The office staff seems to handle things well and no one seems busy in the least. However, I have spent months calling and emailing trying to get the next stages of care for my kids set up without any reply. Finally I got a randomly sent (not in response to my emails) reply about setting up care, and was able to connect with someone. Set up the appointment needed for my youngest. They knew what type of appointment it was because they quoted me the price for it, and it was not a cleaning. Forty minutes before the appointment, when I have spent days prepping my autistic kid for the break in routine, I get a call asking why I'm coming in and saying the treatment is no longer needed. It was implied that I had made a regular cleaning appointment, which I 1) did not do, and 2) those are covered by our insurance and would not have cost anything. I was frustrated that my child missed out on this treatment due to the office's lack of communication with me, and I shared as much. Not a single apology. I was told they could see that they had returned "a call" and had not been able to leave me a voicemail. I called multiple times, have never had problems with voicemail not working, and had also emailed asking to set up services, which were not replied to. I cannot recommend this office for dental care. I feel awful that I let it go this long; I should have moved on after a few weeks of nonresponse instead of waiting a few months. I just thought we could get back on track with them. I don't believe they want our business and we will move on.

As I have visited twice I will contribute my take on The Center but it is not one of a long-time client. The offices are very well-designed and truly provide "one stop" dental services. The staff are very friendly. As an incoming patient I was able to take a conducted tour. This is a very impressive and logical office set up in an easy to find location with ample parking and comprehensive services and state of the art equipment. I was made aware of The Dental Assistance Savings Plan via Kleer.com at the outset, and am considering it as I retired from work with COBRA coverage from an insurance which is out of network for The Center. I read the Savings Plan form carefully and believe that I understand it. A decision should be made shortly. There seems to be confusion concerning billing practices at the Center. As I see it it is up to the patient to ask questions, take notes if needed and to make sure that they fully understand The Center's billing and receivables requirements. The person that I talked to is Shari, whom I talked to at The Center after wrapping up my last appointment. She is a very good billing manager and was very helpful. Thank you.

An office that was told 3 times prior to her appointment that Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas) was needed. It was not provided and they much later claimed they "never" provide Nitrous Oxide on first visit and she never requested it. The dentist and hygienist also tried to talk her out of her anxiety, which is about the dumbest part of this situation and shows the practice is more concerned staying on schedule than accommodating nervous patients. Her cleaning was rescheduled. My wife took a day off work. At 7:30 am the morning of the appointment, they canceled it. Apparently only one person is certified to use Nitrous Oxide. Sadly, I recommended this practice to my wife. I have left it as well, because they do not respect their patients needs. Another practice has managed to meet her needs.

My son has a rare genetic dental issue, and Dr. Laura took it upon herself to do a ton of research and training on his diagnosis in order to help him. During the appointment, she briefly pointed to something on my X-rays but never clearly explained what she saw, what the diagnosis was, or what treatment she was recommending. She began numbing my mouth and proceeded with significant drilling without first walking me through the procedure. When she finished, I had to ask, "Did you fill a cavity?" She simply answered, "Yeah," and continued talking about unrelated things. I left the appointment without a clear understanding of what had been found or exactly what had been done. Once the numbness wore off, the tooth felt rough and uneven, with something hanging from the bottom that I could feel with my tongue. I returned to my regular dentist. He smoothed and corrected the area. He told me that he had not seen a cavity on his recent X-rays, although he acknowledged that it was possible she found something that had not been visible before. He also told me the new pain could have resulted from the drilling and that I might eventually need a root canal if it did not resolve. It has now been 6months, and the tooth is still bothering me. I had never experienced pain in that tooth before this appointment. The dentist also recommended crowns for all of my teeth and submitted an estimate to my insurance, which later appeared on my Explanation of Benefits. I was never given a clear explanation for why such extensive treatment was necessary, especially since I had no pain, visible damage, loose teeth, or other known problems. I cannot speak to her motives, but I can speak to my experience. I did not feel properly informed, I did not feel included in decisions about my treatment, and I am still dealing with pain that began after the procedure. I do not recommend this dentist.

Once my cleaning was finished, I was greeted by Lisa E who assisted the doctor (I think her name is ashley) with my fillings. Lisa is super sweet, warm and has a good sense of humor. I don't like needles and she helped eased my anxiousness by assuring me everything will be fine and if I needed to take a break then, let her know. She let me pick out a movie to watch while I had my fillings replaced. I chose father of the bride (love that movie) my dentist, Ashley is kind, personable and down to earth. I have two flexible spending cards, and I needed to split the payment on 2 cards for today's visit. Front desk personnel, Alyssa, was able to put the invoices on the receipt so that I can properly submit the invoice to my FSA providers. She too, was very helpful and friendly! I've been scared to death of dentists for the better part of my life. As a kid I had a dentist…read morestick his knee in my chest while trying to extract a tooth while proclaiming 'what, are you gonna cry now?' As he was clearly frustrated with his inability to pull it. Later, I had a dentist proclaim I had 14 cavities when I did not. (Still haven't had one) With that, I was beyond apprehensive going in for a visit suggested by and booked by my significant other. The staff was beyond welcoming. The hygienist that took care of me knew of my past issues and was amazing. Even Dr K went above and beyond taking time to sit down and show that I did not in fact have any cavities after my appointment. I'll be going back for the foreseeable future. My one complaint: I may be 40 but I didn't leave with a toy.
