One of the biggest pieces of advice I can give is to stay consistent and organized with your documentation. This process requires a lot, but keeping everything up to date really makes a difference when things start moving quickly. What has stood out most to me is having a responsive and supportive counselor. In a process that can feel overwhelming and time-sensitive, having someone who communicates clearly and responds quickly has made things feel much more manageable. That level of support is so important, especially when you're working through tight deadlines. I know some people may find the detailed, step-by-step process a bit overwhelming, but as a first-time homebuyer, I actually find it reassuring. It feels like NACA is doing a first layer of review (almost like a built-in quality check) to make sure you're fully prepared. By the time you get to lender approval, you've already done so much of the groundwork, which helps the process feel smoother overall. That said, patience is key. This isn't a rushed process, so if you know you want to buy a home within the next 6-12 months, I highly recommend starting early. Begin organizing your finances, being mindful of your spending habits, and understanding what will be evaluated. That preparation really pays off later. I'm still learning as I move through the offer phase, but I'm looking forward to continuing this journey and sharing another update once I reach the closing stage!

We recently discovered NACA, and quickly after attending their Homebuyer Workshop, felt our dream becoming reality. The purchase of a first house can be incredibly stressful, and we are grateful to NACA for alleviating that stress by walking us through each step. Our mortgage counselor Katya is incredibly well-versed in the NACA program. Her kindness, patience, and attention to detail are remarkable. We are still in the early stages, and excited to be part of an organization committed to providing affordable homeownership to ourselves and others. I am rating our experience four stars as we are still in the process of qualification, and will update my review as we progress.

From our very first conversation, I knew I was in the hands of a true professional -- someone who not only understands the mortgage process inside and out, but also genuinely cares about his clients. We faced several unexpected challenges from the seller's side, but Bill navigated every hurdle with calm confidence and creative problem-solving. He has a rare ability to make a complex, high-stakes process feel smooth and painless. Bill's professionalism is matched only by his human qualities -- patience, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to his clients' success. What impressed me most was his resourcefulness. Bill sees solutions where others see roadblocks. He explored multiple strategies to ensure I got the best possible loan, always explaining each step clearly and making sure I felt informed and comfortable. He was responsive, attentive, and proactive, often checking in before I even had to ask. In the end, I not only closed on my dream home, but did so with complete confidence in every decision -- thanks to Bill's guidance. He's the kind of person who turns what could be a stressful journey into a positive, even enjoyable experience. If you're buying a home -- especially if it's your first -- I cannot recommend Bill Rayman enough. He's not just a mortgage broker; he's a trusted partner who will go above and beyond to make sure you succeed.
