What is one supposed to say about a storage unit? It is a boring business. It is not exciting…read more They are not selling you a product that you can take home and wear or eat or admire. I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ. Very expensive storage units…read more Their snow plows pushed the roll-up door to my unit off the track which now provides an opening at the bottom corner when the door is closed for critters to enter. Additionally, the off-track door also is not able to open fully, making it difficult to move tall items in/out and the door is also difficult to open. I asked them to repair it about 10 months ago and it still isn't repaired. They changed payment systems recently and instead of keeping everyone's auto payment information intact, they deleted all the information and are requiring renters to create new accounts and re-enter payment information. Now they are threatening to charge late fees saying that it is my problem that they deleted my payment information. Unbelievable, go elsewhere for your storage needs. EDIT: Within an hour of posting this review and debating with them via text about their new policy, I received a message from Silver Creek Storage stating that I am now required to provide proof of insurance. Very vindictive of them. I'll be vacating next month, good riddance to this place.

The rental process is fairly straight forward on their website you can reserve one before you go. I was on a spring cleaning rant and so I just called and they had the size I needed so I went down. You can bring your own lock which I did but the manager said you should use a disk lock. Since I was just storing some old close I went with my lock because the stuff isn't that valuable. Best of all if you check in on Yelp you get 5 percent off they don't advertise it so that is my tip. Also expert tip as for one on the edge of the building so it's easy to remember where it is.

He has stepped up personally to help a couple of times when I needed extra hands which is great . I highly recommend extra space storage especially at this location . The units are clean. The walkways are clean. The entire facility is nice and clean which is not always the case. The units are easily accessed, and there are sufficient dollies to help with the move. The units are also climate controlled which is a plus.
