Please don't read too much into reviews below, billing is billing, but read this no non sense assessment and review. I came here yesterday for a root canal and had an amazing experience. I will be honest...I have a HUGE fear of the dentist. When I mean fear, I legit don't like going and have gotten myself in trouble over the years by prolonging dental work. I found out very early on that I may need a root canal and got in to nip it in the butt. I was referred here by the worlds best Dentist, Becky Bosack and came here for a consultation. The office is modern, staff friendly and a big parking lot. Yes, you do have to pay upfront and yes dental work is expensive. They were very friendly and informative and explained everything to me. I was seen by Dr. Damas and she is a true master of her craft. She is skilled, patient, with a good bed side manner, and very kind. Her and her assistant understood how scared I was, really numbed me up and did their job. They did their job well. I couldn't be happier and more relieved with the job they did. I would recommend them to anyone. If you unfortunately find yourself in the need of a root canal, come check them out. read more

Had a root canal that took 2 hours! 3 days later felt kinda funny to only find out that I lost half the tooth, it cracked in half. With the holidays was very hard to get in anywhere. Ended up back at my regular dentist, then an oral surgeon and then back to my regular dentist. Was able to do a "half glass tooth," but the worst part of this disaster is that Southwest Endodontics charged me $1057. and wants another $298 when my insurance paid them also....to crack my tooth! They are claiming the x-rays showed nothing. Stay away from this place! Lot better honest Endodontists out there read more

I was very worried about going to get a root canal, but going into southwest endodontics I felt very comfortable. From the receptionist, down to the Dr - everything was great. Everyone was very caring, and so nice. And the office was sooooo clean. read more

The best dental experience I have ever had. I had a cracked tooth and needed an endodontist...I emailed the Orland SE office afterhours, and I received a phone call back from them at 8am the next morning. They got me in for initial consultation that day at 11:30 with Dr. Miller. 1st time ever going there they had me in the chair, xrays, and consultation done in 30 mins. Dr. Miller said he was going to find a way to work me into the schedule that day to take care of this immediate problem. Within an hour I was back in the chair had root canal and my tooth pain is now gone. The professionalism, efficiency and flexibility of Dr. Miller and his team at SE endodontics was amazing. I would Highly recommend them for anyone that unfortunately needs their services!!! read more

Dr. Miller is knowledgeable and efficient, with a great "bedside manner". He clearly explains everything, discusses your options, and really makes you feel that you are a part of the care team. I certainly hope I don't need another root canal, but if I ever do I am definitely returning here. read more

The billing deparment is the worse and they are crooks! This office cashed a check from my insurance company three months ago and I have not received my refund! I filed a grievance with my Insurance company against their billing department and they stated in a letter that a refund check was sent to me in the mail on 5/12/21 but I have not received the check The doctors here are great but they need to fire their lying billing department! Mail from Orland Park IL to my house does not take over two weeks! read more

I had a root canal go bad by another dentist and was in horrific pain and state of mind. I went to the dentist's Endodontist and they did nothing for me. I ended up in the emergency room at the hospital with an impacted infection and a face three times it's normal size. I was beside myself. My friend recommended Southwest Endodontist to me. I canned them and they had me come in first thing in the morning. I had been suffering for 4 days by now. Within hours of my early morning visit, I was much better. The swelling was going down and the pain was 80 percent better. I would highly recommend this facility to everyone I know and I have! I am forever grateful to this team. I will never go anywhere else if i Ever need an Endodontis. They are prof, caring, extremely knowledgeable and an amazing facility. read more

We scheduled my 13 years old daughter for root canal . A referral from our general dentist provided. During the phone call she mentioned the $175. Deductible . @ the appointment time we explained to her we have met our deductible . The front disk lady was not very nice . She said , this is for consultation and it is not covered by insurance and we can't get in unless we pay it. My wife paid it . Inside she told the dentist " her is the referral for teeth # 3 for root canal ". He looked in her mouth and did some tooth touching with his instrument , then said she needs a root canal . My wife said I know and that's why I'm here with the referral . So he did it in the same time same visit . My wife told the dentist about what the front lady did , he acted like he can't do anything and said I don't know. So my wife went outside to talk to her before leaving , but could not find her or anyone else to talk too. When my wife came whom , I called the office , left a message , but they ignored my message .no one called me. I do not recommended this office to anyone . They are crooks , thief's and rip offs . For sure I will report them to my insurance company , better BBB and I will do every review online to warn people about their crook ways to collect money . read more

To my utter surprise, knowing how awesome they are, it is strange that no one yet has featured Orland Endodontics on Yelp . They should be on the top of the search. Despite having no dental insurance, or maybe because of it, I have always been on guard with the health of my teeth. But there is this tooth that keeps causing trouble no matter what. I had a root canal done ten years ago and yet lately I could still feel some throbbing pain. My oral surgeon recommended that I have the tooth removed (of course!!) but I decided not to listen to him. Instead, I called Orland Endodontics. Dr. Tismensky opened the tooth and redid the root canal. There was inflammation going all the way to the bone, but it's healing well. No need of antibiotics or even pain killers. It felt like a filling. I've had two other root canals so far and none of them were as complicated as this one. Still, this is the best dental-related experience I've had. No pain and immediate relief (not to mention the great attitude of the staff, but I think that's understandable). read more

Just had a root canal treatment with Dr. Tismensky. Never knew this could be such a quick and painless procedure. I was very scared to go get a root canal, but Dr. was excellent, he was very nice and knowledgeable. If I ever need to do another tooth I will definitely go back to Dr. Tismensky. read more

