I was assigned to this group by my insurance company for a primary care group. I have had 4…read moreinteractions with their front desk staff. When I tried to schedule my first appointment the staff person complained about being overworked and couldn't find an appointment for at least 10 weeks, stating I was lucky to get in that early. Because I am dealing with a serious illness I asked my insurance company to call yo get an earlier appt. What do you know? When the person paying their bills phones low and behold an appointment opened up weeks earlier. When I scheduled an appointment staff said they would send paperwork. It hadn't arrived in two weeks so I called back and asked them to resend. Again I was met with a hostile attitude and told two weeks was too soon to bother them. I had to call back a 3rd time before they agreed to mail the forms. Because the first forms went into the void, when my mother was near their office she stopped by to pick up a set just in case these 2nd ones never show. Upon asking staff for a standard set of paperwork the staff became hostile, complained about their job and were openly angry about having to hand a pile of forms to someone. Since this is the behavior which is acceptable and the staff is so put out a out doing their job I am seeking other docs. Clearly asking for something like sending lab requests will be too much effort for their staff. I don't have the energy to call multiple times, be met with angry and hostile staff who cannot just do a really simple task. Sad such shitty behavior is acceptable.

Skipping to the chase, this review is for;…read more Thomas T. Paukert, 'MD', 'nephrologist'! The 'chase'; He's incompetent, forgetful, has an over-inflated ego, lousy communication, assumes that you are an idiot, if you aren't a 'doctor', and he just doesn't care! He's hanging onto whatever shred of medical practice he once had, buffering that retirement as much as possible before he gets finally sued out of business, or dies! He is irrelevant, useless, incompetent, and the only satisfaction that this fossil has given me, is the knowledge that he will die before I do (no thanks to him!)!! I imagine the pansies at Yelp will bury this, but it is a truthful warning! It is worth driving an extra 50 miles to fine a competent nephrologist! This guy is already dead and rotting, and is too egotistical to know it! I give this old incompetent foo, who doesn't know when to quit, l give him a HUGE thumb's down!! And good riddance!

The doctor here was fine, I thought…read more The staff is another story. I had an appointment set up FOR MONTHS for January 24, 2025, and the day before the appointment, they called me to tell me they were canceling the appointment because I needed blood work BEFORE the appointment. That was THEIR job to tell me that in advance of the appointment, and they had nearly 3 months since the previous appointment to do it, not the day before, but WHAT DO THEY CARE that I'm now OUT of medication and I had already booked my entire day of OTHER appointments and errands around that appointment which involves 30+ minutes to and from Yuba City in each direction. So now I STILL have to go to Yuba City tomorrow for everything else, but not for this, the main reason I was going in the first place. I asked to speak to the doctor and was told I couldn't, so I told his staff member to tell the doctor he was fired and for her to F*CK off. The incompetence and the lack of caring here is so mind boggling for simple things like scheduling and getting blood work in advance that THEY NEED TO TELL YOU ABOUT IN A TIMELY FASHION that it REALLY makes me question the medical advice as well. I AM DONE with this sh*thole place. I am NOT putting up with this never ending stupidity and a staff that doesn't even care if not coming in means you don't have anymore medication either. After this call I called up my doctor who referred me to this nephrologist and told him this nephrologist was "fired" and I'm not going back or working with them. Instead, I go tomorrow (now) to see MY doctor to discuss in person and get referred to a NEW nephrologist who has a competent staff who doesn't treat me like an object instead of a person, and who has some empathy and compassion for other people. That's now tomorrow 20 minutes in one direction, 20 minutes back, 30+ minutes to Yuba City to do everything EXCEPT what I was originally organizing that date around on Friday, and 30+ back after that -- and still after ALL THAT I will at some point have to have THIS appointment with a nephrologist with a DIFFERENT nephrologist at a DIFFERENT time, and even more wasteful driving, all because this doctor's staff can't do their job. If you've got staff that absolutely don't care about patients, I don't care if you are a decent doctor, all of you should be looking for something else to do with your lives. I doubt the staff here would even make it working a drive-thru. Goodby to all of you and good riddance. I hope your lives are just as awful as you make it for others.
