take a look at your approach. This applies to your waiver system and to managing the behavior of your customers. Research shows that punishment and verbal aggression are ineffective ways to manage or influence behavior and from my experience that's the only approach you've tried. I now understand why the staff in the past have been disrespectful and try to manage with threats and disrespect, because this is how they have been treated and followed this poor example of leadership. True character and integrity is not how you act when you feel an adult is present or when "the parent of the party" is present, it's how you treat people young and old, male or female, customers and employees when things are going well AS WELL AS, when they are not going well. The kids have a great time playing in the gym, outside of the negativity provided by the management, but we will be finding a new facility that has positive leadership, character, and integrity to support in the future. And to the coaches at Naydenov last night for our party, if your "boss" is threatening, intimidating, and/or treating you in a way that does not feel right, it's because it's not right. There are many jobs out there who would be appreciative of you're energy, positivity, and work ethic, and would not treat you like you are worthless, because the two of you did a great job regardless of how "THE OWNER" made you look and feel! read more

Save your money and don't send your children here. They pick their favorites and the older kids that regularly attend are mean to new comers. Then if the newbie goes to protect themselves and defend themselves they are the ones who get in trouble. The adult male that signs kids in on Saturday nights called me before 9pm to ask me to talk with my boys on the phone about not name calling. I did, and came and picked them up immediately. My older son broke down in tears when he got in the car. He was hit repeatedly by another kid and when he went to defend himself got in trouble for it. Not the best place for a good kid to hang on a Saturday night. And the place is horrible health wise, if you have any asthmatic issues at all, it's dusty, run down, and smells like my middle school that got torn down due to asbestos. read more

I went to view class and a birthday party here. Firstly, The place smells horrible, it is not clean. I mean seriously, there is litteral dirt and various other stuff on the equipment. The set up of large metal lockers on the floor by large aerial equipment is just not safe. On top of that they were rusty. The work I saw done with the kids was mostly ignoring them and shouting directions at them. When the kids didn't understand they were LITERALLY SCRAMED at. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude, and wouldn't give us any help letting us know where to go. For the birthday party they set us up in the wrong space, them moved us so everything started late, then charged us for going over our time. It's cheap but you get what you pay for. My experience with gymnastics facilities in the area is limited to Naydenov, so I cannot speak to others in the area, or how it compares to them. Pros: I can say, that this gym is very large, and seems to have a great following. The coaches I've met clearly know what they are doing, and are very approachable. The equipment they have is in good repair, and is not old or obsolete. Not a single thread of duct-tape is to be seen. The desk staff is usually very polite and attentive, and the computer they use for scheduling and teacher identification is a nice touch. The gym is busy enough that it can be challenging to find parking at particularly busy times of the day, yet the class sizes are never too large. They have a nice large loft area for parents to sit and observe the gymnasts, which is a nice touch, and keeps us out of the way. They provide a daycare-type service for younger non-gymnast siblings, that is closed by the time I bring my daughter to classes, but I don't use the service anyway. Would be a great feature if I had a littler one. Cons: The biggest complaint I have is that this place smells like a dirty gym sock. In times of bad weather, they have the side doors closed and it smells like I'm watching my daughter from a sweaty locker. I don't want to touch anything, because I know it hasn't been wiped down in months, if not longer. The only other complaint I have is mild, and that is that I don't feel the coaches maximize the use of their time with the kids. When I was in gymnastics, we had to hustle to keep up. There was challenge involved, even doing the simplest of tasks. My daughter's class strolls from one activity to the next, and sometimes girls in the class are just sitting around waiting for direction. A source of mild frustration that is overshadowed by the assault from the odor. Really, the gym is a nice place overall, and I can't imagine taking my daughter anywhere else. I took off .8 stars for smell, and .2 stars for value. read more

My granddaughter has a gymnastics class there. She has so much fun. But. All the staff is very rude and abrasive. The young lady told me to find a seat. I'm 71 years old and I don't necessarily "find a seat" as quickly as I used to. She proceeded to tell me again with a stern tone to "find a seat" I do not appreciate being spoken to like that. She also had a little bit too much makeup on and looked a little bit hussy if you ask me. She was texting on her phone and taking pictures of herself. I pay good money for lessons for my granddaughter and I do not appreciate being spoken to like that. Everyone I have encountered at navanos gymnastic has rushed me and been rude. There was one woman. Prob'ly in her 40s I think her name is Marisa. She is always very kind when I see her and treats me with respect.
