I sent 4 shirts for dry cleaning. When I went to the shop and picked them up later, the lady only gave me 3 shirts. I asked where the other shirt is, she said I only gave her 3 shirts and claimed I was lying for saying I gave her 4 shirts. Later on I found the receipt she gave me and it clearly said 4 shirts as shown in the picture. Then I went to the shop again and showed her the receipt, she was still lying and said she wrote the wrong number on that receipt, and said she could only give me 40 dollars for the shirt which I bought for 120 dollars. In summary, what annoyed me the most is not how much she decides to pay me but her attitude. From start to end, she never said a single sorry and constantly blamed me for trying to deceive money. Even after I found the receipt she still wouldn't admit she lost the shirt. This place offer cheap services and do not expect them to take good care of your clothes. read more

Not much to say. I called up a couple different cleaners and this place was the cheapest by a long shot (less than 60-70% of the cost of other places) so I gave it a try. I walked in, handed the lady two pairs of dress pants, came back 3 days later, paid her $10 + tax ($5/pair) and the pants came back clean and ironed. Would definitely go back again read more

Great prices. Got four items dry cleaned and pants hemmed. Total came up under $40. Not the greatest customer service as the lady was on her phone the whole time but it's great if you just want to get in and get out. All items came back 100%. read more

Terrible experience. I will never go back again. I brought in a coat where the dye was transferring onto my hands and clothes. They indicated they could fix it but it would cost $75. I said I would only do it if they could guarantee to fix the problem. The lady said she would confirm with the warehouse and only if she could guarantee no more running dye - she would send it for cleaning. It was sent for cleaning. I paid the $75. Dye still runs. They tried to tell me it's "ok" and "not so bad" to have the dye still transfer. No refund. Stuck with the same problem and $75 out of pocket. read more

WOULD GIVE ZERO IF I COULD Dry cleaned my jacket here. Reconfirmed the price of $16 three times before dropping it off, but it ended up being over $75 when I picked it up. Lady claimed my jacket was suede and needed to be coloured again after cleaning. My jacket was not suede. Rude service. Never coming back again. read more

By far the best cleaner I'll been to. I needed to get a dress altered for an event and asked when it could be done by. The lady at the store was very patient taking my measurements and she said that I could pick it up tomorrow. When I picked it up, I tried it on to make sure that the dress fitted me better around the waist and it did perfectly like it was custom-made. Platis is the worst dry cleaner I have ever come across and has the worst customer service. I have a brand new silk shirt that was custom made in Hong Kong, and it was in perfect condition, but I wanted to get it dry cleaned after wearing it. Normally, I always go to Parker's cleaners, which is in Manulife Centre, but a new dry cleaning store, Platis Cleaners, had opened across the street, and their rates were a lot cheaper, so I thought I would give it a try. I gave my shirt in on 10th June, 2013, and was told that I would get it back on Wednesday. When I went there to collect it on Wednesday, I was told that it had not come in, and that I would get it on Thursday. I went again on Thursday and was told by the representative there that the plant had not done a great job on my shirt, so it had been sent for re-cleaning. She told me that I could collect it on Friday. I went again on Friday and was told that during the dry cleaning the plant had broken all the buttons in the rollers and that the shirt had been sent back for repairs. I was shocked to hear this as it was a brand new shirt with beautiful matching mother of pearl buttons, and there was no chance that they could have all broken. I asked the lady to show it to me, but she said that she only worked there and that I would have to speak with the owner, Mr. Platis. I demanded to speak with him, but she told me that he did not have a phone and that he would call me when he came to the store. I was very surprised to hear that a person who claims to own a chain of dry cleaning stores does not have a cell phone. I told her that I thought that the dry cleaning was done on the premises, but she said that it was sent to a plant in another part of town. I asked if Platis owned the plant, but she said that it wasn't owned by them. I was also surprised to find out that although Platis claimed to have their own plant, the garments were actually sent to someone else to dry clean. Finally I got a call back from Mr. Platis on Friday evening to tell me that the shirt would be ready the next day, and that I should collect it on Saturday morning. I told him to call me when it was ready as I had already gone to the store three times and it wasn't ready. He finally called me on Saturday morning and told me that the shirt would come in by 2:30 pm, and that I should come and pick it up. I went to the store around 4:00 pm, and the shirt was ready, but when I saw it, I saw shocked that instead of using matching mother of pearl buttons, they had used horrible ugly horn buttons that were much bigger and didn't even fit in the button hole without stretching the button holes. I tried buttoning one of them, but that was impossible as the button was too large for the buttonhole. I then took the shirt out of the plastic bag to see if there were any other issues and was shocked to find multiple stains all over the shirt on the front and back. These were stains that were definitely not there when I gave it in as I am very particular about stains on my clothes and would have known about them if they existed. In fact, if there were stains, I would have asked them to remove them. I therefore asked the representative how these stains got there, and she said that they were there when I gave it in. I asked why she didn't tell me about the stains when I gave it in for cleaning, and she said that they never check garments for stains and if there is a stain it must have been there when I gave it in. This didn't make any sense to me. I was not satisfied with her response and demanded to speak with Mr. Platis, but she said that he was unavailable and that he would be available on the following Monday. Having no choice, I left the store with my shirt that Platis had ruined, but I am posting this for anyone that might consider using this pathetic dry cleaner. They take destroy people's garments and take absolutely no responsibility for their work. read more