Dr. Damas and Dr. Tismensky are both great! I've had terrible dental experiences in the past, but the experiences I have had with these doctors have been so different! They both put you at ease and work quickly and efficiently. The office staff is very kind as well. I am so thankful that I found this office. I would highly recommend them to anyone. :) read more

Before I give my review, I am going to give you a little background history about my father: My father is a non insured semi truck driver in grave pain and in need of an impending root canal. As a truck driver he is often in rural areas with no reception and loading and unloading delays. What happened you may ask for this one star review? My father called to make an appointment and asked for the earliest appointment in which he was given either Thursday 12/8/16 or Monday 12/12/16 he took Monday 12/12/16 as his pain was tolerate-able. He went to work and during the duration of his trip his pain became intolerable. He called the office and they were able to give him the Thursday 12/8/16 appointment. He missed his Thursday Appointment due to a delay with work. He called today (12/9/16) to make a new appointment and was told he wouldn't be able to make a new appointment until he payed the $150 cancelation fee for missing his appointment on Saturday. My father was very angered by this and I too have NEVER heard of an office making you pay a fee before you can making another appointment, usually they just tack it onto your bill with your services on it. My father asked to speak to a manager, in which he explained he had no idea there was a cancelation fee, and had he known he would have called to cancel, NO ONE told him when he called that there is a cancelation fee. The managers UNPROFESSIONAL response was that "all the offices have cancelation fees" and that he should have "known" . My 1-star review is due to the horrible customer service, and the managers incapability to show sympathy for a out of pocket paying customer. I do not recommend anyone makes an appointment at this office seeing as staff operates like robots instead of caring, compassionate, and sympathetic human beings who care about customer service. As for you Dr. Vlad. You missed out on a profit of $1500 for a root canal over a $150 cancelation fee. I not only will be spreading my dissatisfaction here on yelp, I will be telling all of my friends and family, making a Facebook post, google review, and notifying my dentist who I am have been going to for years that recommended this awful place. read more

I was very nervous and in a lot of pain when I found out that I needed a root canal. However, once I got into the comfy chair at Orland Endodontics I felt a little more at ease. Dr. Damas and her assistant really care about their patients. A week and a half after I got the root canal I got a temporary crown from my dentist's office. The next day, when flossing, it came off. I was very worried I was going to be without it for a week due to the holiday weekend and my work schedule through the next 5 days. I left a voicemail for Dr. Damas and she let me know how to fix it myself or that she could help me out that day. She came in on her day off (and a holiday) to help me and I am ever so grateful for her dedication and kindness. I highly recommended her! read more

My dentist referred me to Southwest Endodontics after I came to see him with extreme tooth pain. The receptionist scheduled me for a late day consultation appointment. Dr. Miller was efficient and told me that he could start work on my tooth later in the evening since he already had two appointments following mine. He also said that I would have to come back another day to finish the work since it couldn't be completed by the end of the work day. I was fine with that since it was a last minute appointment - I asked him how I would handle the antibiotics and pain killers until my second appointment. I left the office for a while and came back to start the numbing process - the root canal began at 5:20pm. Dr. Miller is humorous and always checked in on my comfort level. Later, he stated that they were going to finish my root canal so I didn't have to come back. His assistant, Izzy, and receptionist were willing to stay until the work was done. I was touched by their thoughtfulness and empathy for my situation. I left the office at 6:20pm. The ease and quick healing process of the root canal was superceded by the kindness of Dr. Miller and his staff. Thank you! read more

Don't recommend! Staff is rude and they are not willing to work with you when cancelling an appointment. When cancelling an appointment you're charged $150 plus finance fees, even when you want to get a new appointment or reschedule, they won't schedule unless you pay the cancellation fees of previous appointment. This dental practice is a joke, they don't care about the patients and are not flexible or caring. Office staff if short, and don't empathize with any situation about cancelling an appointment. read more

I know they expect this review from me because I was fuming to receive a late fee with a bill I never knew existed. Of course, they said they mailed it. The point is not so much paying a late fee if it was my mistake I would gladly pay for it, but I didn't receive any bill and like I told them a curtesy call about the bill I didn't know existed would of been nice or if they would of charged me originally instead of estimating a charge. If they get away with this with every patient it's a good scam in making extra money. I will never refer anyone to this office again or they will never receive my business. I haven't mentioned the way the doctor treated me the time I seen him for this original visit he was sick with the flu and acted like he didn't care. I understand you don't feel well then maybe you shouldn't be at work treated patients like they have no feelings. I am definitely searching for a different endodontics office. read more

My experience at this office was terrible. I saw Dr. Tarabishy. I am not sure if he actually graduated yet or is part of a apprentice program. This guy clearly has no idea how to do a root canal. My appointment was over 2 hours long. During the entire visit, "Dr." Tarabishy kept soliciting advice from who was clearly the senior doctor of the place. Even his assistant kept suggesting different tools to use during the entire process. The actual procedure did not hurt, but I had expected to get this done and over with in 1 visit. Much to my dismay, I was told I have to come back 2 weeks later to finish. So now I am out another day of work because they do not have weekend or evening hours. If I am paying "specialist" prices, like over $1000 for a root canal, the I expect an expert to work on me. Or at least someone who seems to know what they are doing. I almost asked him how many of these he has done. I doubt he has even hit double digits yet. I think the office staff tries to trick you into saying that they can get you in immediately...but that is just because no one else wants to see this guy either so he has tons of openings. Don't waste your time here. You would be better off having your own dentist do your root canal because they is nothing "Specialist" about Dr. Tarabishy. read more
