I'm writing this after receiving our 2nd half steer. A couple of years ago we were directed to Nay's through a friend of ours after we indicated that we had an interest in upping our game on better quality, "clean meats". Ordering is a breeze with Nay's "cut sheet" - which is their order form. Little in the way to screw things up, so you get what you order. The meat comes vacuum packed in plastic which is really helpful. The meat has historically been the best. Buyers should be aware that these are not "pen" based industrial animals. They are small ranch, mostly range fed and allowed to move. So the meat is slightly different than store bought. Consequently, marbling varies. We now greatly prefer this quality of meat over store bought and are extremely happy with our purchases from Nay's meats. We had a superb angus beef delivered to Nays for processing. We knew the weight of the delivery as well as the hang weight. We received less that 26% of the hang weight. You do the math. Wonder where all that beef ended up? read more

Amazing cuts, hours may be off on the website but it's worth a call and wait for the meats!!

I have been using Nay's butchering service for wild game for the last 13 years. I have always had great results with their ability to quickly and cleanly take care of my game. Because I live in Arizona, I usually have to get home relatively quickly after I kill my deer or antelope, to get back to work etc. Both Tug and his late father always cut my meat as quickly as possible and at a fair cost. I take pride in taking care of my game meat and getting it skinned and cooled as soon as I kill it. I usually bring my game to them already skinned but have let them skin my animal on occasion. They do it quickly and cleanly and the cost is fair. read more

I shot the lead cow elk with one clean shot, she was huge- as big as a bull! We loaded her up and took her to Nay's Custom Meat. 2 weeks later ALL I GOT BACK was 4 little boxes of meat! ONLY 3 small pkgs of fillets, ONLY 3 roasts, and most (over 50 lbs) was burger. I ONLY GOT 94 LBS of meat, and less than 20 lbs of jerky! I DIDN'T GET BACK AT LEAST 1/2 OF MY ELK! It didn't even fill up one full shelf in my freezer! I called Tug on it, and he said that was all there is, and ONLY HAD EXCUSES! Said it was too shot up, and that was it! When I dropped her off he told me about how he does a great cut with the ribs, and do I want them? I said yes, but there were NO ribs in my 4 small boxes. I asked him where are the ribs AS THEY WERE MISSING, and the rest of my meat? He said that they were too shot up and damaged and couldn't be saved. COMPLETE BULL CRAP! He also charged me $550! I am not one to leave negative reviews, but this was not a good experience. read more

This is a follow up to my previous review. I've consumed much of the meat. Two of the chuck roasts had a large bone that took up about 35% of the roast. The filet cut was extremely fatty and not a nice marbling, but chunks of fat. There were two filet cuts. The smaller cut was nice an lean, but the larger was a mess. The taste of the meat is very nice. This was my first time buying bulk beef and I was part of a group that purchased from Nays, so I just trusted the other people in the group. I have since done my due diligence and researched bulk beefs. I strongly recommend you research different ranchers and call them and ask questions about grazing, age of the cow, drying duration and how and who butchers the meat. I apparently paid a huge premium to have this delivered to Vegas from Utah. My next order is in February and I'm making the drive. For me it is worth the price, quality and time.
