A place where everybody knows your name! Friendly staff always willing to help you find what you are looking for or figure out your project. They do a good job at trying to taylor their store selection to the local community, for a small hardware store, it's pretty well stocked. If they don't have it, they will get you connected with a nearby store to help you get it. Beats getting lost at the big orange box store. read more

I always get the best customer service there. Be sure to check out the Sale Plant Area. I found some great plants for $2 and a tree for $29! I found some canning jars and pickle spice packages and some dog treats. They have so much to look at. They even help you carry your purchases out to your car. A couple of weeks ago our air conditioner broke down, they ordered a window model for us and it came in a couple of days! I placed a online order for an outdoor clothes dryer from a local large chain store. It was so cheap with plastic fittings. IT wasn't going to last more then 3 months. So I returned it and decided to order one from Nelsons Ace Hardware in Kingsburg. The same day that i ordered it, they called me that my online order was ready for pickup. I couldn't believe how fast they where. I picked the box up and it was noticeably heavier than the first. I Got it home took it out of the box and was super excited that it was made very well. With galvanized steel center post and frame. No plastic anywhere. The line didn't even sag when I put wet clothes on them like they did with the other one I first bought. Owner Does Not Take COVID-19 Seriously! I went to the ACE Hardware store, about two months ago, as one of my sprinkler valves was leaking and needed to be fixed, immediately. When I walked into the store, no one was wearing a mask and there was no social distancing. I asked an employee about the store's safety protocol and the employee stated to me, that they did not have any safety protocols, "as the virus was not a big deal", I advised the employee, that it really was a big deal, as my sister was in the ICU with COVID-19 and I hadn't seen my daughter in over 3 months. He didn't even seem to care and offered no condolences for my sister, who died 6 days later from COVID-19. I, later, called the Selma store to file a complaint and was advised that the uncaring employee that spoke to me was the owner. To this day; I have not received any form of apology from the owner! At this time, I am and recommended others to boycott Nelson ACE Hardware. Shopping with them will not be a "big deal" with me, as they don't care about me or any of their other customer's safety! read more
