Updated: I'm reducing my rating to one star due to the nasty tone of the business owner's response to my review, and his false representation of our private communications. Be aware that if you do business with this company and report a neutral or negative experience the owner will insult you and misrepresent their interactions with you. Previous review, now amended as above: They seem like they're probably a good business to work with if they deign to work with you, but after expressing interest in the work I needed done they left me waiting for 3 weeks for a response and when I finally followed up, they misspelled my name (which was RIGHT THERE ON THE SCREEN IN FRONT OF THEM - a personal pet peeve) and said they aren't interested. I guess if you have a high-dollar and easy project and can wait a few weeks for a response, it's worth a try. Message me if you've found a great handyman in LA, it's a challenge and I'll still be looking... Giving 3 stars only because I don't think it's worth one-starring just for poor communication when I can't evaluate their work, but 3 weeks is way too long to leave a customer hanging. read more

I will start this by saying that I work with many clients who often request the service of a 'handyman' for the purpose of mounting a tv or pictures or assistance with assembly or what-have-you... this often falls into the hands of a variety of people, most who are not equipt to do all jobs necessary. I will say, be it a flatscreen install or furniture assembly or debugging a wonky wifi, then this is the company for you!! Miles is simply the best. Not only is he fully prepared for all installation needs - his calm and professional demeanor make the overall experience so smooth and wonderful. He also ran out to get us the proper equipment for an install we thought we had but did not... lovely. Everything we tasked Miles to do, including some things like moving rugs and such that might seem to fall outside the scope, Miles didn't flinch a bit. He got the job done and done well. Miles was able to fit me into his busy schedule on very short notice. This was important to me as I was up against a deadline, readying a condo for sale. He took care of a long list of repairs in under three hours, much of the list involving electrical work. Everything was done rapidly & precisely. Neatly & cleanly as well which counts for a lot. A few days after his first visit, I decided to take care of some additional electrical work. Again, Miles was able to accommodate me despite a major project he was in the middle of. I had set an appointment with Miles yesterday to come in this morning to install a window a/c unit. Usually those are easy to self install, but I am on the 2nd floor of an apartment building with glass slats, so you'd have to build a base for the unit. Miles helped my daughter rehab and retrofit an apartment and install wallpaper. Everything went smoothly (even when circumstances beyond his/our control created problems) and all got done perfectly He has that rare combination of skill, talent, reliability, courtesy and decency. No matter how small--or frustrating--the job, he arrives on time, does top quality work, and charges a fair price. That he also has a great sense of proportion/color (a nice, but unnecessary, surprise for our projects) would be a huge bonus where design decisions have not already been made.
