I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ. The staff is available on a moment's notice- she's knowledgeable and very friendly & so are her furry co-workers! Can I just say that I love the fact her pups chill with her in her office, great company for the customers too. (I'm a animal lover... what?!?) The facility is a perfect location for me! The price is good- move in special was too hard to resist. One itty bitty thing that is a little tiny bit of a scoche annoying is the roads on site- (I know, it's not on level ground it's on a hill & the level is in tiers throughout to keep each unit level but the storage roads can be rough on your car sooooo DRIVE SLOW)- I'm completely fine with it (it is what it is) as long as I drive really really slow. Other than that- great place to use as off site storage.

The whole place is on a slope, which can be annoying or even dangerous when you are carrying lots of boxes and such. Especially in the snow. The inner hallway units are not too well-lit, but a great price. You can get two smaller units for *cheaper* than a single equivalent-sized outside unit! The high ceilings are also a good feature, so you can get a smaller unit and just super-stack everything to the roof! The place is not climate-controlled, or even 100% weather-proof, but still very good. I covered up my stuff with a tarp just in case, and the tarp just got pretty dusty over the course of a year. Automatic credit card payments are convenient, too.

As for the actual rental experience, I've never had any issues with break-ins, mice, or anything else undesirable. The location is always clean and staff is readily available.
