Criminal Forgery & Contract Falsification (Identity Theft) The vendor intentionally removed my original May 2024 digital lease from the customer portal to conceal unauthorized contract addendums. I recently recovered the original "PactSafe" digital documents, proving I originally rented Unit 2096 at a baseline of $171.00. The vendor is currently locking me out of Unit 2092 and demanding $350.00. The electronic signatures and initials authorizing this unit transfer and price hike are actively forged. I have formally demanded the PactSafe IP and Device ID audit logs from corporate, which will prove these signatures originated from their staff, not my personal devices. 2. Illegal Lockouts & Extortion (Violation of N.J.S.A. Grace Periods) The vendor's official system and automated communications establish my monthly due date as the 1st of the month, guaranteeing a strict 5-day statutory grace period. Despite this, the vendor executed an illegal physical lockout of my property on March 2, 2026, labeling my account "Delinquent" prior to the expiration of the legal grace period. To regain physical access to my property, I was forced to pay $350.00 under extreme duress. The vendor effectively weaponized an illegal lockout to extort payment on a fraudulent ledger. 3. Willful "Fee Pyramiding" & Ledger Manipulation Beginning with a bait-and-switch at the physical counter on my April 2024 move-in day, the vendor has engaged in systemic "Fee Pyramiding." Despite making substantial, timely payments throughout my tenancy, the internal ledger deliberately diverts my cleared funds into unauthorized "junk" categories (e.g., forced merchandise, inflated insurance tiers, and illegal $40-$90 late fees that violate the $20.00 cap written into their own contract). I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ. I notified the corporate office and they sent me an email saying "...Due to market changes and availability, rates are subject to change. Rate change notices are provided at least 30 days before the new rate goes into effect." No one ever notified me. They lie and that is a huge jump in price. BUYER BEWARE.
