And what better place than the shop I used to go to back in the 90's. Now I've never been to the woodlands location before. It's in that waterway district near the mall and so parking was sure to be a B. But this being thanksgiving week it actually wasn't half bad. The shop is smaller than the Richmond location. But that's just more goodness compressed into a TLP. There are no birthday specials alas. But they did have some free samples of tiramisu. It was good but I had to get my favorites. J's birthday cake and the Big O. The birthday cake is thicker like brownie than some of the other chocolate cakes. I can't describe the frosting this go around because my punk kid at all the frosting off it while my attention was focused on the Big O. But the cake part was moist. As for the Big O it was Ooooohhh. No When Harry Met Sally diner scene experience. But it was F'n awesome. Staff was super helpful and nice. Wanted to eat more but my blood sugar wouldn't tolerate it.

I shared with the person behind the counter that there is a nut allergy in our family and she was helpful in telling us what to avoid. Tip-- they did share that they don't regularly disclose if something that nuts (peanuts or tree nuts) so if you have an allergy, make sure you tell them so they can help! There were a small set of tables to sit inside and enjoy your treats if you wanted to. We got a variety of things to share, tres leches (this is okay, a little sweet and pretty standard), tiramisu, pecan pie bar (delicious but crumbly/messy to eat), Oreo truffles and confetti truffles (my nieces and nephew absolutely loved these)! It was pretty pricey, but always happy to support local businesses!

The online menu makes it look like you can get shaved ice, or ice cream, or they'll do a basic layering for you. In person there are all kinds of complex and tasty-looking combinations. The menu names are kind of a mouthful and I don't remember them correctly. What I got was a German Chocolate cake themed creation, with peanut butter ice cream, coconut ice and shavings, and cake crumbles. It looked like the assembly took several steps. I was the only one in the shop at the time so my food came out quickly. It was excellent, so much going on and I savored it. The decor is fun, lots of bright colors, with very basic furniture and a concrete floor. Interesting classic and alt-rock playlist. The men's room was clean and ready (they have gendered restrooms, not sure why, I bet they are exactly the same). Service was fine. If you want other options like coffee or food your choice would be Sweet Dreams nearby, but this place has more variety in the frozen items. It's a nice change from froyo. We'll be back.

Lacking in flavor and overpriced. $20 for a combo. Lemon chicken soup was not good I ended up not eating it. It had a thick consistency with shredded pieces of chicken. Baklava was good My mom said the chocolate cake was OK. She likes the lemon square also and said it was not too sweet. Overall the place was just ok. Nothing to run to. Greek food is my favorite and I've tried better places. I did notice that they had Pakistan good as well as Indian. If I do return, I may try the butter chicken next time.

Euro Bakery makes custom cakes, desserts, & pastries. Many of their cakes are displayed for purchase at the counter as well as pastries and more. Perfect spot for lunch, enjoying a treat, or grabbing coffee. Besides desserts, they also have a full kitchen menu. I loved the chicken sandwich. They were out of croissants but I actually really enjoyed it on pita. The gyro sandwich was also really good. Fast and friendly service, really great prices! My sandwich was right around $8. Parking onsite. Nice interior dining space. It did seem like they were out of quite a few items on the menu but I think Hurricane Beryl might have contributed to that and is understandable. The lady we ordered with also gave us a complimentary pistachio baklava to try when we ordered their original baklava, which we thought was super nice. We will definitely go back and keep them in mind next time we need a custom cake!

We had a couple apps (they were ok) and split the duck mole and crispy potatoes. The mole here is one of my favs in Houston. It changes a little depending on the season but is always really good. And the potatoes have a flavor profile unlike any other potatoes in Houston. Dessert was strawberry cake and it was very light and not overly sweet. Perfect ending. The service also deserved a mention. It was pouring rain and the only reason I kept my reservation is because it was our anniversary and my wife really wanted to go. We were a little wet when we arrived and the staff was very accommodating to make sure we felt comfortable. They had some champagne for us and made sure to put us in a back table where it was a little more quiet given the occasion. I can't stress enough how good their service was. We just came off visits to two other places we frequent a lot in the Heights area (both are very well known) and the service was a nightmare. Thank you guys for such a great visit!

Parking was expected to be an issue as the lot is shared with other businesses in the center, but was not an issue for an early evening Saturday. But parking can be an issue at times, I was told. The restaurant is small with only tables and maybe 4-5 seats at the small bar. We arrived about 15 minutes before our 6:45pm reservation and had to wait due to no available tables, but that was not a showstopper. The noise level was moderate throughout our stay such that one could easily carry on a conversation with table mates without having to scream. Almost all patrons were nicely dressed. Since this is a Michelin acknowledged restaurant two years in a row, we were expecting uniqueness and we were not disappointed. That said, food was very good, but I would not rate it as spectacular. The blue fin tuna tostados were delightful and hands down the best dish we had. Ceviche mixto was excellent with a just a hint of heat. I would order these two appetizer dishes again. Main courses consisted of duck 2 ways, redfish with green mole and risotto, spring cavatelli, and grilled shrimp & pork belly. All were delicious and uniquely tasty with the exception of the duck. Mind you, I really like duck and the sliced portions were excellent and perfectly seasoned and moist, but the pate-like accompaniment was not that good, plus the mole sauce was not what I was expecting. Table sides of Brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower were good but nothing special. The Eton Mess with strawberries was simply delicious. Would I go back? Maybe, but not anytime soon.

We had a voucher for a complimentary dessert soufflé, but the savory option sounded too far tempting to pass up. So we gave in and ordered both! The Jambon & Gruyère Soufflé was the perfect balance of a custardy, airy, and fluffiness. The Strawberry Soufflé arrived looking stunning, the dramatic slow pour built the right amount of excitement, and the first bite was absolutely worth the wait. A cappuccino was essential to round out the sweetness of the dessert. While the lack of latte art was a bit letdown, it was still a great pairing. We truly enjoyed every moment with one more voucher waiting to redeem. We're excited to return during night time for a different experience.

I find this a bit high for afternoon dining and all we had to drink was iced tea. My marshmallow soup had a good flavor but it was served warm and not hot which ruined the soup for me. For my entree I had the mushroom soufflé. The portion is huge and although it tasted good the texture gets very boring and monotonous. The strawberry dessert soufflé was also very large and came with a sweet sauce that you're supposed to pour onto it. It was mushy and soupy and extremely sweet. The apricot iced tea was the star of the show. I'm glad I experienced Rise Soufflé but I'm afraid it's a One & Done for me.
