I want to begin by expressing my sincere appreciation for the Aquarium show on Friday, July 25th. It was an enjoyable and engaging event, and I was especially impressed by Elijah's professionalism and courtesy. His positive attitude and knowledge truly stood out. Unfortunately, a distressing situation that followed my visit has deeply affected my experience with your store. I purchased a Golden Dojo Loach, which died less than 24 hours later. Shortly after introducing it to my tank, my betta fish--who I had gotten on Father's Day and had cared for over the past two months--began to show signs of illness. This fish held deep sentimental value for me, as I got it shortly after the tragic passing of my father in a car accident. As a veterinary technician working in the exotic animal field, I was quick to recognize the symptoms and took immediate steps to quarantine the affected fish. I later learned that all of the Dojo Loaches at your store had also died, confirming that the fish I purchased was infected and introduced illness into my aquarium. This was not the result of negligence on my part--I maintain a clean and well-monitored tank. The source of the infection was the fish your store sold me. When I reached out to explain the situation and express my distress, I was met not only with a dismissive response--"It is what it is"--but also with laughter, as though the situation were humorous. I found this response deeply unprofessional and frankly hurtful, especially considering the emotional context and the effort I've put into caring for my animals. I had to spend $96 on medication to try to save the remaining fish in my tank--treatment that should never have been necessary. I did not infect my tank; your store did, and yet I was left to bear the financial burden. As someone who works in the veterinary field, I fully understand that animal loss can and does happen. What made this situation so disappointing was not the loss itself, but the careless and unempathetic way it was handled. The lack of accountability and professionalism, combined with the visibly poor conditions in your store, left me extremely concerned. I'm sharing this feedback in hopes that it leads to positive change. I urge you to take a closer look at your store's health practices and customer care policies to prevent similar situations from happening in the future. read more

It's 2025 and it's a new year and it's time to get rid of bad rubbish. This place charges extra 10% for fish and an extra 10% for coral then any place in Fort Lauderdale. The owner Tony will talk in Portuguese behind the customers back so they do not know what he is saying. He is not an honorable man. Best aquarium show in broward county. Large selection, friendly staff, beautiful store. All fish tanks are kept well and honestly beautiful. The planted show tanks are incredible. They are the reason I got into planted tanks. Huge selection of both fish and fish needs. Not a big selection of tanks due to space being limited and tanks taking up a ton of real estate but everything you could possibly need is here at aquarium show. From plants to fish to coral this is a one stop shop. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and honestly helpful and willing to help too which is impossible to find these days. Best part about this shop: it's local. In a pinch you may find what you need. Stuff is rather pricey but that is to be expected from a smaller shop. Been to the place a few times because it is local and I prefer to support local businesses. Went in today and circled the shop. Was not acknowledged or even looked at. So, I walked out not spending any money. This place lost business because a simple "hello" wasn't uttered. I'll gladly drive to Pembroke Pines and trade at Beverly's. Found this amazing local shop on yelp and has great reviews. I am starting a reef set up and went in to ask questions. The owner Antonio was great. He spent close to an hour with us explaining things. He could have sold us things we didn't need but he was honest and started guiding us in the right direction. Steer clear the water is bad in the Tanks. The fish die in your perfectly ballanced test tank. The owner Tony is a liar. He will say anything to you to sell you a fish. If you are new to saltwater stay as far away from this place as possible you will waste lots of money there. read more

So my family and I were at Laser Quest and we saw these flags "aquarium". We had time between the next game so we decided to pass by. They are in the corner of the shopping center which is not easily viewed. The place is SPOTLESS & ORGANIZED! The tank displays are gorgeous. They even have chairs so you can stare at their pre-setup tanks. They have a very good assortment of fish fresh and salt. The one thing I really appreciated was their fish look HEALTHY. You didn't walk by the tanks and saw dead fish floating or anything so you can tell they pay attention and care for their fish. They had a HUGE assortment of products. Whenever you think of a local shop you think higher prices. Everything was priced adequately. I bought two silver dollars and 3 angel fish. I wish they were closer honestly. I live in North Miami and driving all the way to them is unrealistic but when I'm in the area I'll stop by. Oh and i forgot the customer service! 5 start customer service, greeted immediately helpful and knowledgeable!! Def go check this place out. read more

My experience at The Aquarium show was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. All they care about is robbing your pockets and nothing about there fish. If you want a low quality fish come to this shop the fish poop out parasites and they try to cover it up. Your fish will also die immediately with pristine water conditions because the water perimeters they put their fish in are such low quality. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. Saw a little sign while leaving the gym next door, and came inside a fish haven. It is extremely clean and well kept, with the first thing you see as you walk in are beautiful tanks full of exotic fish. They have any type of fish equipment you need for your tank. There are lots of exotic fresh/salt water fish, as well as plants. The owners are extremely nice and knowledgeable about their business. They even gave us suggestions about which fish we should have in our tank. This is a better place for your water pets than any other pet store in the broward area. read more

This shop is fantastic! Excellent selection of fresh and salt livestock, corals and plants. As a freshwater aquarists, finding a shop with an abundance of HIGH QUALITY plants is so tough but this place is a gem. They had multiple pots of Dwarf Baby Tears, Monte Carlo and other high tech plants, in addition to the ferns, repens, and mosses you'd expect. They also had beautiful tropical fish, shrimp (amano, rcs, crs, blue rilli, etc.) and even the more niche livestock like puffers. The shop is clean and the tanks are immaculate. This shop is PRO! You can tell a lot about this place from the organized nature, BEAUTIFUL tank systems, and boutique style. Best looking aquaculture shop I've been in. Tony was very helpful and cared about what I'm trying to do with my saltwater Nano-tank. He offered great advice and didn't try to sell me anything, rather explained things simply so I can make an informed decision. Legit the best fish store around.!!!! As soon as you walk in you feel like your at a real proffesional fish store.! Everything is always kept nice and clean. I have been to other fish stores in the area. ( dirty floors/ tank lights flickering, and dirty water ). They have a big variety of fresh and saltwater as wel as live plants which is what I go for most. Even if they dont have it you can place an order. Hes always stocked with plants and fish. As a freshwater hobbyist for many years, I was concerned that my options for a nice, healthy selection of fish was becoming very limited. Even the smaller shops that have been around for many years have declined in selection, cleanliness and quality. I said to myself "If someone would open a nice , well run, well stocked aquarium shop in Broward County, there are enough freshwater hobbyists that would support it". True hobbyists know that we are willing travel great distances to check out a new shop or visit one we really like. I think this could be that shop. They have a nice selection of cichlids (African and South American) , a nice selection of tetras, barbs and schooling fish (species you won't find at the usual places), beautiful discus, lots of oddballs. Great selection of live plants, too. Not to mention that they also have a nice selection of saltwater fish and corals that are equally nice.! Tanks are Immaculate. Their product selection is all better and best. Lots of professional diets, supplements and conditioners. And lastly, friendly, helpful, knowledge people.
