I will never EVER let Ireland Heating & Cooling technicians into my home or onto my property ever…read moreagain! Their employees will nickel & dime you for unneeded repairs, sell you air handlers with limited warranties and tamper with your outside unit. It all started with an inspection. They said they found a leak and the coils had corrosion, so I purchased a new air handler. Upon arrival, they claimed they forgot parts so another tech had to go get them. The 1st hour was spent going in & outside of my home repeatedly to go to his van. I still don't understand why because he never brought anything back with him. Another tech arrived and then they banged up my walls taking out the old unit and bringing in the new one. I addressed my concerns with their supervisor and provided pics of my walls, window sill and sloppy install which he basically blew off. For my inconvenience, he offered a free cleaning & inspection in the Fall. Well, another tech comes out for my Fall cleaning & inspection; however, there was no cleaning done whatsoever! The tech flips my heat on to 80, goes outside then returns and says my capacitor should be replaced. He started punching in his tablet and said it would be around $160. My initial inspection never mentioned an issue so I declined. At this point my house is feeling like 100 degrees and I noticed my AC never turned back on.  The techs were still in the driveway chatting with one another so I told them the AC wasn't working. They tried to tell me it takes 5-7 minutes when you change the settings from Heat to AC. They went back to the outside unit and then the AC came on but it didn't feel the same. In fact, the unit would blow cool then switch to heat on it's own. I called them back and this time I was told I needed a new motor for $580! I told them I would be contacting Allen's because I was very uncomfortable with how they were handling my service calls. When the Allen's service tech came out, I told him how the AC was blowing cool then after 30 minutes it would blow hot air. He discovered 2 wires were crisscrossed on the outside unit.  He also noticed Ireland's tech never cleaned my outside unit, so he took care of that as well. Once we were back inside, I told him the AC never blew as cool as before prior to the new Air Handler being installed by Ireland. He told me it was because Ireland's tech had it on the lowest setting; therefore, the Allen's tech changed the blower speed. The Allen's tech went above and beyond for their $69 service call to fix the screw ups from Ireland Heating & Cooling. Heed my warning, do NOT use Ireland Heating & Cooling! Save your money & your sanity! Oh yeah, that handler they sold me also has a ton of warranty restrictions and cannot be transferred to a new homeowner.
