This company is a joke. They are there not the AirBnB off storage, they are a company who allows people to squat on your property. They allow the tenants to destroy your property and not be responsible to pay for the damages. The tenant had actually admitted that he broke my window and rather than Neighbors insurance taking care of it, they leave it up to the tenant to decide what to do. They give the tenant more rights that you as a host. You are at the mercy of whoever stores their crap in your space. And when you give a tenant the proper and legal Notification to vacate the property, they DONT HAVE TO IF THEY DON'T WANT TO. I HAVE MY TENANT 65 days notice to vacate the premises when I was obey had to legally give him 30 days. The tenant refused to leave, Neighbor then allowed his reservation to continue for two more Weeks. They also said the tenant had agreed to pay for the damages yet they have no way to charge the credit card they have on file (funny how there's no security deposit) and yet they still want to take the word of a tenant who has lied, stored prohibited items, damaged the property, let his dog pee Al over my yard ( when it clearly states no animals allowed, the tenant has given access to my personal space to all of his friends who let store crap in my garage. This company is an absolute joke! Like I said they are doing absolutely nothing in their power for me as a host. The only thing that they are doing is they are protecting the tenant and his belongings. You have no rights you have no legal rights as a host when using this company you are screwed do not use this company do not recommend it to your friends because you will get stuck being a slumlord with somebody's crap in your garage that you can't get rid of the only thing that Neighbor does for you as a host is it make sure you get paid. I've been a neighbor host for approximately 2 years now and love it. I've had nothing but amazing renters and neighbor app has gone without an issue for both myself (host) and my renters. The app is so amazing to date I haven't required the assistance of the neighbor customer service. I would highly recommend this service to anyone in need or want of extra income for storage area's they are not actively utilizing. I have no experience on the renter side of this however according to all my renters to date the app is very user friendly and customer support I'd amazing. After several years renting space from Nelson, I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. The storage area was ideal. It was safe and secure, inside a locked gate on his personal property, in a farm community where many of the neighbors seem to know each other. Nelson couldn't have been a more considerate host. I'm not going to list the specifics on his support efforts as I don't want to inadvertently commit him to repeating these things, but suffice it to say that his assistance was nothing short of heroic. My wife and I needed a cheap space to store our Christmas decorations. We quickly found something on Neighbor.com that seemed to fit our needs. We were still a little hesitant but when we met the host (Kaleb), all of our fears were assuaged! Kaleb was super kind and helpful. He was super responsive and always came out to chat and help us whenever we wanted to get something from our storage space. He treated our belongings like they were his own. As a host they always take care of their customers. Prices at neighbor are much lower for the renter, other than going to the typical storage facility. You are insured just like a typical storage facility. People have attics, basements, extra rooms, garages, and parking spaces available for everyone to keep their personal possessions, instead of at a storage facility. There is more of an opportunity to store your personal possessions where you live or use them at since storage facilities are never located "exactly" where you'd like them to be. read more

I was in the middle of moving to a new apartment and needed space quickly. The new space was too small for my bike and a few other things. Neighbor had good-sized spaces a lot closer to me than storage units, and the prices were way better, so it was a no-brainer. I only needed storage for a couple weeks but ended up leaving my stuff with my host for a couple months for convenience. Not a scam, parked here for months with no issues while we traveled. Felt a little sketch at first because the signs for the parking lot say you can't park overnight but it is legit and worked just as advertised. They got back to me on a Sunday night evening just prior to our travel while we were trying to sort it out. Storing through Neighbor has been great. I stored all our stuff in a lady's basement while we were building a new house. She was very kind and accommodating and our stuff was very safe with her. We saved over $1,000 versus what we would have paid for equivalent space at a local storage facility. He even connected me with someone who could repair my car that I planned to store on his property, though I ultimately ended up selling it. Over the years I have rented out a spare bedroom, a covered area outside my home, and my garage. Most of the people renting have been students storing items for the summer while they traveled for an internship (or something like that). When I moved in it had rained and it was quite slippery to both position my trailer and to leave back up the hill. We used a parking space in Cape Canaveral area for a long cruise and extended Europe trip. The host was responsive and helpful and the space had a fenced around the yard with security cameras.
