Sarah is beyond incredible and 100% saved my sanity before and after giving birth. I had one virtual appointment before I gave birth with Sarah to get an idea of things which made me feel so much more comfortable and have a leg up on breastfeeding once I delivered. I delivered on a Friday but didnt have my next appointment with Sarah until Tuesday. Before I left the hospital I was really struggling with breastfeeding and feeling so low. Sarah got on a call with me so fast to go over a few things which put me at ease and helped so much until I could see her in person. I was in tears trying to feed before I talked to Sarah. She totally calmed my nerves and supported me. The nurses in the hospital are great but they are in and out. Sarah took time on her weekend to help me as long as I needed. When Sarah did come to my house for in person visit it was the best thing. She did a weighted feed which made me so happy knowing that things were working correctly and my baby was getting food. She not only helped me with all things breastfeeding she also helped me setup my pump properly for when I started including pumping in my routine in week 2. I can't say enough about how grateful I am for Sarah's help throughout my breastfeeding journey! My only regret is not finding her sooner. I struggled with supply and my daughter wasn't gaining enough weight - we made many trips to the pediatrician's office for weight checks with not enough progress. Sarah came to our home and brought such a calm presence during a very stressful time. We talked about options and made a game plan and she has been an amazing resource for anything nursing/baby feeding related. Sara is absolutely amazing. She came to me and also let me know that she might be able to take my insurance. She was upbeat very positive and overall good energy. She advised me while assuring me that many of the things I was doing were right. She was so patient and knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions. She came with a baby scale so we were able to measure how much my baby consumed. I looked forward to her returning for a follow up visit but the first visit resolved the problem. She even had a nipple shield that I needed. She was so amazing. Being a new mom for the fifth time was so challenging for me but I walked away from the visit with a high spirit of hope. Now three months later my baby is off the nipple shield and eating like a pro. I strongly recommend you consult with her and don't wait until you feel hopeless to do it. Do it early! read more

Our pediatrician recommended Sarah since we were having latching problems and needed some extra help both with that and weaning off a nipple shield. To let someone into your private space with a new baby can be emotional and tender, and Sarah was gentle and very supportive. She understood the frustration I was having with the nipple shield and gave me a guided plan to slowly wean off it. At first I really didn't think it was going to work but I stuck with her plan and it did! She also answered a lot of questions I had later on via email and was just a huge support during the entire journey. I cannot say enough amazing things about Sarah and her lactation support! I got Sarah's info from my doula, and I am forever grateful she connected me with her. Like most first-time-moms, the idea of breastfeeding felt daunting and anxiety-provoking, especially while recovering from birth and feeling super sleep-deprived. My daughter had a lot of difficulty latching, seemed to despise breastfeeding, and this in turn caused us both a lot of stress! With Sarah's help, she encouraged my daughter be assessed by a pediatric dentist or ENT to check for a tongue tie. Sure enough, she had both a tongue AND lip tie. No wonder she couldn't latch well! Despite our initial struggles with breastfeeding, and the fact that I got mastitis 3x (!!), Sarah made me feel so supported and gave me amazing guidance. She was always so quick to respond to my emails, and offered me such a sense of comfort and relief when she'd come over for consults and follow-ups. She was a great cheerleader, too, once my daughter and I finally found our breastfeeding rhythm! She was always very validating of my experience, and didn't judge or steer me in one direction or the other when I expressed my breastfeeding struggles to her.
