Outstanding facility for fitness at all levels, including classes, swimming pool, table tennis, pickle ball, weight room with elliptical and star climbing stations. It's clean, the staff is friendly, and the front desk is well-staffed with knowledgeable people. In some cases, one's health insurance covers the reasonable monthly fee. Our family has hosted a few gatherings here. We rented a room that held just under 100 people. The space was clean, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We usually rent the Oak room. There's about 10-12 round tables that seat about 8 people each. They have carts available to unload your items (food, decorations, etc.) from your car and bring them to the room. The staff empties all trash and recycling. You are required to clean up your space, including sweeping the floor and wiping off all tables. Our only recurring issue is the technical equipment in the room. Each time we've held a gathering, the equipment hasn't worked properly. The microphone needs upgrading as well. It kept cutting out when people were talking into it. We were bummed we couldn't get the projector to work either. It would have been nice to have pictures of our loved ones on the screen with background music. Overall, it is a nice venue for large groups. We would recommend it to host gatherings. read more

This is a review of the pool and viewing area only because that's my only experience here. Thank you to the Marshall Center for opening up your doors for aquatic therapy. We have participated twice through a children's rehab facility and each time it gets better. There are lots of tools and floats available, and the therapists (not associated with the Marshall Center) bring their own tools as well. The locker rooms are cleaned and well maintained. The family changing rooms are large, but there are only 3, and more would have been nice. Two of the three have showers and a bench. One of them is a large bathroom/changing room. The water is warm and the poolside is warm as well, which is great for people who are sensitive to temperature changes. There is a viewing area above the pool with chairs and bleacher-like seating. In the mornings, the pool and viewing area are quiet and mostly empty. I like the set up of the pool during therapy times which reserves the shallow end of the pool for kids. There are still swimming lanes open and some people do water walking and exercises at the other end of the shallow part. There seems to be room for everyone if you come in the morning. Sometimes parking can be difficult to find near the door, so be prepared for a short walk to the front door. read more

I witnessed an elderly lady fall down trying to get out of the pool on the ramp. She struggled for minutes to get to her knees and then was trying to stand. There are a group of 3 lifeguards that stand not far away, in a circle talking and laughing every time I have been there for the public swim. The female finally noticed and gave her a hand up. The lifeguards that walk up and down watching the swimmers do a good job. The only thing the other 3 do is turn the water on for the slide for about 10 min. I'm in a wheelchair so one lowers and raises the chair for me. When I was lifted out on the chair, I informed (I think her name is Kendel) that she had taken 3 or 4 min. to notice the lady that fell and I didn't think they should be standing around talking and laughing the whole hour. She said that they were supervisors. I asked if that meant they get paid to talk and she said, " I'm helping you out of the pool, aren't I? The entire time, she had a huge smirk on her face and a very sarcastic tone of voice. Those 3 only work for 10 min. out of the hour. They could glance around once in a while. read more

My husband and I really enjoy the pool and the swimming exercise classes they offer. We have not tried the other amenities they have but they look fabulous. I like the fact that it is not as busy as Firstenburg and it is not as new as that center but everything is clean and well cared for. The staff is kind and helpful also. read more

The Marshall Center has it all. Fees are low. Hours of operation can fit any ones schedule.

I swim here since 2015 when I moved up here. Pre pandemic the lap swim hours were numerous but they ave been cut down to allow other groups to use it such as swim lessons and swim teams. if we ever get back to normal they will probably bring back the pool yoga and pilates and other water exercises. for now, we will have to be wearing masks again but I do not have a problem with that. I don't like the locker room because floor gets slippery but there is now a shower on deck to rinse off chlorine, which I hope they continue to utilize. I cannot speak to gym or court but see all kinds of people playing volley ball pickle ball and even judo, whew read more

The place is nice for swimming. But be aware there are fellow swimmers (mostly the elderly) that think they have the right right to tell you were and how to swim... And when you stand up to them it turns into a big hassle They don't understand the term(MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!! read more

The Marshall Community Center rocks! I pay $37/month for unlimited use of gym, exercise room with workout equipment/ weights, 25 yard lap pool, and fitness classes every hour on the hour (yoga, zumba, cycle, kickboxing, etc.). The facilities are brand new and the building is beautiful. I always work out during peak hours and the place is never crowded. It's also a great way to avoid the meat markets that are 24 Hour, La Fitness, and other corporate gyms. Finally! I can exercise with people who don't think less of me for not wearing make-up and mid-driffs! And, I'm supporting my local Parks & Recreation Department, putting $ back into my community. I am also planning on getting a garden plot this April in the community garden on the premises. 20'x20' plots are $40, which is a steal considering there's a 3 year wait-list for a tiny plot in Portland. The Community Center's only downfall is that it isn't open on Sundays. Otherwise, I'm very happy here. read more

We are visiting from California and our son needed to get some basketball work in, so we came here. The facility seems nice but the staff was rude in the back. After we paid, we were told there were benches and chairs to sit in while our son played. A staff member in red vest came in and tried to kick all of out including our 14year old. He finally agreed to let our son stay, but made us take our stuff out including our son's water bottle. How do you play basketball and not take water breaks, very unhealthy and mean spirited employee. He didn't believe us that we paid for him even though we had a receipt. He also got upset when I asked to fill up water bottle out of the sink. Don't think we will waste our money here again!!!!! read more

My toddler and I meet up with some mom friends at the playground several times a month. This park tends to be moderately clean, and pretty well maintained. It does have it's fair share of homeless people in and out during the time we are there, but we've never had an issue there. The structure is very fun and accessible, making it easy to follow my little guy around to make sure he's safe. We also like the grassy field that butts up to Mill Plain. It's very easy to get to as well from both East Vancouver, and I-5. read more

Also reviewing the playground...this is the Mecca of playground structures, and very close to my house! There is stuff for little kids, and big kids, but I find that it's not as dangerous as a lot of other big kid structures, because there aren't a lot of open drops throughout the equipment...they took care to put railings up on almost all of the structure. My 2 year old can play on it and have fun and I'm sure a 7 year old would also have as much fun...although we don't often see them because we go in the mornings. Love this park! The only drawback is that I can't sit in one spot and see my kid the whole time...if you hve a younger child you can lose sight of them easily because of how big it is! But all in all that's about as good as it gets when it comes to inconveniences,,,it certainly isn't an inconvenience for my child that it's that big! read more

Great find! Affordable membership, even not being a Washington resident. Needed to find a place to play indoor basketball and this is the spot! They separate the gym into 2 halves most of the time so they can have scheduled events going on one side and drop in basketball on the other. The weight room is nice as well! Have lots of weight stations, free weights and cardiovascular machines galor! There are other things included in membership but I don't use them, such as a pool, might I add, big enough to swim laps.
