The inside is fun with lots of colorful decor and fresh fruits and veggies showcased behind the register. The menu is also pretty extensive, but since it's Fall Yall, I decided on a pumpkin smoothie! Sky was really helpful and friendly. My drink came up pretty quickly and it was good. But I'm not sure it was worth the $7-8 I paid for, especially since it was one of their mini sizes. Besides the price points of their menu items, I don't have any complaints and really did have a great experience otherwise. But just as often, you'll end up with what feels like a completely different product: poorly blended greens creating a very unappetizing color and texture, mushy fruit that's clearly past its prime, and a soupy base that makes the entire bowl difficult to eat. Call me cheap, but I've also noticed a concerning pattern where the quality of prep seems to correlate with whether I've added a tip to my mobile order... Since I always preorder through the app, I shouldn't have to worry about whether my meal will be prepared with care based on my tipping choice. Every customer deserves consistent quality regardless of the gratuity added, and this dynamic creates a situation where it feels like you're paying extra just to receive the expected product you're already paying a premium for. I had been coming here for almost a year now and the smoothies I've ordered had been consistently fresh, refreshing, revitalizing, delightful and hearty. My favorite smoothie is their pink flamingo and elderberry. Pink Flamingo consists of dragon fruit, strawberry, pineapple, coconut water and agave nectar. It tastes tangy with sweet citrus. The Elderberry is a blend with acerola cherry, blueberry, strawberry, cashew milk and agave. I like to customize my smoothie with less agave and to be able to taste every ingredients that my smoothie are packed with. I love coming here because Nékter Juice Bar does not use added sugar or other unhealthy ingredients. They have entirely transformed the juice bar experience into total ingredient transparency by eliminating hidden fillers, unnecessary sugars, processed ingredients, and artificial flavors from its entire menu. I'm not really sure what is up with this location but they consistently make awful smoothies. I've tried to give it a couple of tries and every time the smoothies proportions were way off. The pink flamingo smoothie -- my go-to -- was effectively a strawberry smoothie and not a pitaya one. The flavor and color were off. The turmeric smoothie was essentially a juice -- and in all, they don't blend the smoothies enough. I'm truly disappointed with this location and fully avoid it at this point. My fiancee and I were out running our weekend errands and were in the mood for a light brunch. Fortunately, this restaurant was located close to our last stop for the day and was exactly what we had in mind. We shared a Dragon Fruit Bowl and a Popeye's Acai Smoothie. Both were tasty, refreshing, and very satisfying. I must also say that food like this does leave us feeling healthier and more energetic, especially when compared to typical fast food. We usually prefer mango, durian, or green tea when ordering items like this. However, the dragon fruit turned out to a nice alternative that was a little less sweet. The color was also very appealing and this may now be our new favorite flavor. The flavor of the Popeye's smoothie was mostly acai and all the other flavors blended together very well. The service was prompt and friendly and the prices were reasonable for this type of franchise. Overall, our experience was comparable to our very first visit to Nekter (see our review from 11/6/2016) and we're glad to know there's another location closer to home. After coming here a few times & trying a few of the smoothie & bowl options, I have to say that for the amount of money you spend, it's not worth it. The things I didn't like - I've had the Banana Berry Burst which was completely tasteless ... I can make a better strawberry banana smoothie at home. Also, the Pink Flamingo which is supposedly the best seller in the store ... I thought it tasted really weird, my guess is because of the coconut water (but it was really bright & fun to look at if that matters to you). The two stars on their whole menu are the Date Nut smoothie & the PB bowl. Definitely stick to those if you go.
