I'm incredibly grateful he heard me, because after reevaluating my mental health medications, I felt so much better. Anyways, yeah, not the best. Regardless of our attempt to explain that both my daughter and I missed work already today for this appointment, the office just kept repeating themselves, "do you want to reschedule to another day or no"? office staff was very rude and uncourteous with their approach. A little bit of manners and courteousness would have gone long way. If she has other priorities, having a NP to meet prior commitments would have been nice instead of just cancelling the patients that booked months ahead and made arrangements for this appointments only to deal with her rude staff. This is unprofessional and disrespectful to your patient's time.

Dr. Bhukhen is a rare genius. A friend of mine referred me to her when I was looking for a new GP…read moreafter I changed insurances. I knew something bizarre was wrong with me. On our very first meeting, Dr. Bhukhen listened to my odd concerns in a very serious way. She carefully considered my symptoms in comparison to my medical hx. She ordered imaging that day. Within a week she found (what looked to be a) rare endocrine tumor growing happily within my right adrenal gland. This was after 5-10 years of physicians dismissing my odd cluster of symptoms as untreatable or as coincidences. After the initial (still unconfirmed) diagnosis, I could not get into see an endocrinologist for another 3 months. My insurance allowed me to be seen at Stanford. A few weeks later, I had the tumor removed by Dr. Electron Kebebew, Stanford's Head of Endocrine Surgery. By the time I was rolled into the recovery room ~ all symptoms gone! Dr. Bhukhen's initial diagnosis was confirmed. This, took place only a few months after she courageously sent me for imaging immediately following our very first appointment together. Brilliant physician. I am filled with appreciation for her gifts, and that our paths crossed. Dr. Bhukhen = my HERO!

My new primary didn't inform me that she was sending me to a religious zealot who wouldn't let me choose what I do with my own uterus. You should not work in health care if you're going to push your religious beliefs onto your patients, especially working with women. I came in leaning towards getting paragard (copper IUD) but still had questions. They told me when I was already there and undressed that they don't do that one because Dr Fromlak believes it to be an abortion type of birth control. Absolute bullshit. This also makes me question her intelligence level. They could've told me this on the phone when I scheduled my appointment. My primary could've also asked me when she met me how I feel about religious zealots in healthcare and maybe I never would've ended up here. 0/10, highly do NOT recommend.

For several years I had been living with female pain. I have been in and out of the ER every year only to leave feeling dismissed & crazy. I had enough, the pain got worse. So I went to my OB who finally gave me answers. We had a plan, and the next step was to visit Dr. Goldberg for bloodwork. Her assistant took me in, and immediately I felt uncomfortable with him. This feeling never left me. Dr. Goldberg came in after and I told her about my pain, the plan my OB had in place, and I also talked about an ear ache I couldn't get rid of. I thought as a woman Dr. Goldberg would be understanding. Instead, she dismissed my pain and told me I didn't need surgery. I just needed to drink more water. She ignored the bloodwork my other Dr. wanted, and told me she would only order bloodwork she knew how to read. As for my earache, she had no interest in flushing my ear like I asked. Instead she told me to go home and use debrox. I wanted to cry. Years of ER Dr.'s gaslighting me, having had enough of this pain, thinking a woman would understand only to have her dismiss me like the others. It was too much. I wanted to run out of there. After some convincing I got her to agree to have her assistant flush my ear, which solved that ache instantly. Once I got to my car I couldn't help but cry. Since then, I've had two surgeries to cut out what was causing my pain and I feel immensely better. I DO NOT recommend her, she doesn't listen to you as a patient. Only cares about getting in and out of the room as quickly as possible.

Went on Tue for possible foreign body in Lt eye fornix (dirty toddler nail from cutting it)…read more Timeline: Sun- likely nail in eye Mon- eye hurts a bit, Foreign body sensation & tenderness in fornix (where I've had a nail stuck in there in the past) after cutting kiddo's nail. Tue- saw NP Sam O. at this clinic. She did fluroscein stain + woods lamp only (also note she put the stain into the wrong eye and I had to correct her). Did not know how to evert (flip) my eyelid to check for nail under eyelid despite me telling her how & that it's needed to rule out a foreign body. I even tried to pull my eyelid away as much as possible and she said she didn't see anything (without using any sort of light to look!), said most likely a stye and can refer to ophthalmology instead. (An eye surgeon to remove something simple that she should have been able to do seems excessive and a waste of medical resources.... also that is another appt for me when I am a busy mom of a newborn & my insurance might not cover a specialist appt. Again this is something every urgent care provider should be able to do! I hope she went home and googled how to flip an eyelid). She recommended warm compress + massage bc her diagnosis was a stye. That day I tried warm compress w massage- didn't help, felt even more pain (bc I was massaging a foreign body against my eye!) Wed- eyelid much worse. called optometry, thankfully got a same day routine appt bc someone canceled. Told her my concerns, she flipped my eyelid, removed a foreign body w some blood on it. Eye felt better w no foreign body sensation. Prescribed zpack (antibiotics). Tried warm compress only to see if it'll go away without antibiotics. Thur- eye still swollen so started zpack, eye got significantly better after a few hours withOUT warm compresses at all Fri- eye completely back to normal My diagnosis- disgusting toddler fingernail w subsequent infection, resolved after removal + zpack. In sum: NP Sam needs to ask the MD onsite for help if she doesn't know how to do something instead of giving the wrong diagnosis, wrong treatment, and only offering a referral for something she should know how to do. She needs to brush up on simple office procedures as well.

I wanted to discuss medications for mental health struggles. When I showed up, there was bibles in the lobby and the atmosphere was just eery and unfriendly. When I was finally called back I was led to a room and there was a BLOODY CRUCIFIX on the wall. I asked if this was a religious practice and was told no and he looked at me like i was crazy for asking?? The whole thing was so weird. We sat on complete opposite ends of the room and I felt like I was a test subject being studied. I said I wanted to leave and was genuinely afraid. To this day I have no clue what this family is about, but I didn't care to uncover all that and would not recommend.
