To my surprise there was no line, no wait. I was met at the window by a friendly young man. The meds were ready and I was able to continue my errands. Easy peasy, just like I like!

I answered a call from Walgreens today and a recorded message started telling me there was a delay…read morein my prescription.....then it would repeat that ....again....and again.....and again. I called back. I was holding on the phone.....I did this for 40+ minutes and a real live female person answered the phone and said I will be with you in just a minute...after a while....I was disconnected and transferred to no-mans land where no one would answer the phone. I called back and now10 minutes, there are once again 2 customers ahead of me. And the computer lady keeps saying she is sorry to keep me waiting! Actually, if there were a minus.....I would give a minus 100. It is sad. This used to be a vibrant store full of staff who could help you in a reasonable time. The voice mail system is terrible. The store is under staffed. You walk in there and can't find anyone except in the pharmacy. There are still 2 callers ahead of me. Actually, I have been moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy...but I missed this one. I may be holding on this phone until my next birthday ...which is in November!!! and there are still 2 callers ahead of me. It is now 26 minutes holding. And they will be with me shorly. This is not a good experience. Their staff is assisting other customers. Please pick up the phone and don't hang up on me again! There are still 2 callers ahead of me.....at 32 minutes holding. Does anybody at Walgreens care? This is so past bad customer service...I think their customer service folks all ran away. Oh yeah! One caller ahead of me. Lets see if i get disconnected again. The lady on the recorded message now has static in her voice because she has talked so much! And, my phone is running out of juice. 46 minutes on hold now. Now 51 monutes. Wonder if AI would do better? 59 minutes at 7:15 PM. Well....she, the real person, answered and once again asked me to hold on....so here we go.....didn't wait for me to say no.....didn't say please. Now 1 hr +. Oh she came back. FINALLY!!!!!!!!! Over 2+ hours.... Final recorded message....I am sorry. We are having technical issues and are having trouble processing your call. Very thankful that 99% of pharmacists are ethical, and perform their jobs without including personal biases. But you won't find that at the Inverness store. This pharmacist has a history of such actions, including lying to prescribers about whether meds can be ordered, and refusing to stock meds despite having been requested by legitimate providers who verify authenticity of the prescriptions. Then the Gentry staff got furious and told me not to tell them how to practice, and to leave and never come back. A few weeks later I found out that a Medicare claim was filed for my having gotten a Covid shot there, with the date of service a few days AFTER I was in the office. I think they were vindictive and trying to stop me from getting Medicare from approving a Covid shot elsewhere, because they don't believe in Covid shots. I wrote to Mr. Gentry, the owner, and never heard back from him.

So thoroughly confused I called back because it sounded like he started in the middle of the conversation or had confused me with someone else. I was again yelled at but this time I asked for the pickup manager and after being asked to hold, I was hung up on again. I called back, angry that WM feels it's ok to call customers, yell at them and hang up on them, this time I spoke to a series a women who all identified themselves as the manager, clearly lying. Eventually, the phone was given to an adult supervisor Donna, I told her that before this encounter, I had adjusted the pickup time in an effort to avoid the rain and that when I realized on my way to WM that I wouldn't be able to avoid the rain, I planned to hold off on checking in so that the kids working the pickup area wouldn't have to get wet. So it was beyond insulting to get a call from some kid, yelling at me and then hanging up on me. Only to be followed by a series of conversations with women who behaved like children (Jasmine and Jessica, I believe) who have never interacted with the public/customers before. Once again, I was called by WM and yelled at and hung up on. If you allow children to represent you and you haven't bothered to do minimal customer service training with them, don't expect adults to put up with it. This interaction has caused me to cancel my WM annual membership and genuinely take my business elsewhere. For instance, Aldi's and Publix have never contacted me, yelled at me, hung up on me, lied to me or gaslit me. I think I'll shop there going forward.
