And my toddler got a full kit (snow bib, jacket, boots, mittens, and goggles). ALL of this for a fraction of the cost to buy. However, the best part was I had to pack NONE of it. It was delivered to my lodge, we used it, repacked it, and it was picked up by FedEx from the lodge to go back to KitLender. I think it was the least stressful part of our family vacation (lol). Absolute failure when it mattered most…read more I ordered ski clothing from Kit Lender for 9 people nearly a full month in advance (28 days) for what was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime family trip to Big Sky. We did everything right to avoid issues. Kit Lender did everything wrong. When FedEx tracking showed delays, I proactively contacted the company on December 31. I was reassured they were "working on options." That reassurance turned out to be meaningless. Fast forward to January 2, the night before our 8am flight, and suddenly I'm told nothing can be done. It gets worse. When I called customer service, I was actually told that I should drive to Billings, Montana to pick up the shipment myself from a FedEx warehouse. Let that sink in. Their proposed solution was that I abandon my travel plans to fix their logistics failure. I asked a very reasonable question: why not arrange Saturday delivery, since the items were already sitting at the Billings FedEx facility? I was told a manager named Ben would call me back after speaking with FedEx. He never did. Instead, Ben sent a dismissive email claiming FedEx doesn't deliver to business addresses on weekends. I immediately responded clarifying that we were staying in a private home, not a business. No response. I called again asking for Ben. The person who answered hesitated, clearly knew who I was, and said "uhhh... is this Nikki?" before telling me Ben would call me shortly. He never did. I have now called four times and am sent straight to voicemail. No callback. No urgency. No ownership. Here's the part that matters most: This was a bucket-list trip for my mother, who has breast cancer. She asked for her children and their partners to take her skiing in Big Sky. We spent an enormous amount of money on this trip. And thanks to Kit Lender's complete lack of accountability, we are arriving with no ski clothing for anyone and scrambling at the last minute to fix a problem that should never have happened. Yes, they offered a refund. And then they disappeared. Refunds don't fix ruined plans. Refunds don't replace lost time. Refunds don't excuse a total failure of customer care when things go wrong. Every company looks good when everything goes smoothly. Kit Lender showed exactly who they are when things were in distress. The answer was silence, deflection, and indifference. If your trip matters to you, do not trust this company. When it counted, they did not care -- not about our vacation, not about solutions, and certainly not about their customers.

They sized my foot and convinced me that my toe should be touching the top of the boot, so I trusted their expertise and went with the purchase after having custom made foot beds placed. Trying boots on in the store is different than on the hill, as we all know. I regret buying these boots after wearing them for the past 2 seasons. My toes, feet, and legs hate them. ive gone back to the store multiple times to tell them the boots are too small, they've tried making adjustments for me, which i appreciate, but it doesn't fix the problem. i dont recommend going here because they might size you too small/aggressively.

The experience was superb. The store takes a smallish footprint on Mountain Road on the way to the Stowe resort. Plenty of seating, well-stocked displays and a friendly and attentive shopkeeper. The technology is quite different than when I made by Surefoot boots at Whistler many years ago. Much more of a comfortable experience, and with the attendant explaining every step of the process. The boots now have Integrated heaters to make even a more pleasant experience. Yes they are not cheap but considering that boots are the number one determinant of both, enjoyment of the sport as well as performance on the snow, custom made boots are a great value. And my sister in law got a really nice ski helmet on sale, on top of that. Happy customers throughout.

We tried to climb multiple times and were told to come back. When we did come back at the right time (two separate times) they said the time changed. They don't let you reserve in advance (which would alleviate this problem) but most of all the staff was super rude and went out their way to be unhelpful (Katelyn from st albans - most of all). They could easily have helped but they did not and walked away with us standing there with upset kids (for the third time) For a cost and supposed level of service-- this is shocking. Been a big advocate of this resort my whole life but the atmosphere has sadly changed.

Inside the upper building, there are shops, restaurant, a coat section with warm setting, and restrooms. We weren't having lunch here, it was packed! We already made plans, to eat elsewhere. Going up or down, even though it was foggy, and spitting, we were able to enjoy some of the view of the season! The gondola ride was still pretty amazing, being up there. It was fun!

My only (very minor) disappointment was that the green hat that I bought to match the jersey I also bought was a children's hat. I missed that at time of purchase and didn't realize it until we were back at our rental for the night. It's okay, I brought it back the next day and they were cool about it and let me swap my kids hat for a different adult-size hat, even though they didn't have any green adult hats. I wish we had a few extra days in the area, I would have loved to join some of the local group rides that seem to meet here to ride regularly. We did eat lunch here one of the days. It was so nice to eat outside. There was a good flow of people in and out, but it didn't feel overwhelmingly busy. We had a group of 8, and yet everything arrived just as quickly as we ordered it. The pork was perfectly tender but tasted flavorless (until I added hot sauce and salt). I would also recommend they serve the dish with pico de gallo or salsa to boost the flavor. We had the same feeling with the burrito bowls. Two of us ordered different burritos (opting for bowls instead of tortillas), and we both thought the flavor was just okay. And on top of that, both of our bowls were lukewarm. In fact, the entrées weren't even hot enough to melt the cheese. I wish I would have sent the food back, but we were in a bit of a hurry. Finally, my friend James ordered the Chicken Quesadilla, which he also thought was "just okay." Oh, and we noted that a table near us sent back food... so not sure what was up with that, but we we weren't surprised based on our overall experience.
