I needed to get my engagement ring and my wedding band soldered together, and I did not want to take them to some big box place that was going to ship them off to God knows where for a month, so I was looking for a local jeweler to do it. He had the project done the next day, so I was without my wedding rings for a very minimal time. Because of the type of stone that I have in my ring, it has to be soldered together with a laser, and I also have a very unique, vintage setting with a custom shaped wedding band that would be extremely obvious if it was misaligned even a tiny bit. The rings are put together so well, it is absolutely seamless! Both rings are aligned perfectly, you cannot even tell that they are soldered together, except the fact that they are very firmly and securely one piece. He was also kind enough to alter the ring holder necklace that I have, bending it just a little bit at the top so that my rings lay flat when I put them on the necklace

Dan looked at ring with lupe and stated he had a better instrument in back room. Dan was gone close to ten minutes,came out and offered $5,000...We had an appraisal from a Massachusetts Jeweler years earlier for $13,000+ so we returned ring to safe deposit box. Recently when selling some jewelery, we had the ring looked at by a fifth ave. jeweler, and he stated that Bigham's was a good offer...which begs the question! what transpired 3yrs ago in that backroom at Bigham. Tried to discuss the matter with Kathy (the owner) but it appears that either she is not getting the message,or she doesn't care. Recent telephone conversation with Dan did not resolve the matter. Unfortunately, both watches had the batteries last for only a year. After reading the reviews for Quality Time, we decided to give them a try. The shop is easy to find, it's in a good location off Tamiami Trail. The shop has an old time look with antique clocks on display. One clock even reminded me of a mantel clock that my grandparents had. If you don't like antiques, no worries, Noime was fast and efficient. He got to work right away and the four watches I bought in, were done after only a few minutes. The price of each watch was a little over ten dollars, much better than the overpriced mall! He said the batteries would last around a year and he didn't make overinflated claims about the battery life. Honesty in a business is always appreciated and I have no doubt he did a good job. This is a small business that I'm happy to recommend, a good price with quality work can be hard to find. Going forward, Quality Time will be our new watch repair store.
