Star assured me that I would be okay (and she was right!) She told me that the doctor would take me step by step and reminded me that he does this everyday. Her smile and chill personality instantly calmed my anxiety. Dr. Vladimir Tismensky talked to me through the entire procedure- always ensuring I was pain free (which I was). At the end (which was crazy quick), he made sure I had his cell number in case of any issues (none). The hospitality was on point. I couldn't ask for a better experience! Dr. Tismensky was very honest, straightforward, and approachable. He explained the process as he went, as well as the complications that he encountered throughout. It was painless, efficient, and geared towards giving me the best possible foundation for future work and best chance at keeping this tooth intact. Dr. Mintz has performed 4 of them and soon will also redo the one that I had my precious dentist do (BAD mistake). I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mintz for any kind of endodontic procedure. It seems a little pricey but worth every cent. He is very skilled in his craft and confident in his work. I feel more at ease in his office getting a root canal than I do just going into the dentist for a cleaning! The Chicago Heights office is beautiful and very state of the art with a relaxing feel. I will be honest...I have a HUGE fear of the dentist. When I mean fear, I legit don't like going and have gotten myself in trouble over the years by prolonging dental work. I found out very early on that I may need a root canal and got in to nip it in the butt. I was referred here by the worlds best Dentist, Becky Bosack and came here for a consultation. The office is modern, staff friendly and a big parking lot. Yes, you do have to pay upfront and yes dental work is expensive. They were very friendly and informative and explained everything to me. I was seen by Dr. Damas and she is a true master of her craft. She is skilled, patient, with a good bed side manner, and very kind. Her and her assistant understood how scared I was, really numbed me up and did their job. They did their job well. I couldn't be happier and more relieved with the job they did. I would recommend them to anyone. If you unfortunately find yourself in the need of a root canal, come check them out.
