He picked the table up and returned it. For those of you who do not know what a drum table is, the center of the table goes around. Mine was badly broken causing the top to be very tilted. I told Mr Burkett, if he could not fix the table to turn and just have the top be connected to the part that turns, I would have him do the job. He came over and looked at it and said he was pretty confident he could fix it. I also have my grandmother's secretary and one of the doors was too warped to close, he fixed that too and now it closes perfectly.

When he came to pick it up, he noticed the family photos on my wall and asked which folks the sofa had belonged to, and his genuine interest meant a lot to me. (He is clearly in the right line of work!) The final cost was only a little bit more than the initial estimate (this sofa was in BAD shape, which I could not fully capture in the photos I emailed him), and he got it back to me two weeks earlier than planned. Lisa is very skilled and knowledgable as she offered to make arm covers with the new upholstery. However, through research and trying new sofas that offer higher seating, I decided it would be best to go with an option where I would sit higher, making it easier to stand back up after sitting for a while - that's not as easy as it used to be at my age now.
