With the rates dropping I contacted Dovenmuehle to see if they offered options for loan modifications hoping it would be cheaper than a complete refinance. They said they'd send me info on the process. Well, they instead put me into forbearance and stopped my auto payments. It took almost a month of phone calls and time to straighten it out and get out of forbearance.....something in ever should have been in! I wouldn't doubt it was a stat for them. Well, the good news is they just sold my loan to another bank. I was going to refinance just to get away from Dovenmuehle but now I'll give it a couple months to see how this one goes. What's the harm in having yet another bank have all of my info.

Every time I called in, I had to answer tons questions, even though I provided account #, social, last payment etc.... And even still sometimes they would not give me any info. The service was so poor and sketchy that I decided to just pay the loan off and not deal with that kind of bank. Even the payoff method was sketchy. I received payoff instructions that to be hand typed, and the look like it was out from a printer and running out of ink. I couldn't read the payoff . So again I had to call the bank and they would not give me any information or was no help. It took about two months to pay the loan off.
