I cannot tell you how patient everyone was with me from Kelly Hernandez, the lead surgical assistant to Donna, the x-ray technician all the way to Dr. Kennon himself. Mike, his PA was also highly competent. Everyone was proficient in their area and also extremely kind when answering what I'm sure were my silly questions. Dr. Kennon went out of his way to explain what would happen on the day of surgery and even called me the night before surgery. The surgery itself was highly successful. I feel 10 years younger with my new knee. I would recommend Dr. Kennon without caveat. He and his staff are truly a rare find.

From my very first consultation through my hip replacement surgery and recovery, Dr. Kennon demonstrated exceptional skill, professionalism, and compassion. He took the time to explain every step of the process, clearly answered all of my questions with patience, and made me feel confident and cared for. Both surgeries went very smoothly, and my recovery has been remarkable--I'm walking more comfortably and regaining mobility. Dr. Kennon's expertise and warm, reassuring manner made a difficult experience much easier. I am deeply grateful for his dedication and for the outstanding care I received from him, his staff, and the care givers at Mid-State Medical Center in Meriden. The hospital staff was amazing! If you are considering hip replacement surgery, I strongly recommend Dr. Kennon.

Pleasant folks answer the phone but apparently don't do anything with what they hear. Massive numbers of employees but very little gets done in a timely error free manor. Almost all doctors offices except the smaller solo practices work this way as they are managed by business entities who have no clue how to manage. So yes Dr Moy and no yo his pile of fo nothing bureaucrats.

I went in today 10/23/25 for my first appointment I got to the office at 8:33am after having issues finding the office which I told to the 3 receptionist (Hallie, Brianne and Laura)who immediately started being upset that I was late. My appointment was for 8:40am they then said they don't think I can be seen dispute it still being before my appointment time due to me not coming in with the paperwork filled out. I was told the paperwork would be mailed to me prior to this 1st appointment, which did not happen and I told them this as well and they act like I was lying. Laura the receptionist said she had to ask the doctor if she will still see me but she didn't think they would. She then started to go to the back office I then asked her for the contact information for corporate because this was just crazy and did not sound like a policy. So I asked for a copy of this policy. I waited until 8:55am when the office manager Latoya came out and I spoke with her telling her most of the issues along with the way I saw them treat different patients. Example- Another patient came in and didn't complete her paperwork and she was told she can see the doctor and bring the paperwork back before she leaves. I was then told to return to the waiting room until she sees if the doctor can still see me. My appointment was scheduled with Dr. Hulinska. I sat in the waiting room until 10:24 am and went to the receptionist desk twice requesting them to call the office manager Latoya to see if I can be seen. At that time Laura the receptionist asked me for my Id and insurance card (which no one did from 8:33am when I arrived) I asked if I would be seen I was told probably. I then asked for the office manager Latoya so I can know if I'll be seen before giving them my insurance card and I'd. The office manager Latoya came out at 10:33am told me they can not see me today, and rescheduled my appointment today 11/7/25 at 1:40pm and handed me a copy of the no show policy which she was trying to use to justify why I can't be seen for me appointment today. I told her this isn't correct because I didn't miss my appointment I am here. Latoya the office manger then became upset and told me I am antagonizing and confrontational due to me asking about the policy I was given. Latoya then became more upset when I said what they are doing is wrong to have me sitting all this time to then say they can't see me and give me a no show policy. Latoya then told me that maybe I should go to another office as she don't think they can't care for me there. I then said I never said that as I have not gotten out the waiting room so I asked if she is saying that she plans to cancel my rescheduled appointment on 11/7/25 at 1:40pm she said no. I then requested a copy of my current appointment that I was told by Latonya that they canceled and she went through the roof and said no she can't give that to me as it's their document as I am not a patient. I was then told by Latoya the office manager that she will have me removed from the waiting area and that she was going to cancel my rescheduled appointment, which she then did. Latonya then proceeded to call 911 at 10:33am and told them that I was a threat because I took her picture. Officers came and I told them what happened Latonya spoke to them in the back and I asked for a case number. Someone needs to look into this so call practice they are horrible, rude, unprofessional, nasty, and don't follow any kind of policy that they can't give to you in black and white. I warn everyone stay away from them they will do more harm. Please look at the reviews I wish I did before I went to the office. They have a rating of 2.5.Patients are going to the office for help and care and that isn't what you will get

I feel decades younger and am pain free. Aftercare in the subsequent five years has been fabulous. Dr. Keggi effectively diagnosed a hip problem that was nerve related (and nothing to do with my hip implant which continues to function perfectly). Even before Covid changed options for care delivery, Dr. Keggi and his team accommodated virtual visits (saving me a drive of 450 miles round trip), where other providers, who I considered, were rigidly expecting in-office visits. Original 2018 review: Recently had Birmingham hip resurfacing done by Dr. John Keggi at St Francis Hospital. Dr. Keggi, his office staff and all the staff, from Admission through discharge were, without exception, outstanding. In particular, they were organized, professional, polite, precise and clearly explained all the steps in the process.

It kept telling me to turn after Dollar General, but the building is before then. There's some work being done to the front of the building, if that helps. The waiting area for the first floor was nice. There's a prompter if you are unsure where you are going. My Dr was on the 2nd floor. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by both receptionist. They were very kind and did my check in fine. After checkin they told me where the restrooms and water station were located. I thought that was neat because I have anxiety and probably wouldn't have asked. My wait wasn't even 5 minutes. I was referred here for hematology due to iron deficiency. Dr Fitzgerald was amazing. She brainstormed with me to try and pinpoint possible factors to my deficiency. She gave me options for the next steps, which I loved. She had me do blood work and explained that the lab was literally right next to the waiting area. To be seen at the lab I had to ask the check out receptionist for a number. There was only one person ahead of me. I was in and out of the lab. Then I went back to check out to schedule my iron fusion. The entire visit was pleasant, all the staff were very kind.

The last thing the Dr. Medrano's office told me before I wrote this review (regarding asking the other doctor that was familiar with my moms case" is, "That doctors office is really hard to get a hold of so I recommend hospice." Absolutely ridiculous. If you're unfortunate enough to be one of Dr. Medrano's patients, get ready to advocate for yourself or your loved one.
