Two kids saw different dentists, first one was professional and nice , second one was one of those "I know best" she insisted I do X-rays , I refused! She said that if I didn't allow X-rays , I can't return for any appointments and she refused to sign the school papers to confirm we had a check up and kept the other form that had been signed already by the other dentist! Interesting how these dentist are so focused on making their morning huddle numbers that they don't care for the patients health! The procedure was on baby teeth, and we asked for standard fillings but she used white, which insurance wouldn't cover. These molars will be falling out in the next year, why use white? Billing department is awful. Takes forever to get back to you when you call. Submitted our claim incorrectly to insurance, so we ended up having to pay the whole bill out of pocket. We later found out that this doctor takes patients who don't have insurance and supplements them by fully billing other patients. We're all for charity, but find other ways to fund it.

Very different procedures but both were amazing experiences. All of our appointments have been prompt. Very little wait if any. Dr. Hitchan is approachable, warm, and knowledgeable. His office staff is friendly but more so, they treat you like a person instead of a number. Diane spent the greater part of a half an hour on the phone with me prior to my 21 yr old daughter's surgery discussing her great anxiety and how to make the process more comfortable for her both emotionally and physically. She took every step she could to make things better for her. When I was unable to go back with her to hold my daughter's hand during surgery prep, Diane promised me she would hold her hand the entire time. She did. During prep and during surgery. When we got to the car to leave, my daughter (under anesthesia) went on and on about Diane being the best person she has ever met in her whollleeee life. :) For her follow-up, I couldn't be there and once again, at the first sign of anxiety, Diane was at her side. Diane single-handedly made sure this experience was a positive one for her. In addition, Dr. Hitchan called the evening of each of my children's surgery to check on them. The doctor. Not his staff.
